Frankford Animal Clinic 1826 Frankford Avenue Panama City, Florida 32405 United States To Whom It May Concern: Last Thursday, August 14, 2014 my daughter Jacquelyn and her fiancé rushed to your facility since your facility was the closest to their residence. They had their dog with them who had just been struck by a utility vehicle. My daughter went inside to ask if someone could help them. Someone from behind the front desk came out to the vehicle and peered inside. I have no idea if she was clinical or not. I do know she spent seconds, went inside and came back out seconds later to say the doctor was too busy, not that he was in surgery, just that he was busy and that they would have to take their dog somewhere else. Are you kidding me? Yes the dog died but how could your employee send them on their way without even having the doctor look at the dog? Isn’t that what a Vet does? Treat animals? The doctor couldn’t have spent 2 minutes to run outside and look at the dog? And if the doctor saw that the dog couldn’t be helped then maybe he could have offered to put him out of his misery for them. Instead they had to drive over the bridge to the beach with a bleeding dog in excruciating pain that died while obviously suffering before reaching the other clinic. Very disappointing, very sad and unacceptable. I’ll remember to remind my friends and family NOT to visit your clinic. Maybe WMBB would like to hear about this. You don’t help animals in emergencies, you send them on their way. Sincerely, Krista Wilson

My dad passed away in June of 2008 and I had to take on the burden of care for all of his remaining boston terriers (he had 13 at the time he passed but did have as many as 24 at one time at one point). I didnt have much experience dealing with Dr. Lowe except on rare occasion I went with my dad when one of the dogs had to be unfortunately put down, but the few times I did he was very understanding and compassionate. Since I took on the dogs after my dad passed, I have found homes for all of them with friends of mine. I did keep 2 of them as I considered these two my dogs too. One, Trouble, is now 15 years old and Tinker is 13 1/2. Trouble has clearly had a stroke and other health problems and was diagnosed with congestive heart disease. All of my dealings with Frankford Animal Clinic have been with Dr. Gillespie and he has been nothing but wonderful. He clearly loves what he does and is very passionate about his work! Hes also been incredibly accomodating. When I havent been able to afford care right then and there, he would allow me to make payments. I had an emergency at 2am one night and he met me there and allowed me to pay later. All I know is I thought I was going to lose Trouble in 2008. Here we are, March 2, 2010 and Trouble is still with me! I credit this to the wonderful care of Dr. Gillespie and his staff! The staff that works the desk have been wonderful and compassionate. I am very glad that this is the place I use and would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!

When adopting my first puppy finding a reliable and experienced vetrinary clinic was my top priority. For lack of better judgement I decided to go with the Frankford clinic. My puppy was mis-diagnosed and put on an unprecidented 100 day round of antibiotics by Dr. Gillespie, without showing any signs of improvement. He was not only MISDIAGNOSED by Dr.Gillespie but I also recieved the WRONG dosage and INCORRECT medication from him. Upon (ME) calling this to the offices attention I was recieved with much distain and impatience. Nothing was done to try to resolve the situation or help my puppy to better health (who I almost lost). Instead, not only the nurses but Dr. Gillespie was very rude to me and refused to see me earlier than a week even though my puppy could barely move and was in an immense amount of pain. I took him to another vetand within a week he was doing so much better, like night and day. I have heard that this clinic is renound for extensive periods of return visits and on top of that high prices that cant be justified by the service or the knowledge of the doctors and staff. The better business bureau has been contacted. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I am very disappointed to even write this review but feel others should know before choosing this vet. My mom passed with several pet kitties left behind. I took the cats to Frankford Animal Hospital for exams and vaccinations. I know my mom didnt keep the cats up-to-date because of the cost; but to ensure successful adoption, I wanted to be sure they were healthy. I was told they had a clean bill of health but later learned one of the other cats (taken to a different vet) tested positive for feline leukemia. I was never asked or offered to test the cats BEFORE the vaccination was given which obviously would affect their care and adoption. Sadly, they have found homes but the new owner cant help but fear they might infect the other cats. A new test will not show since they have the vaccination. Thats a moment I wont get back but has lasting implications quite frankly during an already challenging time. Very disheartening to me and irresponsible care by their team.

I brought my cats in because the have fleas and the oldest had dug a spot bare on her back the size of a quarter. They were very friendly to me and my 2 cats. They also were one of the few offices in town that have comfortis for cats. Both cats were examined and one cat had her rabies vaccine. I dropped them off in the morning and picked them up at lunch. In my opinion the visit was very pleasant. I left with two pills of comfotis for fleas and was told the bare spot on the oldest cat wasnt infected and recommend over the counter triple antibiotic ointment until it is healed. Based on my experience I would recommend them.

Dr. Gillespe and his staff have been wonderful, kind and most of all patient with my cat & I. We went for about 2 months but through that time his health deteriorated and I had to put him down but I know the staff and the Dr. did everything they could and were so caring along the way. On his last appointment I wasnt expecting the amount of compassion I got from everyone there. One of the nurses even saw I had try to get paw prints of my kitty but since his paws were so furry it didnt work and she made a little mold for me. Ill be taking my future pets there for as long as Im in the area. Highly recommend.

I took my dog to the clinic to get a cyst removed and his ears flushed as he had a constant drainage. When I left the clinic I was given ear drops and told he would be okay. Two days later his ears were pouring he was miserable and sick. I called the clinic and lets just say I wait for the moment when I get to take care of the low life money grubbing pieces of crap. The doctor wouldnt even speak to me and the twat he sent out could only touch my leg and go "oh I know". They are verrry expensive and frankly not worth the time or the money. My dog is deaf now.
