In the beginning this seems like a wonder experience and a great place to be! I scheduled an appointment for the first time things were great I was told they were going to get to the bottom of my skin condition! I never saw Dr. Kates I saw the Nurse practioner who kept trying to treat me for one thing and kept telling me how I feel in which he was in correct I would later find out! My second visit I forgot my debit card at home and they told me that they couldnt see me because I couldnt pay my copay but my skin was acting up terribly I leave in tears because I felt physically bad because I itched! I rescheduled came back a third time and they told me I had to pay a co payment of about $90 because I was a no show for my appointment the second time but they were going to be generous and waive it just this time! I went through with the appointment and go a doctors note so that I could give it to my job because I have to leave work early because Dr. Kates office hours arent condusive to my work hours. So EVERYTIME I have to make an appointment with their office I have to leave work early! He also gave me an injection and told me that it would clear my sinuses up in which I didnt he went along to explain to me about how I would probably get hooked on this but he is only going to give it to me once. My fourth and FINAL time was a follow up appointment the little nurse. It walks in and says well why are you here.... so I replied well you told me to follow up and nothing as really changed and he proceeded to tell me well keep hydrating your skin as I asked u too and also look on the national ezema website and that should help! Soooo I asked for a doctors note so that I could return back to work. He proceeded say wow you need another one? I gave you one EVERYTIME you have been here and that this the very last that he is going to give me a doctors note because he is writing way to many and that if my job called hed have to lie and say that I wasnt there for an appointment and that he will not ever write me a doctors note again and if I have a skin flare up thats the only way he will do it. He then proceeded to lecture me as if I were lying saying a I needed a doctors note! What shocks me is that every other doctors that I have been to always gives me a doctors note to verify to my job the next day that I went to the doctors! And lastly the Nurse boy gave me the wrong diagnoses I went and got a second opinion and I am now feeling 100% better!!! I would not recommend this office to anybody they are about taking money and giving wrong diagnoses and being rude! Never in all my years had I felt so disrespected and talked to like I was a 3 year old taking advantage of the system. Dr. Kates you will never be able to get any of my money or services again!!!

Ive probably had 10 appointments with Dr. Kates so far, for a variety of medical and/or cosmetic reasons. I trust her judgment/diagnosis 100%. She treated my medical issues with utmost professional care. There is hardly any wait to be seen at the appointment time, and she is extremely gentle and has my comfort in mind. No one in her office has ever "pushed" a product or procedure; in fact, I had to initiate the conversation about additional treatment. I am so happy with her as my dermatologist that I referred my husband to her as well. We will both be patients of Dr. Kates as long as we live in the area.

I went to another dermatologist for over a year without any improvement for my psoriasis. I decided to try another practice and found Dr. Kates. Within 2 visits, I had a big improvement and for the first time since this issue began I have relief. While I have not had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Kates, I have seen her PA Rick Brown and he is absolutely delightful. He made me feel so comfortable and that he was actually interested in how my psoriasis began and the trouble I have had. He is just wonderful, kind and caring, as is the whole staff. I highly recommend Dr. Kates and her associates.

Rick performed an upper body exam on me and found several small actinic keratosis on my head and growths on my face and my back. He sprayed liquid nitrogen on the actinic keratosis. He cut off the growths and sent them to be tested for cancer (they came out negative). His Assistant put antibiotic ointment and Band-Aids on the two wounds. Since I saw Rick, the actinic keratosis and the wounds have completely healed. Overall, I was very pleased with Rick, his Assistant, and Dr. Kates and staff.

I had to have a procedure done on my eyelid. I know, pretty scary place to have work done. There arent enough great words I can say to about the entire staff of Dr Kates office. Rick Brown PA did the actual procedure and was so thorough in letting me know exactly how things would happen. Results are great! Staff is kind and wonderful! Go here, that is my review, Go here.

Great experience - great care. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Brown and assisting nurse were top notch in their manner. My seventeen-year old was pleased too and that is monumental! Nothing but gratitude to the Kates Dermatological staff. ...even a follow-up call to check in - great vibe for first experience.

Highly recommended! Very short wait, efficient staff... The PA was very personable, knowledgeable, and thorough in his explanations. He spent a good amount of time with me and was eager to show me the regime for my eczema. I felt like he really cared. My eczema cleared up in 2 days, 1 day faster thanbhe predicted!

She treats your problem areas, but in the most expensive way possible. She also is very reluctant to give you RX refills unless you come in (another way for her to make $). She did a great job removing my husbands mole, but Im looking for someone else b/c I think she exaggerates her procedures and costs.

Caring staff! I stressed over a small cist on my eyebrow but Dr. Kates not only alleviated the stress from procedure but she explained every step and did not have to do the entire procedure as planned. She made it simple and painless. Very happy with the professionalism and courtesy shown at each visit.

I had a great experience all around. Rick Brown ensured that all of my questions were answered. He was attentive, knowledgeable and eager and willing to answer all of my questions. The receptionist was super nice as well. Ill definitely be returning to this practice for any of my dermatological needs.

The examination of my skin was handled very professionally and with sensitivity to the pain due to treatment with liquid nitrogen. The technician carefully explained what he was seeing and how it would be treated if treatment was needed. The initial apprehension proved to be unfounded.

Dr. Brown was very thorough and kind. He wasnt able to help me with my particular issue, but not through any fault of his. Im definitely going back for a mole review and a general skin checkup. I felt very comfortable with him, in good hands.
