Doesnt matter how good the doctors are if you cant get in for sick visits. This office doesnt make appointments for sick visits which means you are calling every morning at 8am to try to snatch the few open times available. We called two days in a row to get in to see doctor for my son who was dehydrated from stomach flu. Couldnt get an appointment, doctors also wouldnt call in a prescription saying they werent comfortable without seeing him. I became frustrated and starting telling them my concerns with gaining access to my doctor and mysteriously they found an appointment. ..this visit will be my last. I have 5 children and getting in with a sick child has NEVER gone smoothly....best part is they are still accepting new patients not sure how they will manage any more.

Dont get me wrong, Dr dettore is great. The office policy sucks. You got to call in the morning if your child is sick. They set aside a few appointments for this but if your not first to call, you got to wait for the next day and so on. The people working the office are rude. Especially the manager. Youre dealing with children, have some compassion. Ive worked at drs offices and this is no way to run one. Whats the point in good doctors when you cant run an office.

We have taken our four children to Downriver Pediatrics since we moved here a year and a half ago. My husband is a doctor and when he asked around to other medical professionals in the area they all recommended Dr. Sy and Dr. Dettore-- they are the best around, hands down. They will always make the time to anwser your questions and are GREAT with the kids. My children all adore them.
