Ive always had fairly good service at Allcare. The doctors have been very sensitive to my needs and concerns. That wasnt the case recently when I went in. The doctor on staff prescribed an antibiotic, which I am uncomfortable with, due to its often irreversible and sometimes fatal side effects: nerve damage, renal failure, liver failure, fluoride poisoning, and this is just scratching the surface. In fact, people with certain health conditions are warned against taking this medication. I do have a health concern that was listed, so I decided to request another antibiotic. When I called back to ask for another antibiotic that also treats this illness, the doctor refused, stating, "Dont take it if youre scared of the side effects, but were sure it wont work, so we wont prescribe anything else." When I asked what Im supposed to do about my condition, I was told. "Weve already prescribed something, so its not our fault if you wont take it". I thought this was quite insensitive. As a patient, I have a right to determine what goes into my body, and also to have options for the least damaging treatment. To be told that I dont have an option is unfamiliar to me, and quite disappointing. Ive never experienced a doctor who is concerned about the health and wellness of his/her patients refuse to offer an alternative. Ive sent countless friends/coworkers to Allcare over the years, sadly, I can no longer recommend.

I was visiting from Denver and had a serious eye irritation that dragged on for several weeks. I located Allcare from an internet search, and since I do not have health insurance, clipped the $95 visit coupon. When I arrived, there were only a few other patients waiting. The receptionist was very pleasant and after filling out a few forms and paying the $95 in advance, the wait was only a few minutes. My eye problem is related to an old auto accident from years ago, and the problem keeps recurring. After I explained the problem to Dr. Michael Wong, and the fact that it is an ongoing issue, he made the immediate decision that my problem was more serious than he felt comfortable handling at the urgent care center. He instructed the receptionist to fully refund my money and contacted an ophthalmologist close by (Dr Patrick Tong) for an emergency appointment the same day. Dr. Wong was very professional, and the staff was pleasant. The referral eye doctor was also very professional and spent a lot of time with me to evaluate my eyes. He helped me tremendously and gave me advice for a permanent solution to my recurring problem. I visit Columbia frequently and will use Allcare MD again if required.

I went into the office on Oakland Mills Road and saw Dr. Wong on Wednesday. Dont let the sweet girls at the front fool you! The receptionist was beyond nice and the nurse was as well. They got me in quickly, which was wonderful. But once that poor excuse of a doctor came in, it turned around. First, he wouldnt get off his computer to look at me. I explained to him why i was there and he seemed to be annoyed because i was there, he just wanted me out. Like am i bothering you? Anywho, i was with him for a total of 5 min (no joke!) and he told me to step out and gave me some prescriptions. He didnt even examine me, how could he possibly treat me?! I will never go back there again, unless another dr. is there because he seriously is a JOKE! The management needs to re-evalue why they have him there as a physican

I am terribly disappointed in the service I received from the doctor during my visit on 6/1/17. He was unpleasant, rushed, and seemed quite unconcerned about my condition. Given the information I shared with him (that I heard a loud pop in my right knee followed by pain and inability to bear weight on my right leg), he sent me home and told me to take ibuprofen as needed. It turns out I have a torn ACL and meniscus. Thankfully for me, I follow my instincts and do not rely solely on the "advice" of a physician with poor bedside manner. Needless to say, I will not use this urgent care facility again nor will I recommend it to anyone else. Hopefully my experience is noted for a time when patient care and customer service practices are reviewed.

i have been to the ellicott city location several times and i have recently visited this location - they are different buildings with different staff, but some of the doctors work at both offices and it is possible to get the same doctor (you can call in and ask if they are available) the staff is friendly and the prices are good their service is fast and they accept my insurance if you need something like a sports physical or you have a deep finger cut or something that does not require an ER visit, i highly recommend going here or to their other location instead of visiting your normal family practice doctor, no appointments, very little waiting, good prices, hard to beat service :-)

Dr. Wang came up as a bad prescriber when I tried to get the medication for a urinary tract infection. He wanted to give me medication before I was even diagnosed with anything. I went to Patient First the next day and found out later I have no urinary tract infection and it takes at least 24 hrs to test for it but Dr. Wang told me within minutes. He wanted me to keep coming there and only to him but I think hes crooked. I saw all the good reviews but I dont think they deserve five stars so Im taking it down.

My family and I have been patients of AllCare for years. Dr. Kim has consistently been professional, efficient and friendly, and I highly recommend this practice. Many of my friends are also patients and they love the convenience and amenities of the Ellicott City location in particular. I recently tried the Zerona Laser and was pleased with the results; it was also a relaxing process with music and snacks available. Easy and painless way to lose inches!

super friendly staff, super accommodating!!! never had a doctors visit as pleasant as this experience. there were a couple of people ahead of me but dont let that stop you! the providers are fast and efficient, and youll get seen in no time! at other places I waited THREE hours to be seen for a minor problem, and their PA only stuck around for 2-3 minutes. definitely a hidden gem ;), glad I found them!

I burnt my hand yesterday and went to the Howard County Hospital to have it treated. I waited two hours, they didnt have many sick people there, just a lot of people. I had the feeling I would be waiting a couple more hours. I went to All Care MD in Columbia. I was in front of Dr. Wong with in 25 minutes and he did a fine job taking care of me. I will use them again in the future.

Dr. Michael Wang is the best Doctor I have ever had; he is very patience and responsibility. I visit him every 3 month for my physical check up. One time I had a severe stomachache，I try pepto bismo and pain relieve machine, it didn’t work , and he wrote me a prescription, I took it and the pain was gone in 4 hrs. I will highly recommend him to everyone who needs care.

All Care has been our life saver several times. They have great hours and a friendly staff. We have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen, and they accept our insurance too. They can do everything on the spot. Weve had quick strep tests to xrays. Even a complete physical with blood tests and all. Always a good experience!
