Where should I start? I got my Aussie and took him to Dr. Ross the day we got him where he got caught up on his shots and we were told he was positive for Lymes disease. The vet gave us some meds for him, and that was that. I later found out he was supposed to have blood work drawn every 6 months to check his count and potentially be retreated if his numbers got to high. Dr. Ross also told us we were feeding Ranger a deadly food (Blue Buffalo) and recommended we switch - I did some independent research and found the issues only showed up in 12 cases and only in one line and flavor of the food, (which we were not feeding him). When Ranger was neutered, I was given no after care instructions other than to bring him back in a few days to have the stitches removed, Ranger had to be taken to the ER vet later to be stitched back together. Dr. Ross was also under dosing Ranger on his flea and tick meds - we only found that out because Dr. Ross didnt have his meds ready for us when it was time to pick them up and a tech figured it out. This put the icing on the cake so we decided to switch vets. Unfortunately, this would not be the end of my problems with Dr. Ross. I requested the vet records be faxed to the new vet in Marion which never happened, so when we moved to Massachusetts I had to call our last vet in Marion AND Dr. Ross office to have them fax the records to our new vet in Mass.; I was told this would take a day. Two weeks later we get to our appointment only to find that the records were never sent. I called AGAIN and requested the records be sent to me since this has been a continual issue - the tech sent me ONE vaccination receipt for ONE shot out of the multiple he had while he was there and it wasnt even the most recent. It was like they just clicked the first receipt they saw, printed it out, and sent it to me. I had to call back a fourth time and requested that they take the file and print out every single thing they had and the tech told me she didnt understand what I needed....luckily after more explaining I got the records. Finally a YEAR after switching vets I can finally say that I dont have to deal with them any longer....

To The woman Kristen...Dr Ross has been my Veterinarian for as long as she has been out of school. She has always gone above and beyond any Veterinarian Ive ever known. The stories I can tell you of her compassion and caring for her clients is to long to list. But here goes the most important to me......Move in with my new husband with my two girls. Thomas was our cat. Thomas wanted to a barn cat for awhile. One morning my girls and I went to feed all the animals and Thomas was just sleeping in the hay. Went out at night and both girls seen Thomas was still there....of course they dive bomded their kitty. Thomas make a horrible sound and I knew something was wrong. My kids where losing their minds and crying so hard. I called Dr Ross .she was on her way home but told me to meet her at the clinic in 15mins. My kids could not stop crying. I thought for sure Thomas got into a farm machine and broke his back. Come to find out he only broke his leg. Kathy let my kids come every day to see Thomas while he was in the hospital. Thomas was one of Dr Rosss first kitties. In October of 2014 I drove 240 miles to ...after almost 23years have Thomas be put to sleep by the only ca ring Dr he knows. Let me add....while my kids were in the waiting room the night they found him in the barn. ...The most important thing to this day is...when Dr Ross said to me was...I know how important Thomas is to you and your family! I can tell you so many things that she has done for my animals .If your Dog didnt get a bath or a nail trim.....go to a groomer not a Veterinarian!

If i could give a less than poor rating i would. About 4 years ago we had a german-shorthair that was 14 years old and a great hunting dog. When we brought her in for her rabies shots the vet Dr. Ross didnt even show her face, her techs gave the shots. One of them noticed she had a unusually low blood pressure so she we back and said something to the Dr. Ross and she said to continue with the shot like normal. 2 days later my dog died in my arms because her heart was to weak to receive the shot. When we called and told her our dog couldnt move she said not to worry it would be fine in the morning; well it wasnt fine. Furthermore, just last year we had another short-hair just a year old that got an infection in his eye so he went on steroids, when he came off the steroids his jaw locked shut and he could barely eat. When we took him to Dr. Ross she found cancer in his jaw and suggested we put him down immediately. I did some independent research and found that after coming off steroids dogs sometimes get mms and the muscles lock up. When this was suggested Ross dismissed it and said to put him down. So i took my dog to another vet who temporarily put him back on the steroids to treat the mms and it worked. He is still alive and healthy to this day no thanks to Dr. Ross and her uneducated staff....

I brought my two cats in for a routine vet checkup and vaccination. My experience was mostly good. Dr. Ross was nice and took the time to listen to my concerns and address them. The one issue I have with the clinc is that it seems that they were pushing a product to their customers today. One of my cats had dirty ears, which the vet said signaled an ear infection. They gave me two different solutions to put in her ears. The first was a cleaning solution, the second was a topical ointment. Each of these ended up costing $20 each. They did not give me the printout of my bill until after I paid, even though I tried to communicate that I wanted to look at it before I paid. The next customer in line was also prescribed the same $20 cleaning solution I was. When I went home, I googled ear infections in cats, and saw that there is a medication called Bannix that would have both cleaned and medicated my cats ears that only cost around $13. I would recommend that this vet clinic work on its communication with customers regarding the costs of treaments. Next time, I will be buying my pet prescriptions at my local store.

Praises for Dr. Ross! Dr. Ross has taken care of our 4 cats and Golden for at least 8 years. Weve all been cared for and given all the attention needed. Our last visit was a had case - 4 sick cats with different symptoms but some in common. She took the time to go over everything and provided a successful treatment for all. 4 cats all sick at once is a VERY hard thing to deal with. Here is the thing Id like to point out since she had a negative review - Our beautiful 13 year old kitty was sick but the severity was masked by the group issues. All 4 cats had similar symptoms, this one happen to have heart disease, she had a stroke and at the emergency vet we had to let her go. While there they told me that there would be NO WAY to be able to predict this to have happened. Sometimes as people we receive treatment that we project. Ive never been mistreated by Dr. Ross or any of her staff - including the many 4 legged friends that are there to visit with while waiting. Thank you Dr. Ross from our entire "pride" which includes the dog too!
