Forgive me, this is going to be a LONG post, but worth the read if you consider going to this office. Went in the last of May to see what was going on in the back of my throat in the exact spot Dr. Allison had removed my left tonsil. I had done prior research & found it to be a mucocele, but still wanted an opinion. I told him it was giving me pain whenever I would eat, cause it would swell up so much. He looked at it, said it was a mucocele, but had no idea what was going on. He then proceeded to tell me that he could remove it as a biopsy. Dr. Allison made me feel completely okay with it, despite him not knowing or performing this procedure before. I was very apprehensive about it, but he convinced me that everything would be completely fine. So fast forward a few weeks, everything is seemingly fine & I get a call that my pathology report came back, they want me to come in on my next scheduled date. My report says I have inflammation. Alright, cool. Not even a week later, Im having problems. The other side of my throat is irritated, but thankfully no mucocele. A few weeks after that, I feel a mucocele on the exact spot that was removed. Not only is there one, but after examination in there mirror, theres TWO. All nuzzled up right next to each other. So I call to schedule an appointment as early as I could, but this being Louisville, damn near impossible to see an ENT quick during spring/summer. The day of my appointment comes around, come to find out they dont even have me down for that day even though I was told, texted & received an email for that exact date & time. They put me down though so no biggie. My boyfriend is with me for moral support & not too soon after signing in, I get called back. Were sitting in the room, hearing Dr. Allisons nurse constantly reminding everyone that would listen that she has strep. Nice. Anyway! Dr. Allison comes waltzing into the room, asks me whats going on & I explain my symptoms. He barely takes a look into my mouth & tells me he sees nothing. Even after prodding it, I felt it swell. He then proceeds to tell me & Ill never forget it, "Now I told you last time that if this happens again, Im not going to do anything. I feel like I went out of my way to help you in the first place." Completely shut me down. Asks if I wanted to have him look in my throat with the camera they stick down your nose so, "It would make you feel better." Doesnt numb me with spray & just sticks it down my nose. Tells me what Im feeling is scarring. He can see how visibly upset I am by his complete & utter shutdown of my problems & tells me, "I dont mean to shut you down, I mean I dont want to turn you away so just keep an eye on it", & hands me my pathology report & leaves. Same nurse with the strep scurries out of the room after him. I left that office feeling like shit. He couldnt have cared less. My boyfriend even agrees that he was being a total asshole. So its now July, & I dont have an appointment with another ENT office til the 18th because places are so booked up. I went into this office with one pesky mucocele to having two very irritated mucoceles that are causing full blown irritation in that spot. After further research, I see now that he didnt remove it properly & I hope that the damage he has done isnt irreversible. Should have listened to my gut instinct the first time. So in conclusion, just like these reviews say; if you want a doctor that actually cares, you know, one that got into this field to help people instead of a paycheck, go somewhere else.

Had a procedure done on 4/11, a simple mucus retention cyst removed. I am there and am asked by the nurse why am I there and asked both by the nurse and Doctor if "Im sure I want to do this". Got my bill in the mail today was billed $190 for the surgery which I agreed to. Was billed $206 for a biopsy which I was never informed was going to be conducted. Not the nurse nor doctor said that they were going to send off the biopsy. Not the nurse nor Doctor said there was a reason or cause for concern which warranted a biopsy be sent off. The word biopsy was NEVER said while with Dr. Forwith or in the office by anyone. I will be filing a medical insurance claim AND contacting the ombudsman. DO NOT go there. Poor bedside manner and fraudulent insurance claims.

Took my son to see this dr. 7-13-12 because of a huge lump on the side of his neck. Dr. did an ultrasound and thought it might be lymphoma. Instead of him telling me in private he just says it out loud in front of my son.He ask me if there was any family history and I was so shocked I couldnt hardly speak as I chocked back tears. My son knew right away that something was wrong and ask what lymphoma was and the dr. started to tell him and I spoke out over the Dr, and said, "its nothing & treatable." This Dr. should have spoke to me in private! Now my son is worried about maybe nothing. Will be finding a new DR.

Horrible experience both times that I went, I will not be going back. They called me back within 15 mins of the time I arrived but the wait for the actual doctor to come and talk to me was ridiculous. I waited over 30 mins. When he finally came in the room. He was very rude and short with me like I was wasting his time. On top of that I was told I had something that I did not have. I will not be returning.

Terrible. Called for an appointment for a strep test. Went in, waited 20 minutes in the waiting room, then 40 minutes in the exam room only to find out that they did not do strep tests! Why not let me know that when I called for the appointment? Huge waste of time! Would not make any concessions at all, charged me full price for the visit and were not very nice about it.

Dont come here unless you love to wait. As a new patient I had a 10am appointment and they ask you to come 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. I got there at 9:25am and wasnt taken in until after 11:30am. I wasnt out until close to 1pm. Everyone in the waiting room said the doctors are great but never on time. Probably wont be coming back.

I was very pleased with the ENT. I had allergy testing and am now on the allergy drops and have had great results during this season. Also lots of helpful information about my sinus issues. I would recommend the staff and dr to anyone . Everyone helpful and welcoming.

Dr. Alison has been the best ENT Ive visited. He was highly recommended by my PCP at Norton, and I was not disappointed. This makes me confused by some of these old reviews. You should see your PCP before you send yourself to a specialist with a self-diagnosis...

Dr Allison is truly the best! He is such a sweet and caring person, my daughter is always really nervous to go to the doctor & he really takes his time with her and talks her through everything! Would recommend this place to anyone! Best ENT hands down!
