Four Legs Animal Hospital is an AWSOME facility! I have brought my animals to them since they first opened and I have watched them grow and flourish since then. The waiting room and exam rooms are absolutely spotless. The staff is so incredibly friendly and experienced, they are always willing to help or answer questions you may have. The doctors are very knowledgeable and professional. They explain everything to you, in order for you to totally understand your pets options. I have had to have a couple of surgeries for my dogs, after we had exhausted all other alternatives. My dogs always were treated with the utmost care and have never had any problems after any surgery. The office calls the next day and make sure that they were recovering well. I had to have one of my dogs put to sleep. He had cancer and was in incredible pain. The staff and doctors were so companionate and caring. He was put to sleep in a peaceful pain free environment. They even gave me a special remembrance token. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciated their kindness during such a difficult time. Dr. Bassford has done a fabulous job in creating a perfect atmosphere for your pet. She has trained her staff to be the best at what they do and the doctors she has there are I think the best in the county. If you are looking for a perfect place to take your dog or cat, look no further. Give Four Legs the opportunity to welcome you into their family!

Wonderful vets here. I have been going to Four Legs for two years with my pets and I am very happy. They were highly recommended by three of my co-workers and I am so glad that I tried them out. Their prices are much less that I was used to paying in the Annapolis area both for regular visits and surgery. The staff is friendly, and the place is very clean. I dont know how they manage to keep up with all the dog hair, but it it always is spotless. I have seen three of the four vets and I like them all. I feel that they make recommendations based on what my pet really needs, and they answer all my questions, every though at times I know I can be a bit needy (I really love my pets) Two of my dogs have had surgery at Four Legs and they did a beautiful job. I was careful not to remove the "lampshade" they sent home on my dogs, and everything healed beautifully. One of my dogs had a large tumor taken off and they checked her several times after the surgery at no charge, and called several times to make sure she was eating and recovering well. I was very impressed with their level of care and concern. I have never found a group of vets less concerned about money and more concerned about my dogs health and well being. I would highly recommend them to anyone who loves their pets.

For regular check ups and updates Four Legs is a great place for your animals. However one Vet in particular is not. Dr. Laird did surgery on my dog for a benign lump on his back, which they stitched horribly and sent him home with his incision infected, then blamed me and my parents saying we were the ones who caused the infection. Then when they bandaged him up they put STICKY adhesive around him, which then slid down his back to end up attached to his incision. It took me and both of my parents 1/2 hour to get the adhesive off his incision. It was Thanksgiving and the office was closed. We took him back that friday and got welcomed with Dr. Laird saying it was his fault and ours that his stitches were ripped open and that now they would have to put staples in his back. We had to pay MORE money to put staples in, that in the next 3 days we took him for a checkup and after she "Cleaned" out the incision we saw that 3 of the staples were no longer keeping the incision closed and it was red and inflamed again. We have been keeping him on a leash, lying down, no playing, inside, and immovable as possible. Dr. Laird butchered my dog; we will no longer be going back to Four Legs Animal Hospital.

A truly wonderful practice! We switched here over a year ago with our two senior dogs. I knew I wanted to be at a place that when the time came, they would go in dignity and that it would be a positive experience. We see Dr Porteous and she is wonderful with excellent bedside manner and truly cares! We recently had to go through a cancer diagnosis with our 12 yr old dog that months later led to his passing. Four Legs was wonderful every step of the way from the diagnosis, options for surgery, and honest opinions on what we should or should not be doing- they really care about your pets quality of life. Eventually, when our dog passed, he was able to go in dignity and the process (although sad) was handled with the utmost care & concern. Two days later we received a beautiful card from the entire staff and when we went to pick up his ashes, they had taken the time to frame his paw print...something I am so ever grateful for! Our 10 yr old dog still goes here and receives exceptional care!

I researched all the vets in the Annapolis area, and Four Legs was the first one to welcome my request for a visit and q and a with one of the docs. They understood that I had a few special needs dogs and was looking for a veterinary office that focused on the whole dog and not just the parts that need attention. I appreciated their understanding and gave them a try, and I am very happy with my decision. Ive been working with Dr. Lindsey Laird from my first appointment and could not be more happy with her. I brought a foster with major anxiety and stranger-fear to see her, and she was patient and relaxed with him, and managed to coax him out from under/behind me for his exam. She took the time to earn his trust, and between the two of us I was able to choose the best forever home for him. The staff is warm and welcoming, and their follow up calls are always friendly and professional. Give them a try - I think youll choose them too.

Just took my 7 year old Pomerpoo (my Grand-dog) for an emergency visit on a Friday because he couldnt put any weight on it. All nearby vets couldnt see me until Monday. This facility said they would work me in. I was treated like I had made an appt. was not rushed, was treated royally. They even called my older vet from another city to get records. Dr Liz Russell took her time, gave my Simon a full check up, blood work and all. After the diagnosis, she even cut up the pills into quarters for him to take. I feel great. Will be back and will spread the word. First Class,.. Five Star

Both our dog and cat are cared for at 4 Legs for several years What I really like is that Dr Bassford is not an alarmist....she personally calls whenever there are issues & you discuss all the options of treatment first. Everyone seems to care, about the animals and you the loving owner. The place shines with cleanliness. I know there is another vet in the office now, I hope that does not change the personal care we get. I highly recommend the care, I feel like they know us as a family with our pets
