I visited this office in 2013 for a routine dental exam and was advised that I would need several procedures to get my oral health "up to par". I was offered a Care Credit card for which I applied and was approved. However, by the time of the next appointment, I was in the process of purchasing my first home and had been advised that it would be best to not accrue any new credit card debt. I arrived at the office for my appointment and stated that I would not be using the credit card (for the aforementioned reason) but that I planned to use my Flex Spending funds. The receptionist was unsure if there would be an issue with using Flex Spending for the appointment because I did not have a physical card - my account did not offer a debit card but rather a reimbursement for any expenses. Rather than attempt to determine what my options were, the receptionist continued to advise that she was unfamiliar with the reimbursement-only accounts. When I decided that I would need to break the appointment since I could not pay, she replied that I would have to pay a missed appointment fee of $100. After such nasty service, I left the office without hesitation. Flash forward to 2015, I was finally sent the bill of $125 dollars for the missed appointment. Flash forward again to 2016, I was sent an updated bill for $399 with new charges added from dates in 2014 (which I certainly did not incur). When I tried to contact an Office Manager to discuss the situation, I was politely told that there is no office manager and no one at the office who can speak to me about it. I dont mind paying legitimate debts but this was the result of incompetence and a failure to provide basic customer service. The situation was handled poorly from beginning to end and I will definitely be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Form front desk to Hygienist to the dentist and other staff, they are always on their game and provide the best care possible, They not only care for you as a dental patient but care for you as a person and care about and share in family moments/events as well )showed of picture of our new granddaughter). It is always a great and pleasurable experience when I/we visit the dentist office in Accokeek, MD.
