Well my visit went terrible! The first thing that I noticed was how rude and unprofessional the staff and dental assistance were. Its not kid friendly whatsoever, this is no place for young anxious kids. Well we went for a check up and they said my daughter needed a crown and a filling. During xrays the dental assistant was rude and showed frustration towards my daughter because my "5 YEAR OLD" acted like any normal kid would. We get to the room to have my daughters procedure done I was told my the assistant that laughing gas would be used. Instead they come in with the stray jacket thing. I was not comfortable with them using that but if it would make the procedure go by quickly and make their job easier I went ahead with it. Dr. Hamdan is great. He made my daughter feel comfortable. He explained what he was going to do with her and showed her the tools then came the strap down with the stray jacket of course my daughter cried and pleaded for help. He numbed her up and said give it a few minutes for the meds to kick it. So therefore, my baby strapped up crying screaming to the top of of lungs, the dental assistant act like she didnt have a care in the world as she sitting by my daughter shes looking on her phone, playing with her nails, looking at my daughter like she was crazy and I notice 30 minutes passed and my baby was still strapped down screaming to the top of her lungs. Im sorry but I had to go get Dr. Hamdan because that was hard watching her like that but I dont think it takes 30 minutes for her mouth to numb up. After everything was done I had to ask questions the assistant didnt give me no after care instructions verbally but she gave me a paper only because I asked with instructions. My daughter was still in a lot of pain at home where I had to call the 24 hour line Dr. Hamden did return my call and placed her prescription for pain meds in a promptly manner. She even broke out in hives at home smh...just a terrible experience overall. Seems like a lot of things over there declined because customer service is not their strength along with those horrible assistants! I will not return to Kool Smiles at all and dont recommend them!

Went in to treat a cracked molar with deep metal filling because of nerve pain associated with cracked tooth. Dr. Akharume came into the treatment room and looked in my mouth. She said the tooth needed to be extracted and asked for my permission. I granted permission. No after care information was provided, but when I got home and removed the bloody gauze to replace with clean, I realized she removed the wrong tooth. She removed a molar that served as a base for a crown that I lost several months ago. Now I cannot get that crown replaced and I left with no treatment for the ailing tooth. When I called the clinic to inform them of this big screw-up, Dr. Akharume lied and said she showed me x-rays. She didnt even look at x-rays. Truth is that my x-ray had not been developed. When I was waiting for the dental assistant to prepare for an extraction another dental assistant called the girl to come get the x-ray slide that was left in the machine. So the doctor never looked at any x-rays prior to pulling my tooth - what a quack. The clinic did not apologize and blamed the misunderstanding on me. They requested that I come back in to get the correct tooth pulled - of course for another fee. I told them I dont know if my tooth needs extraction because the tooth extracted didnt and yet it was pulled. I have another dentist schedule and will discuss with him the event. After all, Dr. Akharumes performance is a reflection on all dentists through the licensing board. I would not recommend anyone use this clinic or Dr. Akharume for any care. The replacement for the erroneous tooth she pulled will cost me over two thousand dollars. Patients beware!

I will NEVER bring any of my kids to this place again. Ive had a few bad appointments but this one iced the cake. I scheduled my 1 year olds appt 3 weeks in advance. I was excited to take her. The appt was at 9:40 am I made it after her nap and before lunch so she would be in a good mood and we would be out WAY before lunch (os so I thought) . I arrived at 9:35 am filled out the paper work..sat down and waited amongst the heard of out of control children that were their. 1 hr later at 10:40am I asked the front desk if they knew how much longer it would be it was 10:40 and my daughter was getting fussy and didnt know how if she would be in a good mood or not when the dds would see her. About 10 mins later we were called back. Its about 11am. We didnt get seen until 11:45am. All the dds did was look at her 2 bottom teeth, told me she would have a full mouth by 20 months and LEFT. Literally, took him under 5 mins to do all that and we waited 2 HOURS! RIDICULOUS! After that I had to wait another 20 mins so that the assistant could type up whatever and walk us out. NO ONE APOLOGIZED for the wait. NOTHING! I asked for all my kids records and told them I would NEVER be coming back. This place is a JOKE they do not care about you as a patient or as a person. This experience was HORRIBLE. Not to mention they have a sign in the office for patients to call and comment about their experience. I will be calling and making a complaint. The only reason this place gets a star is because of the lady who checked me out and gave the info to her kids dentist because even she said that she would NEVER bring her daughter there!

AGGRAVATED AND INCONVENIENCED!!! No lines of communication between the staff or within the office to ensure customer satisfaction or patient services are rendered properly. My son has braces and I was told by the Orthodontist he needed a filling. I scheduled the appointment to bring him at the front desk. I made arrangements to have someone bring him because I would be at work. They were told when they arrived for my sons appointment he didnt need to be seen because he was up to date on everything and they werent showing an appointment in the system. PROBLEM #1. I called (from work) and advised them of my sons appointment and what he needed done. They apologized, stating the call center didnt update his chart. PROBLEM #2(no accountability, putting the blame on someone else when the call center DID NOT make my appointment, the people in the office walked me to the front desk to make an appointment). I then had to get the person to bring my son back to the dentist to be seen for the appointment he initially had to begin with. The dentist then informs us he would need a referral to someone else to have a root canal done but my son had already had a root canal done back in August. PROBLEM #3 ( no communication within the office regarding patients care plan) I should not have to communicate back and forth between the dentist and orthodontist there in the same office about what needs to be done. The dentist is telling me one thing and the orthodontist is telling me a different thing. The entire office seems INCOMPETENT AND CLUELESS!!!
