Love Littleton Animal Hospital. Have been taking our pets there nearly 15 years, and have always received excellent care for them, no matter the issue. LAH is considerate of issues that often impact care, such as a large, uncooperative and skittish dog, an owners financial situation, work schedule, or your ability to handle lifting & carrying a large dog for a week or two after an injury or surgery, and theyll work with you to figure out solutions that will work for you and help your pet. They truly care about your pets quality of life & health, and readily share information and ideas to help you keep them happy & healthy, and to give them comfort when they are ill or elderly. Last year, we lost 3 dogs, two elderly, and one young but very ill. The entire team showed us nothing but care and compassion, helping us keep them as comfortable as possible after diagnosis, and supported us during and after the difficult times. Each doctor has special interests and expertise that complements others on the team, and if they feel a situation could be better handled elsewhere, they dont hesitate to consult a specialist or give you a referral. Everyone on staff seems to attend continuing education in the latest tools, techniques and other areas, so they can offer the best possible care and treatment options. They also care enough to call and check up on their patients after an injury, illness or outside consultation, just to see how things are going and to address any concerns or questions that may have arisen after you returned home. Our current dog loves LAH so much she literally drags us in the door! As long as we have pets, well be using LAH.

Im a pre-vet major and have a ton of animal experience and this was the worst animal hospital I have been to. Had two of our rabbits neutered by them. It cost an arm and a leg but I assumed they knew what they were doing. Nope. They got one of our rabbits incisions infected, which is rare and difficult to do if they performed the surgery properly. They put him on antibiotics and pain meds for two weeks and the infection went away. However the other male rabbit was most likely improperly neutered as well. He still smells like a male rabbit, gets overly excited when female rabbits come near him, and urinates to mark territory more than he should be. We are still looking for a diagnosis for him... Worst of all though, the vet told us both males were perfectly healthy before and after their surgeries. We were assured they had excellent teeth. However the rabbit who had infected incisions also has had decreased appetite and has been shedding his coat like crazy. Turns out his teeth were NOT healthy and his top teeth are curling under and growing into his mouth while his bottom teeth have grown over his top teeth (their teeth should in fact meet at their tips). This has clearly been a problem since before his surgery, as they are starting to rot. He has had chew toys in his cage his whole life and he must have had misaligned teeth from the beginning and the vet didnt care to look carefully or perhaps he was dropped in surgery and his jaw was broken. No matter, I will never go back to this animal hospital and I strongly recommend against using this vet.

Dr. Kilgore and team go above and beyond. My family has been using them for over 15 years. They get to know each family and each animal, are excellent about communicating and giving timely and important updates, and their bedside manner -- for humans and animals -- is top notch. After the amazing sensitivity toward my parents and I that Dr. Kilgore showed when having to put down a beloved family pet of many years, I vowed that as long as I was in the area I would never take my pet(s) anywhere else, and even though they are about 40 minutes away from where I live now I still use them and am satisfied with the results.

My last vet was very rude and I felt did not understand the bond that one has with their animal. I interviewed Littleton Animal Hospital and I knew immediately that they would treat with dog with respect. Even the fact that they were willing to talk to me before I became a customer shows how nice they are. They dealt with my emotions well even then. I have been with them approx 4 years and they have never let me down. All of the staff are wonderful and are so kind to me and my dog. I recommend them to everyone. I feel very comfortable with them and I am so incredibly happy with the way they treat my dog.

This review is for their bird care. I have four parrots, and nearly all of them have been to see Drs. Kilgore and Papscoe at one time for another. I really trust them with my birds, and they have done so much for us over the years. They even performed a oviduct removal surgery (very risky) and my bird pulled through. They will do the best they can to fit you in on an emergency visit. And, when my old bird passed away in the night (I called a couple days later to let them know), they sent me a note with their condolences. Great people, and I have recommended them to my fellow bird owners.

I have been lucky enough to have been taking our pets here since day one. It has been 3 years now, and I can not rate this practice enough! If it had a 10 start option I would pick that! The staff, the Vets, everyone is amazing! They are friendly, very compassionate, very affordable, the practice is clean and they now have a cattery and food dispensary. I could not imagine taking our extended family anywhere else. They have been there for us with the good times, and the heartbreak with our pets, and we would be lost without this Practice. Thanks guys xxxxxx

Dr. Rod gets 5 stars. Best vet Ive met. Barb is also very intelligent and helpful. The 45 people that stand around at the desk to gossip, pet dogs, and make me wait a minimum of 10 minutes after my appointment is supposed to be taking place (even if Im 20 minutes early) get one star. If you have a busy life and a hectic schedule, I highly suggest only coming here when you can plan for approximately an hour of your life spent on a ~10 minute appointment for your fur baby

Very pleased with the doctor, he did everything right ans was a pleasure to talk to but also very disappointed because they failed to give a proper dosing sheet to my friend and his pet was accidentally overdosed. Please be sure to check for proper dosing and I hope that in the future they will improve their protocol and mark the syringe instead on relying on paper, which is a lot more work for them anyway and more easily forgotten.

Dr Rod is the best! Other vets Ive seen over the years have been quick to throw expensive testing and procedures that most people cant afford. Hes very thorough and takes amazing care of my fur babies. The staff is amazing as well. Even in a tough situation (I had to euthanize one of my kitties) he and his technicians are genuinely sympathetic. Even sent a hand written condolence card. I cant even think of going elsewhere.
