My husband and I had to take our 10 yo cat George to IVG over the weekend for an ongoing IBS problem. We were referred to by our Vet at Post Road Veterinarian Hospital in Charlton after severals tries to get him to move his bowels. His situation was becoming increasingly dangerous to the point that it would have effected his heart and other organs. He was cared for by several doctors and staff members. I can only remember one doctors name and she is Dr Silk. Who is a specialist in this type of problem. After trying a new protocol using Golytley, a product that is used for patients having colonoscopies. It worked somewhat but not the way they had hoped so he had to be put under and have the stool removed manually. She was successful thank the good Lord. They saved him from having to be operated on which was something we could not have afforded. And we feared the worst was to come. We are so grateful for everyone at IVG who helped George who is now home with his brother and sister, resting comfortably and quietly. We cant thank everyone enough for taking such good care of our George. He is a very special cat to us and to many others. Everyone who meets him, falls in love with him. He is our gentle giant with the best personality you could as for in a pet. Everyone there was so helpful and sympathetic as well as empathetic. They explained everyone that needed to be done and what will need to be done in the future. I would recommend IVG to anyone who needs a great place to take their pets for high quality care. Thank you again IVG for saving George. We are so relieved and so happy. Thank you. Sincerely, Debbie and Scott Surprenant and of course Georgie

We spent almost 4 hours there due to other more pressing cases taking priority. I totally understand that they are more pressing, but we were unable to just go home because we were checked in and would be charged for just walking through the door. It was a complete waste of money and a terrible night for the whole family. The staff is very nice but I would have liked to just go home and keep my money and see my normal vet the next day since my dog started improving in his own. By the time we were seen, he was ok enough that we could have waited till the morning. I am pregnant and hadnt eaten dinner. We were not given a timeframe of when we would be seen so we assumed it would be any minute. Hours passed and the vending machine was almost empty and it nearly caused me to have my own medical emergency because I hadnt eaten real food in over 12 hours. It was a very frustrating experience and I hope I never have to go here again.

An incredible and wonderfully caring staff at every level - the emergency care staff (late at night) all the way through to the weekends. Our lab was 12+ years old and faced complications due to an onset of cancer and complications therein. We did all that we could to make him comfortable and happy the last four weeks, whilst we gave him care at home with direction from our new, IVG MetroWest friends. End of life care is never easy, but we were lucky to have an extra month to say goodbye, cook lots of great meals, and take walks together along his favorite spots around the lake. Thank you all for your help, caring, and love! Our Reilly is in doggie heaven and being able to have him cared for with such love until the end was important to us all. THANK YOU!

We had very bad experience with this company. Two our kittens are dead. One was just two weeks old, but doctors didnt tell us upfront that theres no hope at all, they charged us for useless medications instead. Another kitten had surgery that was successful, but he died due to lack of post-operative care which should be in place 24/7. Nonetheless they charged us a lot of money, and they are doing the same with other people (see testimonials on Yelp). They delete negative testimonials from their website, so these people lie to their customers trying to cover their faults. Their only interest is money, in reality they have no compassion to helpless animals and their owners. Please, stay away from them.

I cant even begin to tell mine and Micks story of last month. He suddenly started bleeding out, rapidly and would never have made it to Tufts or Angel. These veterinarians saved my dog Micks life and I am so very grateful! Hes a ten year old Chihuahua and they did everything quickly and efficiently from oxygen crib to blood transfusion and every test possible to discover what was wrong. They saved my little Micks life. The entire staff was wonderful and I felt like I was in a "human" emergency hospital by the professional care I witnessed! Finally an emergency hospital in our area! They get an A+ from us with much gratitude. Again, thanks to the whole team for saving our little Mick!

My Chocolate Lab is 14 yrs old. Last spring she would go into occasional convulsions because she could not breath. My vet referred her to IVG. I was preparing myself to say goodbye. I was amazed that this facility has every type of specialist for animals that I would find in a hospital for humans.. surgeon, orthopedist, anesthesiologist, internist... They recommended a corrective surgery to consider. The care was incredible, I could call to check on her 24/7. My chocolate lab is now 14 and walking the trails with me daily and I couldnt be happier with the surgery and care. I think IVG is amazing.

I do not recommend this place. Ive been there twice. Both times, Ive suspected that many of the tests were done primarily to increase the charges. The last time, they estimated that the costs would be more than $2300 for a cat with a UTI. I told them not to do several tests- like X-rays - that seemed ridiculous, and got the price down to $1300. The medical care was fine and the staff is kind, but the focus is definately on increasing charges. My regular vet did exactly the same stuff (without the tests) for the cost of a regular office visit.

Terrible experience. My dying cat had $1500 of asthma treatment and he was sent home in the same condition to prolong his suffering. He was traumatized in the oxygen tank with noisy dogs and when I asked If they should sedate him they said no. I had to call a wonderful vet in Natick to put him to sleep at home. Two days later. I would never never return. I felt scammed and infuriated that they charged all this money for my 14 year old boy. The vet who came to the house said he had heart issues - no question. Beware!

Truly a great experience. We went in late Sunday/Early Monday for an issue with our dog. Our dog is not a huge fan of the vet but the nurse and dr all took the time to make her comfy. They did a great job explaining to us what was going on and keeping us updated. The cost was incredibly reasonable for an emergency visit, sedation, and medication. If we ever have an emergency with the dog we will definitely be going here again.

Couldnt ask for better. The staff, vet techs and the veteranian herself were kind and caring. I thought I was there for my male cats end of life visit and Jack (my cat) is now home again. Jack is of indetermanate age but I know he is old and he and I will spend the rest of his days as if each is his last, Kevin.
