This was my dentist for over a year. Then I took time off from work for an appointment and the front desk said I didnt have an appointment. I thought I had scheduled it wrong so I scheduled a new appointment the next month. Same thing: I didnt have an appointment but they would squeeze me in. I waited for a half hour before they finally told me--loudly so the whole waiting room heard--that they no longer accept my insurance because its terrible insurance. Humiliated, I was simply sent on my way. They couldnt extend to me the courtesy of a call--they just deleted my appointment. Twice. I wasted annual leave. And by the time I got a new dentist my half-yearly appointment was in August so I cant get my second half-yearly since less than 6 months remain in the year. So I paid 6 months of insurance premiums for nothing. Can I get my time, money, dignity back from DC Light Family Dental?

YES! Dr. Lee is in DC now! Ive been seeing Dr. Lee for a few years since my last dentist retired. After moving to DC in 2007, I still made the trip all the way down to Woodbridge, VA to see him. A couple weeks ago I got a call because I was due for a checkup and found out all I had to do is take the bus down 14th Street to his new location! I love going to Dr. Lee because hes always friendly, makes sure youre comfortable during the procedures, keeps a very clean office, has the latest technology (even TVs at each chair), and has done great work on my fillings, root canals, and some cosmetic stuff. Ive only been to the new DC office a few times, but the staff seemed pretty nice. Ive also had a cleaning with one of the hygienists, Tanera Hutz, and she was also very good.

I made my appointment and they did follow up on me day before to confirm. They didnt follow up on me when I made a second appointment for surgery nor did they quote me on the price of surgery (It was partially my fault since I forgot to ask), but the second time I went there I felt like they didnt follow through with everything I was told would happen the first time I sent to get a consultation. I dont know if I will go back, its the first place I tried due to a recommendation by a friend since I moved here a year ago.

I have had a very positive experience with Dr. Lee. He is an outstanding doctor who is straightforward and tries to avoid unneeded procedures/charges while creatively fixing what can be fixed easy way. So far, his fixes work well for me. This is quite a rare feature these days, in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and all billing issues that came up were solved efficiently. Cleaning assistant, Takae, is highly skilled and has a very light hand. Overall, Im very happy with Light Dental.

I have been using Light Dental for several years. I find Dr. Lee and the Dental Techs/Hygienists to be outstanding. In particular, Dr. Lee is impeccable in his attention to detail. I had 2 crowns made & they fit perfectly the first time. He is thorough and virtually all procedures are painless. The hygienist is also focused on my dental "well-being", providing thorough cleaning as well as instruction/guidance at every visit. I definitely endorse this practice.

Ive been going to DC Light Dental for a year now and Ive been very impressed with Dr. Lee and my dental hygienist! Theyre so friendly and thorough, Dr. Lee would never push for unnecessary treatment or surgeries. My dental hygienist taught me how to floss effectively and correctly! I never feel rushed and I can always ask them questions. The front desk staff are friendly as well. I would recommend to all my friends and family!

I have been using Dr Lee at Light Dental for many years. The Dental Techs are marvelous, working hard to keep my teeth and gums healthy and Dr Lee is among the best Ive ever used. . His work is impeccable. Crown fittings work the first time theyre installed. Amazing compared to others Ive used in the past. His work to locate & repair cavities is thorough and virtually painless. I will continue to use Light Dental.

Went to check on a tooth that was bothering me. X ray tech took the same x rays a few times because she messed up, and then when i left the dentist put down to "just call it a comprehensive exam" to the lady at the desk when all she did was look at one tooth. Now I have already had my yearly exam on my insurance, but didnt actually get everything done. Thanks a lot.

Go to DC Light! They have hours that seem to work with professionals schedules. They are metro accessible. The staff was friendly and the wait time was not very long. Dr. Lee seems to approach treatment practically without getting into overpriced procedures.
