I have been a patient at Focus Eyecare for several years, and have brought my husband and three children there as patients as well. I am absolutley certain we get more thorough exams and better perscriptions and care than at the chains that move masses of people through! I have a chronic, recurring eye condition, and Dr. Amstutz helps me manage it and make informed decisions about my treatment so that I am completely confirdent if and when I need a different approach, we will know it together, and until then we are minimizing my need for treatment with the least invasive means necessary. This is a huge comfort to me. I also am confident we get the best options for our corrective vision needs. Once I had a pair of glasses that I just couldnt get used to. Everything about my prescription was technically perfect, and the glasses had been made correctly, but Dr. Amstutz spent the time to figure out that my new glasses had a different brand of lens in them and that some people occasionally get used to the way one brand is made and cant adjust easily to the other brand. He got my glasses right for me at no extra charge, something I know I would not have gotten at the bigger chain stores, since technically everything had been done right. The staff is friendly and caring. They love seeing my kids as they grow and recognizing them and their likes. I will not go anywhere else for my familys eyes, and I have referred friends to them many times over the years.

I have diabetes and come to Focus Eyecare each year for an exam. This was my first visit with Dr. Candice Olund. She examined me and explained the eye photos that were taken. I had only a slight change and didnt need new glasses this year. Dr Olund was very professional and helpful with any question I asked. When I arrived for my appointment, there was a question about my insurance coverage. I am on my wifes policy and she had recently retired from the VA hospital. The HR at VA had mistakenly somehow put my coverage on inactive. They showed me the paperwork - and I had my wife contact VA to get it corrected - which happened the very next day. All the staff were helpful and they refiled my claim again. I have worn glasses for most of my life, and this center is the best and most helpful that I have visited. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a wonderful experience at Focus Eyecare Center, on Charlestown Road. My first visit was with Dr. Olin. She was AWESOME! I had several eye issues to discuss & she made sure to touch on each one of those. A few weeks later, I took my 8 year old son to see Dr. Amstutz. I was equally impressed by his knowledge, ability to interact with children, and his professionalism. My son LOVED him! The staff is also very professional & friendly. I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a new eyecare facility. Dr. Amstutz has done an outstanding job creating his practice!

I have been going to Focus Eyecare for several years and have never been disappointed. I fell and did a real job on my glasses and when I brought them in to see if they could anything with them, I was very happily surprised to see that they repaired them at no cost to me. I would have sworn they were beyond repair. The staff is always helpful and informed about your insurance particulars. I was impressed on my last visit to know that they check you insurance the day before you come and they can answer your questions quickly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I received excellent care while at Focus Eyecare. As a new patient; I was able to schedule an appointment the next day and they did a full assessment of my condition. I have been having headaches and some blurriness but I was unsure if it was vision related or not. Dr. Amsted did a complete evaluation and also provided a full image of my eyes (this was optional because it cost 15.00 more). I feel like he spent enough time with me to understand my symptoms. Also, the staff was very pleasant and the wait was under 15 minutes. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Olund and her staff are the best Ive seen in my 15 yr history of needing vision correcting. They are easy to work with and treat patients the way people should be treated. Wait times are almost nonexistent as this office does not double book appointments. I always have ample amount of time to ask any questions or get clarifications from the doctor. Generally, everything is explained in such a way that I do not have any questions. They are only a phone call away if you have any question or concerns. I cannot give them a high enough rating.

Dr. Oland and staff helped me through the entire process better than I thought possible. I have been in need of glasses(nearby subjects) for some time and have been very reluctant since I have 20/20 distant vision. Dr. Oland gave a complete explanation as to how this happened to me; (I had my eyes corrected through RK about 20 years ago.) The staff was excellent in helping me choose a pair of frames that looked great and fit perfectly. I will definitely send everyone I know to Focus Eyecare Center.

My entire family goes to Dr. Amstutz for our eyecare. He is very thorough and explains things in terms that are easy to understand. He works great with children and is very friendly and patient. When our youngest daughter (now 8 years old) gets her eye exam, he always includes her in the conversation about her eyesight, and doesnt just address me. She loves looking at the latest variety of frames they have, and looks forward to going to the eye doctor!

Dr. Amstutz is a caring and well-educated doctor who understands my questions (and could interrupt me to answer, but still lets me finish my question) and answers them in a way that shows he cares that I understand his answers. His staff is friendly and inviting and I look forward to seeing them prior to my visits.
