we have gone to him several times and have NEVER walked through the doors without him saying he HAD to give us a shot. for things as small as colds!!!! he has always been friendly except for today. i took my 4 yr old in and he asked if i wanted him to have the shot. because i opted to not give my son the shot because i think he abuses and over does it with the shots... (big time, ask ANYONE in the rainsville/fort payne area) he took great offense... became very angry and upset my son. told me to never come back. refuse to treat my son after i waited for 45 minutes to see him. he had already told me what was wrong with my son and still wouldnt treat him. he didnt give me ANY say so in MY sons treatment process. because i didnt opt for the shot and just want the oral medicine... he made a scene in front of the WHOLE staff and other patients. wouldnt let me apologize (even though i didnt know what i did) and said loudly through the halls to one of the nurses... "ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! i have NOTHING left to say to her!!" my son asked me why the dr. got so angry and left the room. VERY UPSETTING FOR A CHILD TO SEE AND EVEN FOR ME! UNPROFESSIONAL. IF YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE A SHOT FOR EVERYTHING AND BE THROWN OUT IF YOU DONT WANT IT... THEN STAY FAAAAR AWAY!!!

horrible, insensitive,insulting,rude,know it all HALF doctor,who places pride over the elderly s needs even placing an elderly persons life in jeopardy, by blocking medication previously scheduled by a multi office large corp Atlanta Cardio specialist/surgical group immediately reinstated by said specialist cardio group when his credentials of not being a cardio doctor was brought up he cursed loudly like a raving mad man throwing us out of his office telling us never to come back to find another doctor well we intend to find just that and or simply though not so simply make a 200 mile round trip back to Atlanta when we need someone we can count on, as well we intend to find a good legal team.

I was a paitent of Dr. Dales when i was in my 30s and i thought he was a good guy then . I moved away for about 20 years and upon my return i tried to return to him as my doctor . He put me through a series of questions in a rather rude attitude i felt like at the time . He ask did i smoke . I replied i did and have done so for 40 years . He ask was i willing to quit . I answered no . After 40 years i didnt see how quiting would do me much good . He stood and said he had no desire to be my physician. Smokers are nothing but trouble . And very rudely said you kno where the front door is .

Is a wonderful doctor. He is the kind of doctor you go to when you are sick, not when you dont feel good. He saved my life. He is also not a pediatrician. He does tend to lean toward shots, but that is because their effectiveness. If you want to feel better, and recover as quickly as possible you should Visit Dr. Dale R. Stierwalt MD.

Dr. Stierwalt has always taken excellent care of me and my family. I do not care for needles much and have declined getting a shot before in spite of Dr. Stierwalts recommendation. There was no subsequent meltdown. You would be hard pressed to find a doctor that is nicer and that cares more about his patients than Dale Stierwalt.

I this Dr Stierwalt is very professional and an excellent doctor! My son who is 14 likes him after one visit he decided on his own judgement. I personally think shots are the fastest way to get better.
