I changed dentists just recently to South Boston Dental Associates. From the moment I walked in the door till the time I left, I felt like I was treated not as a client but as family. Ann, my hygenist, was amazing and thorough. She took her time, and explained everything that was going on. My teeth felt amazing after she was done.. After that, I consulted with Dr. Philip Barber about having a dental implant. He was thorough in what was going to happen. He referred me to Dr. Michele Crohin who placed the implant. Very professional and NO PAIN. Dr. Barber then placed the crown over the post and I have to say that it looks amazing. He is a perfectionist in every sense of the word. So, to sum up, overall experience there was excellent and I highly anyone looking for top knotch dental services to go there.

I had been using the same dentist for twenty years, but now I needed some specialized work done on receeding gums. I had heard very good things about Dr. Barber and his practice at South Boston Dental. First of all, the practice itself is state-of-the-art. It is bright, cheery, well laid out, and filled with the latest and best equipment. The professionals who work for Dr. Barber are the best, from the receptionist, to the hygienist, to the dentist, to the specialists. They take their work very seriously, and work hard to achieve excellent goals in your mouth and tooth care. If you do not have a dentist, you need to seriously consider this dentistry practice. If you are thinking of changing your dentist, or need specialized work, you should also consider South Boston Dental.

I have been a patient of Dr Barbers since 1987 and always trust that I will get the best care from South Boston Dental Associats. About 15 years ago, I was informed that my wisdom tooth needed to be pulled. I am the biggest baby in the world and I was so frightened that when I came into the office the day of the appointment I started to cry. Everyone worked really hard to calm me down and when I was finally in the chair, Dr Barber asked me to close my eyes so he could give me a novicann About 5 minutes later, he came in, asked me to close my eyes again because he wanted to see if I needed another shot. I did what he he said and told him I was ok and he could pull it if he wanted....then he told me he already pulled it! Dr Barber and his staff are that good every time.

If you are looking for professional high quality dentistry than this is it! I was 20 when I went to a different dentist that told me I needed dentures. I am so glad I went for a second opinion, because I am now 51 and still have all my teeth. Dont get me wrong they were very bad, but South Boston Dental Associates were able to bring my teeth back from the brink. I just have to say thank you to Dr. Barber and the whole team there. I mentioned the team because it is not just the doctors. The whole support staff is great, from the receptionist to my dental hygienist Peg, all have a high standard of quality and professionalism! They are also nice people as well :) which to me is just as important. Thank you guys!

I have been a patient of Dr. Barber at South Boston Dental Associates since 1999. Dr. Barber is very gentle and a perfectionist. He and his staff are extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Erica has been my hygienist for years and does an amazing job. The staff at the front desk can answer your insurance questions, set up appointments and what I love is the reminder call a day or so before your appointment. I have recommended them to so many people over the years and they have been delighted with their care. There is ample street parking and they do have reminder signs for street cleaning days posted. You cant go wrong here. I give them 5 stars!

I have been a patient since 1987. I always liked coming in and seeing everyone that worked there. They were always so nice, not to mention Dr. Barber is a GREAT dentist. I came in as a patient in 2002 for an appointment, as a first time Mom. They were asking me about my son and heard I was looking for part time work. Well, lets say I left with a part time job. It just so happened, they were looking for someone part time and I have been here for 14 years now. Thats how much they pay attention to their patients and care.

I have to say that after not seeing a dentist for some time they took great care of my teeth. My hygienist Anne was very thorough, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Dr. Barber was great, he explained in detail the next course of action. The convinience of being able to see the necessary specialists and an accommodating schedule is fantastic along with the txt and email reminders. The administrative staff and the entire team are very friendly and professional and provide a great dental experience.

Dr. Barber and the whole team are the best dental team I have ever had. Dr. Barber is a perfectionist. I never worry about the care or advice I am getting from the South Boston team, and the administrative support in the office is just as good. I have lived in NY, NJ, TX and several other towns in Ma, and no one has ever been this good. I have been a patient for 11 years now, and the only thing I stress about is whether Dr. Barber is grooming a younger version of himself to take over some day!!

This place is fantastic! I have seen several skilled Hygienists and have not been disappointed. It feels great to come in and be greeted warmly by the front office and back clinicians. Dr. Barber is a great dentist with a meticulous eye for detail which as a patient I am thankful for. The full staff works well together and communicate great to facilitate my dental visits. I wouldnt go anywhere else!!

Ive gone to this same dentist for over 30 years. Most friendly staff. I trust them. Love all the hygienists. Dr Barber is great and honest. I use to live near them for many years and still go there living 20+ miles away.
