This so called company cannot take its own employees into consideration with regards to anything. As a previous worker, I was given an opportunity into the audacity that is the corporate Lasik Vision Institute. This company is fraudulent at best. Let me start by informing you that their is no price ratio for any procedures in Lasik. There are certain deals you will told about, and other relatively useless competitions you may win. All of this is a giant ploy. At LVI the price per eye starts at $299 which is true. What you are not told is that Corporate LVI demands of their centers an average price per eye typically ranging between $1300 and $1500. Now your custom pricing is entirely based on how much haggling the seller will do and how much they can safely lock you in at. Centers manager embrace the opportunity to rip off an individual if it means raising their centers A.P.E. (average price per eye). One of the wonderful ways LVI desperately claws at the heels of society for patients is to trick them into calling us. Of the training Id received, much was in regards to phone calls deliberately made to make the patient think they have won something or that a one time offer has been made available to them. No offers at LVI are one time. In fact, if you decide not to go through with a laser correction procedure you can expect to receive a minimum of one phone call every month for the next year. In my personal experience, we would call select patients up to three times a day. During the selling process in Lasik, it is common for our salespersons to miss some of the risks of laser refraction surgery. My manager had told me to never describe Lasik surgery as painful or to even say anything that would make to healing process seem like anything more than just a light irritation. Patients would go into surgery without being fully aware that in aftercare they could do permanent damage to their eyes, including but not limited to; halos, glare, blurred vision, folding of the corneal flap. What kind of medical center would convince you to have surgery and not tell you about the possible harm you can do to yourself without proper care? The Lasik Vision Institute. After having experienced the painful realism of the Lasik Vision Institute, I personally would recommend going anywhere else to have this procedure done. In fact, during my time at LVI i was once sent out on a trip to SPY on the Lasik PLUS center and see how they compared to our center. My conclusion is Lasik PLUS dominates LVI in every category. Overall professionalism, center cleanliness, advertising efficiency, patient call lists and procedure quality are all superior at the Lasik PLUS center. While Im sure Lasik PLUS is not the only center superior to LVI, it is the only one to which I can factually confirm is far above the Lasik Vision Institute. One thing Id like to leave people with in regards to the Lasik surgery procedure, over at the Lasik Vision Institute we use a small blade to cut into the corneal layer of the eye to create a flap. Not only does LVI not directly tell their patients about this hidden blade, they also refrain from explaining that this form of technology uses an outdated procedure. Many places use a secondary laser with which they create this flap (Lasik PLUS being one of them). This procedure is much faster, relatively pain free, and creates a more accurate cut than a standard blade. LVI refuses to equip this technology onto their center due to the high price of the technology. The Lasik Vision Institute is vastly more concerned with the money from their patients rather than the patients themselves. This place does not deserve your acknowledgement. Please, for your sake, go anywhere else.

Ive come to realized that a large percentage of people who give reviews are from the small percentage who are unhappy with their service. Then there are the rest of us who have good experiences...we tend to just go on with our lives and dont write reviews. My experience with the West Des Moines office of The LASIK Vision Institute has been wonderful. From the beginning they were very professional and polite. They quickly learned my name and face, and welcomed me by name as I walked in. I was given pertinent information and had a good idea of what to expect during and after my procedure. My actual procedure was more painful than I had anticipated due to my particular anatomy. However the staff was very caring and took good care of me, checking on my multiple times while I was waiting for my ride. I followed instructions for the week following my procedure and was again given a good idea of what to expect. My vision continues to improve! Thank you to the staff of West Des Moines LASIK Vision Institute.

I found the staff to be super friendly and thats what ultimately made me comfortable enough to go through with the surgery. Of course it didnt hurt that they had a groupon for the surgery which helped tremendously with the cost! My own personal experience with the surgery itself, was that it was not as bad as I expected, and the recovery was easy and quick for me. So far, three weeks out of surgery, I have 20/15 vision and Im not experiencing dry eye. Keep in mind this is my own personal experience and every one is different, but I am extremely pleased.:) This company offers the same technology as other Lasik companies, but I was told that they have their surgeon fly in to different locations twice a month in order to save money and offer a lower price. Totally worth it to me. I would absolutely recommend this company to my friends and family.

I had a fantastic experience with the Lasik Vision Institute. The entire staff is extremely friendly and genuinely care for each customer. They know you by name and make you comfortable every visit. I was a little concerned after seeing several negative reviews and asked about those. Sara addressed them and advised those were from previous owners/managers. I went for my day after appointment and can see 20/15 and the doctor said I might end up with 20/10 when my eyes are fully healed. Thank you Lasik Vision staff for a wonderful experience. I have been asked where I went and there are several people interested. I will definitely be sending people to see you!

The entire staff is very nice. No complaints in that area.My biggest complaint is that when you have a scheduled appointment and they allow walk ins, those walk ins should be moved to the back after the scheduled appointments are seen. I was scheduled at 11am. Sat in the waiting area until 6pm then was moved back to another waiting area to sit for another hour. The entire procedure took all of 20 mins. The staff was very apologetic but when you are dropped off you have no way of going any where to even get lunch. It was very cold and rainy so walking was not even an option. However, one of the workers offered to take us to Subway on her lunch.

Had my Lasik done here just over a month ago. LOVE the outcome!!! The doctor was awesome and the staff continues to be on point. I will let you know, which I was unaware due to not asking the right questions, that if your vision is really off like mine was -3.75 in just one eye. It will take at least a month to become very clear far vision, it is not instantaneous like some people say it is, so do not be freaked out on day 2 or 3 when words and signs 10 blocks away are still a bit blurred.
