I would give this more stars if it allowed or had the option. I am always surprised by the negative reviews. I trust only Cambridge Veterinary Care to take my three cats. Ive only lived in Boston for two years now, and I have only taken my cats here since. I have one cat that is seven and has asthma. He has dealt with the issue time and time again and has made it affordable each and every time. He has suggested the best care for asthma cat from the very beginning, and even with the more serious and expensive care, including surgery, he has made it affordable and put me at ease when Ive been most nervous or concerned financially. He is faithful to my three cats and has given them the best care they have ever seen. I have one cat that is even, one is six, and my youngest is two and knows only Dr. Weiner. Weiners staff works so well with him, and I havent seen a relationship so strong and professional as his with his staff. His staff is loves animals so much, and so does Dr. Weiner himself. They do everything they can once youre in the office to take the best care for your pet(s) and they even soothe you when youre most worried. Your pet is in the best care when theyre being seen by Dr. Weiner. Im so happy that I found him and his staff for my three cats because I love them so very much and want only the best for them, and I cant expect that anywhere else. If I could give any more stars or any more praise, I would. Im so lucky that I have Cambridge Veterinary Care as my go to. I would be at a loss without them. I suggest Cambridge Veterinary to take the best care of your pet for any and every reason. Theyre affordable and accommodate you best if you find theyre not affordable. I had surgery done recently for my cat with asthma, and I was charged too much for my pocket, but they made it affordable and payable and doable. They made it possible to take care of my sickly cat. If you see complaints about finances, I would suggest that person or you consider insurance for your pet or checking out the prices anywhere else, but anywhere else will charge you far higher than Dr. Weiner will ever charge you. I have noticed that in the 7 years Ive been taking my oldest cat to vets. Cambridge Veterinary Care is the absolute best, and I wouldnt trust any other vet, and I wouldnt take my cats to any other veterinary care center.

I would stay away from this place. The comments below about Dr Bruce Weiner charging too much and finding unnecessary things to do proved true in our experience. We brought our rabbit in for a health check before a move to Belgium and also brought along the two pieces of paper that the authorities in Europe advised us that we needed to have Dr Weiner sign. We were charged $72 for a ten minute health check of our rabbit and thought this was fair since we were charged £40 for the same procedure in the UK and 62 euros for it previously in Belgium. However, Dr Weiner charged us $88 to read and sign the two pieces of paper given to us by the Belgians and we thought this rather pricey. Worse, he then advised that we needed him to fill out another six pages of paperwork that would have to be countersigned by the USDA. I told him that the Belgians had not said anything about this added paperwork but trusted his expertise. He then spent twenty minutes crossing out the words "dog, cat and ferret" and writing in the word "rabbit" in every paragraph on every page of these documents. I pointed out that it looked like the document was not for rabbits at all but Dr Weiner assured me that it was required and charged me $98.50 for this service. Well, he was incorrect. The USDA called me three days later and advised that this paperwork was not for rabbits and that they would not countersign it. I still kept the un-countersigned paperwork along with the two pages that I had been given by the Belgians in my folder when I travelled to Belgium with our rabbit just in case Dr Weiner was right and the USDA was wrong but this was not the case. The Belgians pushed the dog/cat/ferret paperwork away and advised me to not show such documents to border control in the future unless I want my pet to be detained. On the plus side, when the USDA informed me that our rabbit needed a health check 24 hours before flying rather than one week before flying (as Dr Weiner had advised), Dr Weiner graciously made the time to see our rabbit at the last minute and did not charge us for this visit. It is for this reason, and this reason alone, that I am giving him two stars rather than one.

Dr. Weiner has been treating our french bulldog Louie for many years; most of the years of his life and he is almost 14. Dr. Weiner and his staff have done multiple treatments and surgeries for us in urgent and unexpected times of need. We are sure he has saved Louies life at least 4 times and has made him more comfortable with his physical ailments/conditions. Dr Weiner AND his entire staff have always shown compassion, flexibility, and sincere care - to us, our family, and of course our dog. He really cares for animals and their best interest. Even if it means telling you something you dont want to hear about what needs to be done for your animal. We all have those moments as pet owners. We have always had great follow up and after-care treatment - with check in emails, calls, pills/easy refills, prescription foods if needed, and printed sheets with loads of information on what to expect after surgery. The facility is also very CLEAN which is important to us. RE: Money / Pricing: As with any service that costs money, we ask about pricing before we agree to things. As anyone should! We always feel that Dr. Weiner is very up front with us and willing to discuss options and costs before moving on. Pets can be expensive, but that is what you sign up for as a pet owner!! If you cant afford good care for your pet, dont have a pet. In sum, Cambridge Vet is reliable, organized, professional, and we very much recommend them.

I have always had a good experience with Dr. Wiener. I first went because they accept my veterinary insurance (Pet Assure) but I kept coming back for the amazing care. Dr. Wiener and his wonderful staff are very good at putting my cats at ease, even the feisty one that used to be feral. The receptionist is really nice knowledgeable. I can tell that all the staff really care about animals. Dr. Wiener definitely looks out for his patients. When my kitten accidentally ate a pill, I called Dr. Wiener (who is very easy to reach on the phone, by the way) and he realized that driving to Cambridge would take too long for me and told me exactly where to go (MSPCA Angell) to get the cats stomach pump. He was clearly prioritizing my cats health over my business, which I really appreciate. Furthermore, his fees are very reasonable. I boarded my three cats with them for a few days. One of my cats needed medical boarding due to her asthma and when I picked them up, it was clear that Dr. Wiener had personally attended to her each day. We actually lost her inhaler on the way back (our fault) but when I called to ask if we had left it at the clinic, Dr. Wiener wrote us a new prescription and offered to pay for it. In summary, this vet is super good, caring and ethical, and his staff are wonderful too!
