Very disappointed with our experience with Boston Animal Rescue League Vet today. We were notified that our dogs neuter surgery that is happening in less than 24 hours was cancelled due to a vets injury. While we were understandably not thrilled since it was less than 24 hours notice and we changed our work schedule to take our dog to the appointment we understand things happen and presume they would have discounted our services for not notifying us within 24 hours (since we would be charged if cancelling in under 24 hours). However, when we called to reschedule we were told it would not be for another 2 WEEKS! Because apparently they can cancel our appointment last minute but are fine not canceling anyone elses appointment to reschedule us (since we scheduled before all those other people). Its honestly ridiculous considering our bill would have been over $700 for the surgery and other shots due. Since the vet decided our business is not valuable too them and have made no effort to resolve the issue we will be taking that money to a different vet and all future visits. More importantly, to all my friends who I have recommended this Vet to, I can no longer do so in good faith if you are looking for a responsible and accountable veterinary.

Refused to come pick up an injured, wild animal. Insisted that we had to bring it in ourselves. I am a college student without a car in the middle of finals week. You would think that people who sign up to rescue wildlife would actually want to do their job. Guess not. Hours are wrong on their website, by the way; they are not open til 7pm, only until 5pm.

I had to get my cats teeth removed due to stomaitis, and they not only came in at FORTY PERCENT the price quoted to me by Angell, they also did an excellent job and treated my cat very very well. They also, unlike other vets, did not guilt me for having to wait to have a 1100$ procedure done.

We adopted our kitten from Bostons ARL in January and the experience was just incredible. The staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. And they were right - within a month, we are visiting the shelter every weekend looking for another kitten to add to our family. :) Thanks ARL!

I had a very good experience with Boston Veterinary Care and Rashel Shophet-Ratner D.V. she was very informative and polite and they were very acomidating with my buget restrictions. My two new kittens thank them very much for how well they were handled and treated.

The actual service here is fine, but they are not readily accessible. They do not pick up the phone. Your only option is to leave a message, and they dont always return calls.
