I was a patient for about 15 years. I once trusted and believed that Dr. Sparks and his staff had my best interest in mind. Even when he had me taking five different medications a day I believed but then my reproductive problems started. I went to specialist after specialist and was finally able to have another child with a lot of help. I couldnt prove that all those meds were to blame but my confidence was shaken. When I asked if the meds may have affected me in that way I was kind of shocked by the dedefensiveness displayed. The question seemed vaid to me because by that time 2 of the meds had been pulled from the market, but the response I got was something to the effect of.... Why would you come back to see me if you thought I caused that? I was speechless, but the answer was that I wanted to believe in my Doctor. Since then I have gone for annual check-ups, flu, routine prescriptions and referrals but I dont let him treat anything serious. After much prodding from family and friends I am going to find a new doctor... I only came to Sparks because my first doctor retired and because I grew up in an age that believed in science and by extension doctors, I never thought Id change doctors again. I finally lost the last bit of respect for him when a Pharmaceutical Representative came in with lunch for the entire staff as I was leaving.... He had tried once again to prescribe Statins for me and he seemed to me to be a little put out when I refused them again.

Dr. Dennis Sparks is the best physician I have ever met. I am currently 43 years old and an honorably discharged disabled veteran. I have been his patient since 2010 (this review is based on approx. 3 years of treatment interaction). He appears to be competent and knowledgeable to me. Note that I am very knowledgeable about human biochemistry, genetics, neurology, and I know a little about human physiology. However, where Dennis is unique is in his character and bedside manner. He is authentic at all times, never distance or opaque. He is generous with his time, and has never once rushed in/out, even if they are backed up/packed in the lobby. He does not chum it up, but does have a quick wit, and good humor. He is not overly paranoid about litigation and liabilities, but morally conscientious when appropriate caution is called for (eg., prescriptions). Dr. Sparks will be best appreciated by those who are intelligent, skeptical, and who appreciate kindness.

Best doctor around. wants to know your family history. on my first visit with him he asked me if i had anything going on with me he should know. i told him i was always hot and he knew exactly where to send me to get it checked out. he guessed thyroid and was right. every single doctor i have ever visited blew it off that i was hot all the time. go see him and tell him everything about your health. hell listen.
