While I have had some great experiences here, my last visit has ruined this office for me. The vet we saw was an older woman who was, to put it nicely, rude as all get out. Not only did she talk to me like I was an idiot but was not good with my dog. We will start with my dog. She is usually pretty good at the vets office. She lets lets the vet check here mouth and take her temp with out a whisper. But not with this lady. My dog tried to hide from her and wouldnt get near her at all. I tried to help hold my dog still for the exam, but She kept trying to get away from the vet. Again this is unusual for my dog. The vet was not kind or understanding about this. She seemed cold and like she hated my dog. Then we get to how I was treated. My dog had severe skin allergies and we end up at the vets office about 4 to 6 times a year to treat the reactions. The whole point of my visit on this day was to get a refill of her medicated shampoo. The vet accused me of not trying to care for her allergies. She asked if I did anything to prevent the allergies. To which I told her I use the advantage and frontline that prescribed by another vet at this office and that I also treat my two indoor cats just in case as well. She then told me that I would kill my cats if I used advantage or frontline on them. She then said that I should not apply it myself because Ill probably mix up the dog and cat treatments and kill all my animals. At this point I decided to leave. She gave me the prescription I needed for my dog and I left the room and went to get the shampoo in the lobby. She takes in the next client. To my amazement she leaves the next patient to come back out to the lobby to tell me once more, now in front of everyone there, that I will kill my pets if I give them the flea and tick treatments myself and that I should schedule an appointment to have it applied for me there. Mind you, never have I ever given the wrong medication to an animal. I have been working in the pet care industry for over 15 years and am fully capable of reading a package and its instructions. I always bring my pets to vet for not only check ups but for anything they may need. I never try to treat any condition on my own. This office has records of the care my pets have gotten and how frequent they have come there. There is nothing that can fully prevent my dogs allergies and I take every step I can to keep them from occurring. For this vet to make these accusations is ridiculous and uncalled for. Not only did she try to humiliate me but more importantly she made my dog uncomfortable. For that I would never return here. Be wary about the vets to chose to treat your beloved pet. I should have listened to my dog and left as soon as she was uncomfortable. I made the bad choice to say and be belittled by a rude and hateful woman here. Dont make the same mistake I made.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about VACC. Although I was not aware of minimally invasive spay surgeries for pets, the idea of abdominal distress, large incision scars and post surgical pain my pet might have to endure in a traditional spay was making me very uneasy. I live in NJ/NY found VACC while looking for best rated veterinary facilities that were AAHA accredited. It was top ranked :) Little did I know that this journey would lead me to stumble upon laproscopic spays and one of the best vet experiences ever. No words can do justice to the gratitude I feel towards Dr. Tom Burns and his staff for providing us exceptionally good quality care. I had many technical questions and right from the first conversation, Dr. Burns took out time to provide medical and scientific data when discussing questions. Despite being a busy practice, we felt all our doubts were answered with careful consideration, and we were treated with compassion and patience by the entire staff. At every step of the way, VACC won our hearts be it diligent follow up by the front desk or outstanding pre and post surgical care by the veterinary technicians. Dr. Burns is most certainly a unique physician- he not only has a vast knowledge of pet health and takes time to orient you to that knowledge, he is a highly skilled surgeon and possesses a keen discerning your pet relationship. He made us feel right at home and overwhelmed us with his kindness. For the first time, we felt our love for our pet was matched by the care she received at VACC. As a pet mom, I did not ever feel alone during the process. As a person in healthcare, I was wowed by the consistency of quality. I am sure greater things lie ahead for them. Thank you guys!

I had a very poor, very expensive visit. Vet was rude, condescending and belittling. Would not let me finish a sentence or explain what was wrong with my dog. I told her dog was very congested and kept me up all night. Without even greeting dog she angrily grabbed his mouth and looked at teeth. Left, brought teeth chart and insisted I have his teeth done.vet said "Last dog I had with teeth this bad lost most of them when I cleaned them", I thought " Its no wonder youre so rough"! Vet told me that listening to chest with stethoscope could determine congestion, but ONLY xray could determine congestive heart failure which would lead to death if not treated. She then offered me several packages including xray and blood work that would cost more but save me 100 in long run... She also told me I had to buy expensive eye ointment and "he needs it twice a day for rest of his life...would you like me to write script so you can get it somewhere else"? After xray and they were done and I was forced to listen to another sales pitch about teeth. I was told he has enlarged heart, no biggie. NOTHING ABOUT HIS MUCOUSY sound and cough that kept me up all night. Waited 40 more minutes and had to finally demand my dog they were keeping because he wet himself and chewed a raw spot on back and wanted to clean him up. NO one told me but the girls at the desk were pretty bothered by my "loitering" around desk so they inquired for me. Still no answer EXCEPT I was to wait! I then demanded my dog and said they could get dog or I would! NO DIAGNOSES OR HELP! Now he is worse cant eat or drink and I Gave YOU all my money! I want my money back to see another vet. Or YOU pay for the visit to a better, nicer, smarter professional acting Vet.

Excellent visit as always! We love Dr. Burns and everyone at Cape Cod Veterinary Associates. This was an emergency visit -- Buddy was exhibiting some symptoms that caused me concern -- so we went straight to CC Vets in hopes Dr. Burns would be available. Sure enough he was -- or at least he made himself available. He examined Buddy, made a likely diagnosis, made a few recommendations and left us feeling relieved. He even took the time to talk about a couple of other unrelated issues with me. Buddy was fine later that day. Dr. Burns gets to know his patients -- he does not need to be reminded who Buddy is and what his behaviors are and what his health is like. So he is able to immediately see if Buddy is acting himself or differently. He also knows how to handle him because he knows how Buddy reacts to everything. He is very knowledgeable so we have total trust in him and he also has a great personality and is very positive. We are very lucky that he is our vet. VACC is a top-notch well-run practice, everyone there is outstanding and I highly recommend them.
