Short version: Dr. Alden Chadbourne, shes wonderful. Great service. Friendly people. Not too pricy. Strongly recommend. One draw back is parking can be a pain sometimes, but worth the hassle. I was given a golden retriever (Brody) about 6/7 years ago (great breed, amazing dog, strongly recommend). Shortly after I moved to Scarborough I was told to check out Brackett Street as Scarborough Animal Hospital had a reputation of being a bit pricy. Brody had been in good health, no issues so we put off seeing a vet for a while (we did the vaccination clinics at PetCo instead). About three years ago we missed a clinic date and Brody needed his kennel cough vaccination before we could board him so we called Bracket who saw him three days later. No judgment that I hadnt been bringing him regularly and no push for expensive tests. It was a good experience. Last month we went back (only our second visit) to see about Brodys bad breath. Dr. Chadbourne recommended a teeth cleaning, but thought we should try some cheaper options first. Nothing seemed to help but hes there now getting his teeth cleaned. I felt very comfortable dropping him off there. The Dr. called mid surgery to tell me what she had found and ask how I wanted to proceed. Very satisfied.

Lets see; four dogs, two cats...and a lot of issues. We see Dr. Catherine Sanders regularly for check-ups, emergency visits, dentals, everything. Her broad knowledge base, her uncanny ability to sense when something isnt right and her no-nonsense approach to diagnosing, treatment and follow up is fantastic. If MY doctor were so good! Despite being in the city, there is always parking, minimal waiting and a great spectrum of on-site services. Having the clinic open Saturdays is a total plus, too. If youre new to town or thinking about switching because youre fnally ready to have really great vet experience, call Brackett Street and ask for Dr. Sanders!

We needed to find a new vet, and heard wonderful things about the Bracket Street Clinic by talking to friends and by reading these reviews. I must chime in with agreement. They are wonderful! My husband and I brought our rather nervous tabby to them and they treated her (and us) so well. They are very caring and do a thorough exam. They are also very upfront about billing, so you wont get any surprises when you go to pay. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to find a high quality vet!

I have been bringing my pets here for years, from my former stray cat Lord Byron (who lived to be over 22 years old!) to my current rescue dog Gypsy and my two current cats. The staff are always very friendly, accommodating, caring and patient; the vets are wonderful; and the location is very convenient for me. They are true friends to me and my animals and I am very grateful to them for their services in supporting me and my pet family throughout the years. I would highly highly recommend them.

All of our pets have received all of their care at Brackett Street Vets, going back 12 years now. BSV vets have been consistently professional, compassionate, attentive and responsive. Dr. Savage is always available to us if we have concerns or questions. The staff is top notch too. On the two occasions when dogs of ours reached the ends of their lives, BSV handled their comfort -- and our emotions -- with great sensitivity and guidance. So happy that we have BSV here in town.

Everyone who works here is very nice and professional. The building is clean, the staff is super friendly, and it is very affordable compared to other vets in the area. The technicians and vet listened to what I had to say and handled my dog very kindly and carefully. I would recommend this vet to any pet owner in the West End. A fantastic veterinary office. Phone calls are answered with warmth and prompt assistance. Dr. Alden is thorough in her explanation of diagnoses, is extremely personal with pets and their owners, makes follow-up phone calls for pets having a difficult time, and has fantastic interpersonal skills. We lost our 12 year-old pug recently, and will be sure to return to Brackett Street Vet with our new pup.

Everyone at Brackett Street Vet treats our pets like family. We never feel rushed at our appointments with Dr. Savage and she always follows up on our questions/concerns. Recently were were faced with a 3rd surgery for our 9.5 year old lab and she provided several options and supported course of treatment we chose. The ladies at reception were very polite and helpful. They found a way to get my dog in as soon as possible. Dr. Gurbacki was extremely knowledgeable and accommodated to my dogs special needs. Very helpful and understanding staff. Once had a complication with scheduling due to an in office mistake but it was taken care of quickly and I was still able to make the appointment. Took my cat here multiple times and she was very well taken care of. A great clinic if you live in town!
