Horrible. If you care about your pet and the medical care that they receive DO NOT take your pet here. Weve have been taking our dog here for two years now. Every time they see us they are constantly trying to upsell us, so it feels like they care more about what we spend and less about the actual needs of our pet. Our dog also had blood drawn and the needle was inserted incorrectly which resulted in her not being able to properly put weight on it for two days afterwards. But was this made aware to us or did we receive any apology for it?..Nope. After two days of our dog not being able to walk we brought her back, worried that there was something wrong, to which the vet told us they had probably just inserted the needle wrong affecting her leg muscle. Still no apology. We have not been kept up to date on the necessary vaccinations and the renewal dates needed to maintain them. When going out of town we attempted to kennel our dog, only to be turned away the morning of because her vaccinations were not up to date. But we had never received any kind of notice of those needs either in visits or by reminders. In addition to having horrible pet care we have also experienced horrible customer service on every occasion we have needed assistance or have come in for a visit. Our dog also takes daily medication and we are treated like it is some huge inconvenience to them when we need to receive or fill a prescription. Bottom line...Go somewhere else. You will not receive quality care, service, or attention from Banfield.

We starting coming to this Banfield when our cat wasnt acting the same. He wouldnt eat, use the litter box, he kept coughing, and he wouldnt move at all. They did a million tests just to tell us he was fine. They did tell us he had a heart murmur and they did a chest x-ray. So we pay for them to do all of these things just for them to tell us they have no one on staff who can read the x-ray... Why did we pay almost $200 for them to tell us that?! We recently brought him back for a dental cleaning because we had a Wellness plan to help cover some of the routine costs. They told us when he was under anesthesia his heart was acting abnormal. They suggested we get an ultrasound... I refuse to pay them $500 so we are taking our poor kitty somewhere else. This place over charges and seems to not know how to do their job. They gave us some medicine for our cat. They never even told us what it was for or why we needed to give it to him. The next day I read the packet to found out he has roundworms and hookworms. I wish they could have communicated that to us!!! So since we are taking him somewhere else tomorrow the new vet asked us to get a copy of the x-ray that they couldnt read. I called earlier in the week and they said they would call when its ready. So we called today and they had no idea that we had called a couple of days ago... now we have to wait again for them to get us a copy. Im pretty sure this place is run by monkeys. I am normally a pretty nice person but I have nothing good to say about this place!

The doctors are great, the customer service is not. IF you can get them on the phone, theres a good chance theyll put you on hold WITHOUT asking or informing you theyre doing it. I spent 4 minutes shouting and trying to figure out if my phone was broken, only to hang up and call back to have a *lovely* woman snarkily inform me that "I had to put you on hold to help the customer IN FRONT of me." Meanwhile, Ive been listening to the same woman talk to the customers dog for the last two minutes. I always am super patient, arrive early, and end up leaving an hour and a half for something small. Im put over the edge with their RUDE front desk lady. Not to mention in 2015 they didnt inform me when it was time to get my cats shots before the plan ran out, so I had to pay out of pocket when I shouldnt have. I made it a POINT to call before my dogs plan ran out the next year and the same lady tried to tell me it wasnt covered, argued with me for a good ten minutes, and then discovered OH IT IS COVERED AFTER ALL. I will not be back. Ever.

I have been a client of Banfield of Eden Prairie for the last six years and I can proudly say this is an exceptional veterinary clinic. I am an ICU registered nurse, so I know what is and is not good care. My precious Gary was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. From the secretary making an emergent appointment for me to be initially seen, to the vet who accurately assessed and explained the treatment plan, giving me all the information as well as options, to the vet technician that comforted my baby while he was scared and hurting. Every time I have needed anything, the staff have been willing to make arrangements. Each time my pets have had surgery, the vet has made time to call me before and after the procedure. The professionalism, quality of care, and love of their furry clients shines through from each staff member. My family and I appreciate all of their kindness and dedication to caring for my dog and four cats. -From the family of Lady, Opie, Gary, Nadia, and Roxie.

My family and I have been going here for roughly 9 years, with about a 2 year gap in the middle. Ive never liked them very much in the sense of how they treated my animals. I have had 5 animals go to banfeild, & all 5 have died due to unethical choices of doctors. Wednesday, my 4 year old dog was puking, had blood in her stool & trouble breathing, we took her in & they sent her out with water bubbles in her back & meds. We then had to call them for an emergency appt Thursday, about 24 hours after her first appt & they told up "we will TRY to get you in". They were not only rude about it, they were unethical & had no heart. We proceeded to take her to emergency care, where she is being held over night to do more tests because the doctors at banfield were too lazy to make sure shes okay Wednesday when we originally took her. Banfield does have SOME good nurses, but thats only about 1 or 2. Otherwise, this place is a piece of crap with poor ethics & education.

I recently took my foster dog to this clinic as they are a vet offering a discount to the rescue that I work with and let me tell you, my experiences were awful! My husband and I are both medical professionals and I dont feel the Dr or staff here are competant or reasonable with their treatment plans or diagnosis. One example of many: To collect a urine sample on a dog, they require you to bring the dog in so they can insert a needle thru the skin to collect a sterile sample. Pretty invasive if you only suspect there may be a problem and not 1 other vet that I asked about this said that was their procedure. If you like long wait times, non-knowledgable associate staff and a vet who can easily rack up your bill with non-needed tests and procedures (probably due to lack of experience and/or confidence), then this might be the place for you, but I will never recommend this place or take any of my animals there again!
