Had a very bad experience with this company. Another company recommended them to me to take my son to; especially since they work specifically with children. If I could give them NO stars I would also do that but unable to. About 2-3 months ago I took my son in for a check up with them to get an idea of what they were going to do about the cavity that he had. My son just turned 4 at the beginning of the year which is when we first went to the them for a check up. He is scared of the dentist because of a previous experience he had with getting tooth cleaning. When he went in to see the dentist at this company for the first time, the nurse had a hard time opening my sons mouth since he was scared to give him an X-ray. Knowing this they just sent my son in to see the dentist. We saw the Dentist and he had a hard time opening his mouth also(my son was screaming and crying while I had to hold him down). Knowing this was an issue the dentist made a plan of what he was going to do to get the cavity cleaned out and had me set up an appointment. I got one set up and it was a couple months out when I was able to take him in(which was today when I took him in). When I took him in he was showing again that he was scared but one of the nurses were helpful with my son and showing him what the tools were and what they did. My son of course was still very scared and was still crying. When the dentist came in I held my son down on the chair just like the previous visit while he had to pry my sons mouth open. So while he was doing work on his mouth my son was trying to close his mouth and was biting him because his fingers were in my sons mouth. The dentist was getting irritated and was kind of raising his voice to him at this time. Then the dentist put something in my sons mouth to help keep his mouth opened so he would not get bit. It worked for a little bit till my son some how maneuvered it around to the point he ended up biting the dentist finger again that was in his mouth. Which at this point the dentist then threw the tool that he was holding to fix his mouth and said "I cant do this..." as he walked out the door. Then he sent in his receptionist to tell me that he is done and that I will need to take my son somewhere else and see if the job is finished.... So not only did he not fix my sons tooth, but he probably made my son more scared than he originally was.... He also acted very unprofessional towards myself and my child. I would not recommend for anyone to go to this dentist.

I brought my son in last june(2015) and the ladies at the front desk were not as helpful and friendly i was expecting. my son was 2 and it was his FIRST dental visit ever and i told them that but when the dentist came in, he just cleaned my sons teeth and then was done. he wasnt as efficient nor as friendly as i thought either. Then when his visit was over, they told me "well our scheduler is booked up back to back at the moment so they said they would give me a call once they had openings" but here it is JUNE 2016 and still havent gotten a phone call, letter nor postacrd in the mail. only reason i am doing 1 star is because they wont let me pst with NO stars. VERY unhappy and will be going somewhere else.

I have three children that have now been to this office and each experience was absolutely wonderful. My oldest son is 13 and loved the environment. My 11 year old son is scared of the dentist and pretty much any doctor, well he allowed them to take x-rays, clean his teeth, and even allowed them to use the fluoride on his teeth. (It did help that they allowed his best friend to come back to the room with him at the time though) Now my youngest is only 10 months and they even saw her so that she would start getting use to them looking in her mouth when she was there. These guys are absolutely wonderful and wont take my kids anywhere else.

Very positive experience. My four year old needed some extra work done on a tooth. This type of work would have my eight year old in a panic. My four year old didnt even squirm, it was as if she wasnt even aware anything odd was going on, I was SHOCKED. The Dr. and assistant had everything organized, explained a few things as they were working, talked to her in kid "lingo" and we were done within 16 minutes. It felt much longer to me as I was nervous about how she would react but ultimately this changed my own opinion about the dentist office.

I was so impressed with the Iowa Pediatric Dental Center! My son had his first appointment here on 6/29/16. He loved it! The staff is so welcoming. They worked wonderfully with my son and explained everything in a way that he would understand. I am so happy with choosing the IPDC!

My kids have been seeing Dr. Peterson for 6 years now and have always recieved top notch care. The staff is kind, friendly, positive, thorough, and patient, especially with my youngest who has special needs! Highly recommend!

Everyone in the office was very nice I just feel that once we get back in the rooms there is a lot of sit time waiting on the doctor then he is there for 2 min and just moves on to the next kid while you wait in his office...
