The primary disappointment, resides within the clinical side, no doubt. Not only have we perplexed them, regarding various symptoms our cats have undergone, and were recommended to other doctors that had nothing to do with his primary issue at hand, but following a blood and urine test, we were NEVER told our cat had kidney disease, until we recently came in, following newer and more pressing symptoms. It turns out that our cats initial and seemingly jaw related issues, is all linked to these newer issues that have surfaced and which we were able to attain more info on after our recent visit, where, during the medical records recap we were alerted to the fact that he had kidney disease. Initially, we were only told that some debris was found in his urine and not to be concerned, as long as he is drinking/ getting enough water. We were "NOT" previously advised that he had kidney disease. This entire time, we could have had him on a special low protein, high fat diet. Recently, though, it turns out our cat had a stroke...which we determine elsewhere and considering the new symptoms; loss of muscle control, blindness, difficulty eating, kidney disease...amongst others. All of this, linked and pointed to the fact that this is a common issue for cats suffering from kidney disease. We will be taking him to my wifes old family vet, despite the hour+ drive. As for the rest of the staff, the front desk ladies are often times on the colder, inhospitable side of things, but the more often we went, the more "some" of them warmed up...though, they still have "their days." Often times, me and the wife would leave saying, "I dont get it, she used to be really nice, but these last few times shes been kind of grumpy..." or vice versa. There is one front desk lady, however, that we thoroughly enjoy there, but she took some warming up to, to get to that point. She often times helps out the doctors, so we occasionally have the pleasure of her acquaintance in the doctors room as well. But one time we walked in with our older kitty, who was experiencing tooth problems, and an older lady we havent had too much dealings with in the past, told us, "ohh, shame...it might be time to start considering a new kitty." She may have been trying to pitch one of the kittens they had in the front desk area, at the time...but our thought was, "What? These arent trade in vehicles...and its just a tooth issue!" Were not sure if she thought it was another cat, but it was inappropriate.

I love this place! Dr. Weber and Dr. Anderson are amazing! They are honest about needed services, and things that will help maintain your pets health in the long run. They have huge hearts, and are always helping rescue and place animals into homes. The girls in the office love what they do, and are truly great individuals. My dog is a boxer, going to be 7yrs old, and has had major allergy problems and digestive problems his whole life. Since coming here, the Dr.s had recommened taking him off his steroids for allergies, and his allergies have gotten better with their recommendations of other meds, while avoiding the liver damage that the steroids cause! Jakers, my dog, loves to come here, and is always excited when he sees the staff. Ive come to pick him up several times, and he is being played with in the fenced area, or up in the front area(when not busy) hanging out with the girls. I cant speak highly enough of everyone in that office. I trust them to do whatever is needed for his health care. In fact, right now Im in Seattle, and Jakers has to have some "tumors" removed on this upcoming Tuesday - the staff has been more than communicative with me, and are going to care for him since his "mommy" wont be there - they are just simply the best! Ill never go anywhere else!

I love the CRAH! My family has taken our dogs there for years and now they care for my cats, Sam and Gus as well. All of our animals, even my cats, who despise the car ride getting there, love being at the clinic. Mostly because they always get so much attention when they go. They are even the reason I got Sam in the first place. The ladies up front always greet us with a hello and smile. They know exactly who I am when I walk in the door. I love Dr. Weber and his staff. They take the time to get to know both me and my pets more personally. They do an amazing job with them and trust me, my cats can be pretty ornery from time to time. My animal is their priority when theyre with them. Ive never felt rushed and hes always willing to answer all my questions, no matter how silly. Dr. Weber and his staff have always gone above and beyond for the care of my cats. They are always honest about what care should take place. I know that if I ever needed to leave them there they would be in the best hands being treated just as they would at home. I wouldnt trust anyone else with them. Go see them! They do a great job caring for your furry family members!

Kudos to Dr. Weber and his staff! I have a beloved 7 year old bunny, Steve, who appeared to have a tumor on his testicle, plus he was not eating well & drooled a bit. Dr. Weber & his staff took wonderful care of him (and coddled my emotions quite a lot). Dr. Weber discovered Steve had, instead of a tumor, a very uncommon incidence of a hernia that allowed Steve’s bladder to slip through. He repaired that & also trimmed and did all that vets do to rabbits’ overgrown teeth. Today Steve’s “pipes” are working well and he is chewing on paper and eating some kale! He is even stretching out fully onto his tummy as if he’s quite comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Weber & praise him & his staff at Cedar Rapids Animal Hospital for the wonderful care & support. Also, despite being a single woman with a disability, I found the service prices affordable.

Was told 30 mins before I had to bring in my cats that they needed rabies shot before they could get fixed. Was not told this during the 2 times of setting up an appointment of which one that had shots and which didnt. They told me they would call the previous vet of one of the cats to get her records and didnt. Kitty leukemia and rabies shot are not required for this procedure, vets just like to say that for more money as well as personal policy. I would not recommend this vet because lack of communication.

Honest. Friendly. Caring. Sensitive. Thoughtful. We switched veterinary clinics a few years ago when our veterinary clinic changed ownership and the new owners were constantly trying to upsell products and services. The atmosphere changed to one where the emphasis seemed to be on getting more of our money, not on providing better service for our pets. Since switching, we have been quite pleased with our experience at Cedar Rapids Animal Hospital and would feel confident referring them to others. Five stars.

Our pets have gone here for almost 20 years. Theyre good about getting in you quickly if its an emergency situation and the follow up calls really show how much they care. The entire staff obviously love pets: I took my 8 week old puppy in for her visit and everyone went bonkers over her, instead of just looking at her like yet another patient. They do a great job of keeping record and notes and remember previous visits. You feel like they know you and your pets.
