I cant even begin to cover all the WONDERFUL and positive things that make Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital, the best Ive ever been too (Ive been bringing my pets there for the past 23 years). Their staff goes above and beyond, just caring for your pets medical needs, they actually love them, like you do! The entire staff is fantastic! My husband and I have talked about moving out of state, for several years, but the only thing that has kept us here, is we dont want to bring our beloved dogs, to anyone else. We found loving care, that is this exceptional, and as long as we have dogs, we will never give up Dr. O, Dr. Shively and the top notch staff, at KVH.

My sons cat had to be boarded for 10 days because we were moving. He is a very sensitive cat and gets upset around other people. Pablo was kept in a large cage in a room with one other cat. They kept his cage covered on top and the sides so he wouldnt be bothered. The woman who took care of him often kept him in her office with soft lighting and music. She also sprinkled his food with a calming agent. We visited him daily. I could not have asked for better care or concern for our Pablo. He was happy to come home but none the worse for wear. Many thanks to the staff at Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital.

I cant say enough praise for Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital! The receptionists, vet techs and veterinarians are compassionate, knowledgeable, and have a gentle personal touch. Dr. Shively, in my opinion, is the best Veterinarian Ive had for my great dane and 3 greyhounds. Dogs know right away if people really care about their fear and pain. Theyve come to this place that they associate with shots and pain. Its important that the people meeting with our animals really care about each individual animal and have the experience to be able to take care of problems, and these guys do!!

My kids say I take more care choosing my dog groomer than I did finding their preschools. So you can imagine how careful I am about my vet. Ive had Dr. Porell as my vet for about four years. Shes so smart. And up to date. Shes to the point and I know her opinion is based on the best science. And she was wonderful when we were dealing with end of life care for my Holly. And shes taken great care of my other dog and cat! It is so nice to have someone you really trust when things get scary. And shes taught me a lot about how to help keep them healthier longer. I just love her.

We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to take our pets to the Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital. We have been clients for many many years. The staff from the office personnel to the technicians to the drs. is simply outstanding. We have been so fortunate to know Dr. O and the care he has provided to my dogs over the years is simply outstanding. The other drs. as well are superb and most of all they all so kind to the animals. We indeed, are very fortunate to be able to have them take care of our dogs. Simply put "they are the best".

Ive been bringing my pets to KVH since the 1980s and have always been very happy with the services provided by and the compassion and tenderness shown to each animal. Not only does Dr. O provide great care for the lives of my animals, but I trust him with my quality of life questions when faced with end of life (or near end) issues. There are vets located much closer to where I live now (1/4 mile away), but we still bring our girls 10 miles to see Dr. O., and will continue to do so!

My black, lab Cady has been in good capable hands for over ten years at Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Margaret Shively has responded with understanding and expertise whenever I have had a concern about Cadys health. Whether it has been the initial telephone call or the vet technician cutting toe nails or giving a shot, all the Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital staff have been thoughtful, knowledgable and kind. I greatly admire Dr. Margaret Shively.

Dr. Shibley and her team stand out as the best. We have many vets in the area-one even lives close by, but we choose Kennebunk Veterinary hospital. Any practice can administer medicines, etc. but after having to put down two of our suffering dogs I have seen Dr. Shibley as a compassionate animal lover. She made a very difficult situation easier to bear and stayed with us through it all. This vet is the complete package-care with compassion.

They are outstanding ... I have used them for years with my cats and dogs. I go to Dr. Shively. She is very thorough, and will consult experts when needed. She loves her work and spends vacation time taking a veterinary boat out to see pets who cant get to an office. She is very compassionate, thorough, and has a great sense of humor! I wouldnt go to anyone else.

We have been bringing "our kids" to Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital for over five years. The doctors and techs are very knowledgeable and the staff friendly and compassionate. Our pets have received excellent routine care, and several of our pets have had surgery there. This is an excellent full service pet hospital. I highly recommend it.

The staff is very caring and professional-we bring our cat and 2 dogs there and have had wonderful experiences. Dr. Shively is very compassionate with the animals. We had to have one of our kitties euthanized last winter and we were treated wonderfully. I would recommend them to anyone.
