I have no idea where to start. Well lets start from the very Beginning.. I am a Combat Veteran of USMC Operation iraqi Freedom and also Endurance Freedom I have A Therapy/service dog. My dog was attacked on her own front porch around 1a.m this morning on 9/09/2016 she had her eye lid almost ripped off by some dog on the next street that came onto my porch.. So i called around to 24 hour vet offices and they wanted basically my Kidney and my car note. I waited until early this a.m and called Dr Zumpano and spoke with his staff.. The nicest and sweetest staff i have ever had the privilege of meeting.. I explained that i am in no way shape or form Rich and didnt have alot of money to get her help.. But she is my therapy/service dog. And she has never let me suffer so i couldnt let her.. Dr. Zumpano worked with me when no one else would.. He listened to me he understood where i was coming from. And how seen how much she means to me. And his actions almost well cant say almost it did make me Tear up a bit. But almost made me cry not out of being hurt. But being relieved that someone out their is understanding and respectful and kind and honest and truly has a heart of GOLD.. The weight of stress was lifted when he and i talked about helping her.. The surgery was done.. and its Amazing Couldnt even tell her eyelid was ripped off at all.. I would definitely recommend this place and his services to ANYONE who loves their animals. Many places will bleed you dry without a smile.. This establishment here will not do that.. Instead they will treat you with the utmost respect and honesty... I give this place 10 stars if i could. So 5 out of 5 will have to do then.. Bravoooooo to the staff the doctors and all envolved... Thank you Dr. Zumpano and staff.. Shuatize and i thank you.. Will definitely be returning thats is a promise

This dog and cat owner to more than 8 has spent tens of thousands (not a typo) between emergency rooms and local vets. Dr. Zumpano (hereforto referred to as "Dr. Z") is so highly educated and skilled that he puts specialty vets to shame. I just lucked out when I got his name from a friend. My beloved Peetie was front declawed ... I am fully ashamed now...... A vet with 30+ years performed it 5 yrs ago,. but did not do the declawing the correct way resulting in regrowth of these nail cells causing absess,.pain,. swelling bleeding. DR. Z is not just a vet. He is a skilled micro surgeon. HIS FACILITY? I would have liposuction there if he offered it. His dental practice is more sophisticated than my own dentist. So back to my beloved Peety. He sedated him and went one-by-one.. like searching for a grain of sand, he removed every spec of nail cell left over by the previous vet!! Peety came home and recooped for a few days and he is A BRAND NEW BOY.. He used to sleep up high on my armoire...Now? He is on my lap.. kneeding me with his new Dr. Z designer toes!! How much do I love this vet? When someone makes your life more secure by taking such exceptional care of the ones you love.. The value is immeasurable. He just cleaned my dog Dingos teeth yesterday,. and he was groomed and deshedded,. I was in tears when I saw him.. The staff literally adopts your pet..... when you see a tech kiss your dog on the mouth? THATS a keeper!! Do not hesitate on this place.

My two dogs have been patients of Dr. Zumpano and Hinman since I moved to Baltimore two years ago, and I have never been anything but impressed with the superb care they receive. Both my dogs have undergone regular checkups, vaccinations, and surgeries by both of the vets, and I have always found the staff and veterinarians to be friendly, compassionate, and helpful. I have never felt like I was being talked down to, which was a problem at my previous vet, when they are explaining the procedures or options for treatment of one of my dogs ailments. Additionally, though Pikesville may not be the cheapest around, I have always appreciated that the vets never try to force me into expensive treatment. They have always explained the options, discussed pros and cons, and have then let me decide on the course of action with their input when I ask for it. As great as the vets are, the support staff is also fantastic! They are always friendly, knowledgeable, and my boys greet each staff person with a tail wag. If you are looking for a groomer, this is also a fantastic place! You may have to schedule a bit ahead, but it is well worth the advanced planning. Highly recommend this vet hospital! Best I have ever been too!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this vet! I had an 8.5 year old boxer that, sadly, passed away back in March from cancer. I did not got to this vet for that dog, and bounced around quite a bit to find one that I felt truly cared about my Zoey. I never really found one. Fast forward to now, and my wife and I have a 5 month old rescue. I decided to give Pikesville a try since Tru Rescue (please check them out!) highly recommended them. I have been beyond impressed in how they talk the talk and walk the walk with compassion and reasonable prices. I drive from Essex because it is worth the drive. Dr G performed Stellas laparoscopic spaying yesterday and called today to check on her. Not to mention that Stella acts as if there was no procedure yesterday. Such a great job! Please give this vet a try. I was very negative toward vets in the past, but this one really changed my mindset.

Pikesville Animal Hospital offers the most reasonably priced laparoscopic procedure I could find when I decided on a preventive gastropexy for my German Shepherd boy along with being neutered. Dr. Zumpano, who performed the procedure is extremely kind, caring and understanding and Dr. Covert was very helpful and answered my emailed questions promptly and thoroughly. The staff all took excellent care of my precious boy. The surgery went well but my boy was a very difficult patient who was hyperactive and incessantly tried to lick his incisions after surgery and ended up needing additional surgery as well as several rechecks. They did not charge me for all the extra work they had to do to ensure a proper recovery. I felt that all the Pikesville Animal Hospital doctors and staff genuinely cared about my pet’s wellbeing, as well as being very courteous and efficient.

We found our baby kitty, Macy Gray, last year in August. She was right off the street and Dr. Zumpano was able to fit us in for an appointment the very next day! He gave us very sound advice on trying to find her owner. A week later when her hair started to fall out he was able to fit us in again for a rush appointment and correctly diagnosed her with having a food allergy, suggesting we switch to fish protein instead of chicken. A few weeks later her hair grew back as good as new. Needless to say, no one was looking for her, so we adopted her and love her very much! Dr. Zumpano was VERY good about listening to my theories and research that I had done, and working off of my thoughts or dispelling myths. Also, the office is beautiful. Shaw-Jelveh did a fantastic job with their interior, especially the faux-fur printed wallpaper!
