One of my main regrets was that I selected this place for my dogs care. Their services are expensive and they do as many tests as they can. Worst yet, they do not do the tests that matter most and cost the least!! My dog had an anal sac carcinoma that could have be caught early if they EVER did a rectal exam. For the cost of a physical, this simple exam is the least they could do. Because they did not, we only caught the cancer once it had spread to his lymph nodes. Last time I brought him in (before the cancer was diagnosed) he has lost weight and they were going to "follow him". Turns out he had inguinal lymph nodes that were so enlarged that a second year Tufts vet student picked it up on a physical! If that is not incompetence on the part of the VCA staff I do not know what is!! If you want fantastic care go to Tufts vets in Grafton. It is a 40 min ride but worth every minute you will send getting there.

Stay away from this veterinarian practice, completely avoid them! I took my dog there and met the Vet lady, it was the worst experience that I have been through ... My regular vet has been sick so I needed to have the physical done in order to travel. The vet lady made it extremely complicated and impossible. She criticised everything that my regular vet has done over the years regarding my dogs health. All she wants to do was uncessary and useless just to make money. I owned dogs for over 30 years, some of them lived to be 17 years old.... never met or experienced anything like this practice.

Id give it a 3.5. Ive taken my pet there all his life and only on a few occasions did I feel unnecessary tests were ordered/suggested. Granted that amounts to hundreds of dollars...so know before you go. Stand your ground especially if you know your pets health. And take a minute to confirm each procedure. Our last visit which was made to sound as if it were part of the exam was in fact several separate procedures resulting in a rather large bill. And its not like you can take it back... So bottom line ask questions and be clear on what they are suggesting. C.

We have been taking our pets to VCA Rotherwood in Newton Highlands for over 30 years. We were there today with our two cats for their shots and check-ups and were very pleased to experience the excellent treatment weve grown accustomed to. From the receptionist to the technician to Doctor Scruton, all were friendly, professional, and considerate. Doctor Scruton has always provided expert diagnoses, advice and care which we appreciate greatly. I know, too, that there will be a follow-up call tomorrow. Highly recommend.

My cat and I had a very good experience here. The staff were helpful to me and great with my elderly cat. She had a lump in her mouth that needed to be removed and tested. I was able to make an appointment here very quickly and they got my cat in for surgery in less than a week. Everything was explained thoroughly to me and Dr. Krauss was definitely an attentive vet and concerned with my cats well being.

After being flat out price gouged by these folks on my dogs medication I am ALMOST still considering going for my cats hurt paw today purely because they are so close. Then I try to call in to set expectations for not being sucked for all my money and THE PHONE LINE IS DOWN AND GUESS WHAT THE WEBSITE IS DOWN TOO. I have no words. NO WORDS. HOW DO YOU HAVE NO WEBSITE OR PHONE. HOW?!!?!

I just moved to the US and got a cat here. The treatment has been excellent, the vet was very professional and helpful. They did more than I expected them to as far as helping me to understand the vaccines that the cat needed here in the US. The vet was very friendly and kind to my cat.
