I had a desperate situation for my guinea pig, he went downhill overnight and they got me a visit Monday morning. The vet weighed him then took the vitals on an already dying pet and he knew it but didnt tell me. I knew my guinea pig was dying but looked up to this vet since he should be way more experienced than my instincts, I was wrong .... Cole needed to be put to sleep. I was given 4 options, the first being the most expensive, so he could read my reactions. I am a caregiver, we make nothing for money but I would do anything for my pet. Then the 3rd and the 4th, all to read how I would react. He is trained to milk as much money out of my dying pet as he can. I knew what was going on ( glassy eyes, lethargy, not eating for the last 10 hours ) Any idiot would know this is the end yet he got me for 123$ ... good for him ... Cole died 3 hours later in my arms. Do with that what you want but I am a guinea pig expert and I knew more than him about my pet but I failed my pet because I didnt believe in myself and my instincts. Never again will I go here!

I brought my cat, my baby of fourteen years, to them. She had a tumor that had become infected, I knew before I brought her there that the likely best option would be to have her put to sleep so I was as ready as anyone ever can be for such a thing. The doctor checked her out and told me about potential options, including having her put down. It was an aggressive tumor and there was no way to assure that it could be removed without putting her through a terrible ordeal. He was immensely sensitive to the difficulty of losing my baby girl, all the staff were wonderful. I opted to have her put to sleep, I held her as it was done, it was over in seconds. They gave me the option of staying in the room with her for as long as I wanted afterwards. Id gone in with no appointment, an emergency visit and they did not even charge me the emergency visit fee. They are all wonderful there.

I brought my elderly cat Nezumi to MVA in summer 2012 when she suffered sudden paralysis due to a blood clot. The first vet I called couldnt see her until the next day, but MVA was able to accommodate us immediately. Everyone from the receptionist to the vet were extremely caring, sensitive & compassionate. Dr. Papanicholas carefully explained the options and the likely outcome of each. We sadly did have to have Nezumi put to sleep, but the MVA staff made the process as easy as possible. They even sent a condolence card a short time after Nezumis passing. We just adopted a pet rabbit and I have no hesitation about using MVA for his care. Of the vets I have visited with pets over the years, they are by far the best I have encountered.

We have been going to Metrowest for over 16 years with 4 different dogs. We have been very happy with the attention our animals get at the practice. The Drs and Staff are very caring. I especially appreciate the time that Dr Artz will take when you call in with a question. I have had numerous calls over the years that have been in excess of 30 minutes. Not many places will spend that much time in the office with you, not to mention on the phone when they are not being paid for the service. But they care and it shows. And they are very compassionate when you have to make a decision concerning the well being of your pet. I would recommend Metrowest if you are looking for great pet care.

I have been going to Metrowest veterinary associates since I got my first dog in September 2006. I have had only the best of experiences with this doctors office. The doctors are patient, caring, knowledgeable and honest. The staff is always happy to help. My dog loves to go to the office not because she loves the visit but the special treats they offer at the end of the visit that make it all worthwhile. I have called for silly questions and have never felt that I was a nuisance. I highly recommend this office. They are the best.

New to the area. Not a good experience with this vet office. Not sure if it was just not a good match for us or maybe we are being too picky but just not willing to continue with this vet office. I see several good reviews so maybe this is just an isolated occurrence. We contacted another local Milford vet office and received a much more caring, respectful and educated experience. Just wanted to put it out there in case you are looking for a new vet, we would not recommend this office.

Dr Artz is great with rabbits- spayed my bunny and did a great job- she was hopping around and eating as soon as we got her home like nothing even happened! They are very reasonable too! He was also very honest regarding whether or not it would be beneficial to spay my second bunny given her age. Clearly has the pets best interest in mind vs other offices that are just out to make as much money as possible. Office staff is great to deal with also. I will be bringing all my pets here!!

Superb service. I had to take my cat here on 05/26/15 for what turned out to be a constipation issue. My husband and I were both very nervous because she has never been sick before. The doctor (I cant recall her name) put us at ease. I am so glad that I have found the perfect vet for my cats. If you want a place that has a friendly, courteous staff and that is very reasonably priced; look no further. I will be recommending Metrowest Vet to everyone I know.

My wife and I took our dog here on a slightly urgent vet visit and were met by very friendly welcoming staff up until it was time for our dog to be looked at by Dr. Adam. He seemed knowledgeable and competent but spoke in a very condescending and unprofessional way to us, as though we had never taken our dog to a veterinarian before.

Probably the most dishonest vet I have ever taken my dog to. I understand why some people chose not to have pets because they have interacted/may have to interact with overpriced, dishonest animal doctors with poor people and communication skills like the ones at Metro West animal hospital. Do not go here if you love your pet.

WOW, I called just inquiring about ACL surgery for my two dogs and Dr. Arzt called me back and spent nearly a half hour on the phone explaining things to me. He seems very pragmatic, and wont rush to surgery if the dog doesnt need it. Im wowed. I made an appointment right away . . . even though its an hour drive from me!
