I have NEVER had a better, more thorough eye exam than that given me by Dr. Teles. I met him over the internet. Even though I was not his patient at the time, I had a very painful eye condition on a Sunday. I went online trying to get some assistance, found Looking Glass Optical and sent him an email. He graciously responded, asked some questions then gave me advice to hold me over until I could get into the office to see him on Monday. I have referred friends who also found his service exceedingly thorough and supportive. One of my friends whod had several eye surgeries seemed to be losing sight in one of eyes. I took her to see Dr. Teles and he was able to assure her if she took her medicines properly, it would correct the problem she was experiencing. She had inadvertently stopped taking one of the follow up medications prescribed for her after surgery. Dr.Teles also let her see what her vision would be with continued treatment and proper glasses after the treatment ended. It restored her hope about her sight. I am very grateful to have him as a care provider!

What a wonderful experience I had at Looking Glass Optical! The staff is very friendly and Dr. Teles is a "teaching" doctor. He always made sure that I understood what type of tests we were doing and why. It was important to him that I understood what was going on with my vision. I made my appointment on ZocDoc and I called the office to confirm. I love that I am able to choose my appointments online. Talk about easy! When I called to confirm the receptionist offered to give me directions and even told me that I could print my new patient paperwork online to expedite my appointment. Chrissy was amazing. She took me back to do some tests on my vision. We had a great time talking about the community and the need for affordable eye care for low income families. Overall my experience with Looking Glass Optical was great and I am looking forward to going back in next week to choose my frames.

Simply the best. My wife and I are sailing around the world, yet I just threw an extra 360nm of sailing to cut up The Chesapeake Bay to get my eyes recalibrated. It is simply the best 2.5 hours of really cool science, all explained by the most patient, caring, insightful, witty, and compassionate Doctor I have ever met. I have been around the globe and seen a plethora, some decent, many not so much. I once had a "thorough eye exam", and the doctor used no more than his finger!!! The staff is absolutely top shelf, taking as much time as they need to explain every step. When I need my eyes checked the next time, there will be plane tickets to or from BWI. I will be in The Exumas for winter, if the yall want to come on down.

I received an eye exam which included screening with a retinal photo, a new patient comprehensive exam and the determination of my refractive state. All of this was performed at United Optical in Glen Burnie. When the exam was completed I selected my frame and received a price for filling my prescription. I felt the price given for the prescription was much too high.After shopping around, I ended up purchasing "Pentax DiamondClear AR lenses for my frames at Looking Glass Optical at a very substantial savings. Yes, Ill say Im very happy with the quality of the lenses and the no hassle fitting of the lenses to my frame which I had not purchased at his location.

I was referred to DR. Teles by my Ophthalmologist to see if he could better define my prescription for glasses. Dr. Teles , himself, not a technician or other staff member did most of the testing. I was very impressed with his desire to share his findings after my exam and his willingness to educate me as to my particular situation. He is extremely knowledged and provided the most thorough eye exam I have ever had in my 50+ years wearing corrective lenses. We need more Dr. Teles in the world.

Dr.Mayer Teles is one of the BEST!!He is very Professional,but also has a GREAT sense of humor.Talk to him about his travels and pictures and you will have a story to always remember. I have been receiving CRT treatment for four(4)years now and would recommend it to EVERYONE! It allows me the vision I require all day and night but only have to wear the contact while I SLEEP. This is just one of the services he has at his office.Go in to see him TODAY and you will not regret it!!!!!

Dr Teles is a wonderful Dr for all ages! He has a wonderful rapport with my kids! He explains things in a manner that we all understand, without talking down or making us feel our questions are menial. My son saw 2 other eye doctors before Dr Teles correctly diagnosed him with astigmatism! Headaches and double vision finally gone! His staff is also extremely friendly and helpful too! I will continue to recommend him to everyone I know!!

This office has the most experienced optician I have ever been examined by. Extremely thorough. However, even with insurance, youll find his prices are far and above what an average family can afford. I had to cancel my contact order (albeit custom due to astigmatisms) and they offered to put the balance paid towards eyeglasses. I cant afford to return to utilize my credit so the whole experience was just that, an experience learned.

I have been using Dr. Teles since 2008 and he is an awesome Dr. with a great staff. The service provided is amazing every time I use him. He out beats Lens crafters and Wal-Mart by far with his thorough exams. In fact I always feel like Im more educated when I leave his office and I know I can see much better as well as my children will too. I highly recommend everyone to use him for all your eye exams. You wont be disappointed.

I drive out from Edgewater to Pasadena a 40 min. or more drive to work with them. Its a father some team with a great support staff. The father does the exam work and Marc helps you work through the selection process and get fitted for glasses. Bottom line is they are just nice, helpful people that provide a high quality level of service. Ive gone elsewhere and I came back. Wouldnt go anywhere else again

The people here are some of the greatest people Ive found for my eyes health. I came in on a Amazon local deal and they went above and beyond when they found I needed more than just an eye exam. everyone from the front desk to the staff that helps while youre waiting for the Doctor are friendly, helpful, and really knowledgeable about things you may bring up to them.

I was referred to Dr. Teles by my retina doctor and he is a real GEM. He takes time to explain what is wrong with your eyes and answers any questions you or your family members may have.
