I took my cat in to have a check up, then we decided to get her teeth cleaned and have a skull x-ray. We made the appointment, were told to have her fast before the procedure and take her in between 7:30-8:30AM. I did what was instructed to do, and left her in their care for the day. Let me just start by saying whoever the older receptionist lady is, really needs to learn customer service skills. I came in and she didnt even acknowledge me. Finally she asked what I was there for, called to someone in another room and then went about her way, without letting me know they were coming or tell me to have a seat, nothing. TIme went on and no word, so my husband called to see what was going on. They told him that "they checked for stones", but "werent able to get to her cleaning and x-ray today". WHAT?! 1. Stones were NEVER mentioned EVER, even during her initial checkup. 2. The ONLY reason she was there was for a teeth cleaning and x-ray, and they "didnt have time"?! As you can imagine, he was pretty baffled. He went to pick her up and the girl there said that she got our cat and another cat confused, so she wasnt checked for stones. She was literally there from 7:30AM to 4:30PM with nothing done whatsoever. What I dont understand is why they didnt call us at all to tell us that they werent able to get to her today. It shouldnt have taken all day for them to realize that or for us to call to get an update! I really thought this place was more reputable than this! I am beyond upset that this has happened and that there was absolutely no communication. Will NEVER go back and will NOT recommend to anyone!

Dr. Boyce has been my vet since 2005 when I started going there with Guinea Pigs for 4-H. As I got older and got married, we took our cats there to get declawed and neutered and a few dogs there to get neutered. Ive had a Guinea Pig with a throat abscess, a cat with a severe bladder infection, and a Miniature Pinscher where one testicle never dropped and was floating around near his liver. All of them received expert and world class care and were in perfect health within a day or two. Not to mention Boyce Animal Hospital gives the best quality care for the price! For a full exam, heart worm test, vaccinations, dental work, and grooming for a 90lb. German Shepherd it would cost $350 - $400 at Boyce Animal, depending on if any complications arise. With other Vet Clinics in the area and even in the New Castle area itd START at $500 and go up from there, one Vet went as high a $2,000. You just cant beat the quality service, experience, and care for the price that Boyce gives! I recommend him to anyone and everyone!

I had a distorted kitten that I brought to them when she became lethargic and deathly ill. They allowed my wife and I to visit her as often as possible. They said there was nothing they could do for her, so we talked the staff into giving us supplies to keep her alive as long as possible. The staff here was very empathetic to what we were going through, and worked so closely with us. Our cat conned us into bringing her home but putting on a façade like she was feeling better, but she wasnt. With everything that the staff did for our kitten and the tutorials they gave us for home hospice, we were able to nurse her back to health. I have never had a single problem with Boyce. They love their patients, and enjoy helping animals. For everyone posting a negative review, I can only assume you are unsatisfied with your life. Every staff member is helpful and understanding. They saved both of my cats lives, and walked me through every step of the process. Im just sad that Dr. Boyce is retiring.

I took my dogs there years ago. I dont remember much about the doctor, but do remember the receptionist was mostly rude. When my dog got sick and I took him in several times, I kept trying to tell her he hadnt pooped in 7 days and she scoffed and said that wasnt possible. I ended up so upset and took him to another vet where xray showed blockage and he had to be PTS. Recently we had an emergency with our eldrely dog and since we live about 2 minutes away, we rushed him there. Still the same receptionist and still the same attitude. The vet was nice though.

This was the first time bringing our fur friends to this facility. They were all on point. They listen and we came up with a plan to get our dogs back on track. We previously took them to another facility and come to find out it was all about the money not ur animal. Boyce worked with us on a reasonable price which was approximately 3/4 less that our previous vet. So please dont go with just ur first visit. Get at least 2 or even 3 opinions. U could save lots of money. I saved almost $1000 no kidding. Do ur researc. These ppl are awesome.

Took my 5 week old puppy to them he was a boxer and was in all of pain. They didnt tell me he had a broken pelvis. Well they also gaave my pup a flea pill in which we believe is the reason that he passed away. I have had 3 other vets tell me you can not get a pup under 8 weeks old a flea pill. So if you love your pet I would take them here at all!!!!! I am currently looking for another get because my female boxer is needing to be seen in next col days because she is pregnet. God knows I will never take another one of my pets here.

My fur-babies have been patients of Dr. Boyce for over a decade. He is the most loyal veterinarian in the Muncie area. Most veterinarians in Muncie, if there is an emergency, will send you to VCA Northwood Animal Hospital all the way in Anderson. Not Dr. Boyce. He is so dedicated to his patients and patient families that he will meet you at his clinic for emergency procedures. His heart is truly the size of his head, so loving and understanding. As long as I live in Muncie, he is our veterinarian.

This place put my cocker spaniel down a few years ago. My dog has to be put down as he is very sick. I was quoted a price two different times. On the day of his appointment, they attempted to charge me double. The receptionist and office manager were explicitly rude on several occasions. I do not recommend this place and am contacting the BBB. Please dont take your babies to this place - they lack compassion and empathy. Extremely rude.

Boyce has been my animal hospital since I arrived in muncie with my dogs. They have always been compassionate and caring. And when I had to visit them for cremation services fro one of my dogs, they not only allowed me time with my dog before she was taken away, but later send me a condolence card. Any vet that takes the time to express their sympathy will always get looked upon favorably.

Dr. Boyce is very personable he loves animals. I have taken my pets there for years. His staff are great also. I had to have my Chi put down with cancer they were very sympathetic. I was in pieces over the whole thing. His job is not always easy, he has a big heart. Thankful for them!
