Our family has gone to Mac Rae Park for our dogs for years. They are wonderful and helpful people who really know what theyre doing and care about you and your pets comfort. They helped my husband with my parents two dogs when we left him with them while on vacation and one of them got extremely stressed out and had bloody diarrhea and he needed to figure out which one it was and what to do. We also had to put down our family dog of 10 years recently. She was a large dog and they dont typically live long. She was 15 and old and miserable. They were very understanding and kind and helped my family through our hard time.

THE PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE DON"T CARE ABOUT ABOUT U OR UR PET MY VET SENT ME HERE BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT DOC AT THE TIME SO I WENT DOWN HERE THE VET DIDN"T EVEN TRY TO HELP MY 11 YEAR OLD CAT SHE TOLD ME THAT MY CAT HAD RABIES N THERE WAS NOTHING TO DO TO HELP HER N THAT WE NEED TO PUT HER DOWN N GET TESTED SO SHE PUT MY CAY DOWN N HAD ME TAKE HER DEAD BODY TO THIS PLACE IN ANKENY OF THE TEST N THE TEST RESULTS CAME BACK NEGATIVE!!!! SO THANK U GUYS FOR KILLING MY CAT FOR NOTHING!!! SO IF U LOVE UR PETS N U DONT WANT THEM DEAD GO SOME OTHER PLACE THAT WILL CARE FOR THEM!!!

Could get a lighter door to building ( hard when pet in one hand and trying to open door with one... but does not take away how Conveniently blocks from my house it is... , friendly staff, super fast... ( my doctor could use time managment like this t*)and prices good first chk up, the whole package all less than $20 they have always answered questions and or concerns regarding my animals. highly recommend

My cat was really not feeling well, and had been getting worse all week. I was very worried. I called Mac Rae Park Animal Hospital, and got a same-day appointment. The office visit was quick, easy, affordable and informative. After only a few days, my girl was back to her old self. I couldnt be happier with my experience. Everyone who I met was very friendly and helpful.

They are the only vet in my lifetime that I have been to that got to know you by name and really cared about you and your cat or dog. The most nicest people I have ever met And great prices too. Would never go anywhere but there. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for all they have done for me and my dog and cat. Go there and you will see for yourself

The office staff and Vets took great care of our dog and us over the years and during a traumatic time when our beloved dog passed. They are very special people. We have been to other vets before but they just didnt measure up to Mac Rae. If we get another dog we will only go here. They are the best. They will give you and your pet that personal touch you need.

I dont do reviews. But heres the exception. Been going here for 15 years, plan to go 15 more. Everyone here is the best. Yes, you may have to wait a bit, BUT, they are going to give you everything you need to have- just like the person before you. Their office visit and medication pricing cant be beat. No, not even by 800petmeds. Make McRae your vet, seriously.

Ive only taken my cat here once, but I will now call it my vet in Des Moines. They were so helpful and understanding. My cat had been acting strange, and she immediately diagnosed the problem and got me on the right track. They even provided me with a coupon for an extreme discount on some flea and tick medication. Highly recommended.

Even though my German Shepherd had never been there before, they were able to pencil us in to look at his limp. The doctor and staff were friendly, caring, and professional. The price for the visit and medications were very reasonable. They definitely have their stuff together; I wont take my pets anywhere else!

The staff is very friendly. The location is convenient. Ive never had to wait too long to be seen. Never had a bad experience there. Any questions ive had have always been answered. The staff has always been great with my dog, -whom isnt near as fond of this place, as her owner. ;)

We have been happy with the care this vet clinic has provided for more than 17 years. They truly care about our pets. And they are reasonable in cost. Easy to contact and compassionate. We tried to relocate when we moved. But quickly returned. Because they are irrreplaceable.
