From John Appelhof, Nancy is my wife, but somehow her name came up. My tooth #31 a molar in the lower part of the right side of my mouth is a train wreck! That tooth over the years has has several fillings and now has become a major problem. My former dentist who is good did not have the ability to diagnose the full extent of my problem so I was referred to two specialists. I decided to take a pass on that course and researched dental practices that could address and handle all dental problems and procedures. I was lead to Dr Laura Ward at Middletown Commons Family Dental. Their web site is excellent and explains everything one might ask regarding procedures, competitive pricing, and with a membership excellent rates. On arrival the staff is cordial and well trained. The building or dental complex is designed as well as the web site. I was employed at GE Medical Systems for 30 years and have extensive knowledge of medical equipment including dental, x-ray, CT, MRI, Patient Monitoring, etc. The diagnostic equipment they have is as good as it gets. The images I saw were better than I have ever seen. I even got to see in high definition color my "train wreck" #31. This coming Wednesday Dr. Ward is going to do her best to keep that tooth in place. I have full confidence in her and her ability and am glad I can give tooth #31 the best chance for survival. If it has to be removed I will leave knowing that everything was done by a well qualified dentist to save it. I definitely feel that this was a right choice.

I brought my daughter to see Dr. Ward and her team with normal expectations for a dental office visit. Having grown up in a small town, those expectations were fairly minimal, but I had heard good things about the new practice from others. This was going to be my daughters first visit to a dentist, and I imagined the impression would be a lasting one. To say that I was surprised is a major understatement. Where my childhood dentist experience reminds me of droning classical music and browsing through medical manuals (the only reading material in the office) here was a place that had iPads with childrens games, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and incredibly friendly staff who were happy to see you. Appearances are, of course, secondary to the performance of the actual practitioners, but Dr. Ward and her staff were above reproach in their patience and compassion for a three year olds first dentist visit. They even did X-rays, explaining it to my daughter as a "spaceship" (which was not far off the mark, that thing was cool). Really just a 10/10 experience, and everything was covered by our basic dental insurance. I scheduled my own check-up as we were leaving while my daughter selected a toy from the treasure chest. Yes, theres literally a treasure chest.

The entire experience was absolutely wonderful! The office is beautifully decorated and the receptionist staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. There was even a little chalk board welcoming the patients of the day. Dr. Ward was such a sweetheart! She is perfectly professional, friendly and gentle. The tech, Kylie, did my cleaning quickly and with a gentle hand. As a pregnant patient, my babys safety was a number one concern to all staff there (especially Phoebe the x-ray tech). The only downside for me, is that I didnt start going there sooner! I highly recommend this dental office and staff. This office shatters the typical negative stigma thats typically associated with going to the dentist. Truly, I joked with the staff that I felt like I was at the spa (seriously though, they even give you Lavender scented warm towels to wipe your face once theyre done).

They are the best! I had not been in many years and they were so non judgemental and they made everything really clear and easy. No lectures, no scolding, just eager to help me get back on track. My deep cleaning was split into two days where my mouth was numbed prior to cleaning under the gumline, but because I couldnt feel anything, the deep cleaning went by really quickly. I was in and out in under an hour both days including wait time in the lobby. For not having been to the dentist in five years, my out of pocket cost did not ruin my biweekly budget at all! I couldnt be happier with my new dentist and anyone who has had a painful, overly expensive or rude experience somewhere else should try it here! Oh, and they got me in really quickly too! Im usually a hard to please customer but Im very happy with Middletown Commons Family Dental!

I have never had a good dentist experience so dental health was at the bottom of my list of priorities. I just moved the Kentucky and have been dealing with relentless TMJ pain so I figured I had to find a dentist and stop avoiding it. I am soooo glad I came across Middletown Commons and Dr. Ward! EVERY SINGLE staff member I came across was kind and helpful and very informative. Before any decisions were made, the office manager sat down with me and reviewed all the costs so I had no outrageous surprises at the end (it was very affordable, too!) and I knew exactly what was going on throughout each step of the procedure. I have to go back next week to do a few things and I will definitely not be dreading it and losing any sleep over it. I would definitely suggest Middletown Commons to anyone looking for a good, honest dentist!!!!!!

It had been about 18 years since I had been to a dentist for a regular cleaning. I had always been pretty good with brushing and started flossing within the last week. During one of my flossing sessions my bonded retainer came off. I noticed a lot of buildup under where the retainer was so I called on a Friday to make an appointment to get my teeth cleaned and see about getting the cement removed and was seen by the following Tuesday. The staff was very courteous from the minute I walked in the door until I left and they were non-judge mental about the length of time since my last visit. The entire process wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. I definitely will not put off going again for my next cleaning.

Dr. Ward and her staff went above and beyond to help me recently when I was in need of a root canal and couldnt get in for several days with the specialist. Dr. Ward got me in at 7:30 a.m. the next morning and was so gentle and thorough. Her office is new and cheerful, her staff was kind and fun, and the rooms had tvs on the ceilings so you could be distracted from the dental work. Attention to every detail made this a great experience from start to finish. I appreciate that her office still bills insurance first, has flexible payment schedules for more expensive treatments, and I love that her team gives back by doing "Free cleaning" days on their anniversary for those who dont have insurance!

I had never been to this office before. My dentist was not a family dentist, and I really wanted to go where I could also take my children. I liked how kid friendly the staff was and the office especially. The iPads in the lobby kept my 3 year old entertained and at ease. She was nervous at first, but the office staff was so friendly, she got comfortable very quick. They had a TV for her to watch while they were examining her teeth. She enjoyed watching Sprout. They have all new technology, which I think made my experience quick and painless. I am very happy that I did the switch to Middletown Commons Family Dental. I look forward to bringing my family here for years to come!
