First let me say. If I could give this place -5 stars I would. Let me give a little background as to why I am in the situation to have to be at this place to begin with. I am a mother that just gave birth to a baby boy. I am currently on maternity leave for 3 months. I used to have priority health but since I am not curretly working I have to have Medicaid. No one accepts Medicaid but this place and cherry st. Before thn I would go to my dentist which is Dr. NEUMAN. I cannot return back until I get back to work. FAST FORAWRD TO THE IMPORTANT PART. Went to the ER BC of tooth pain. They send me to this place. I get a Ex ray done and was told theres no saving the tooth its infected needs to be tooken out. OK Im fine with that. They tell me its a month long wait . Kind of weird just to get a tooth taken out. Didnt think we lived in a third world country. But what ever. Remind u this is my only option until I get back to work. So I was told that they will contact me. Waited a day never got a phone call. So I start blowing up the phone line as I was told by a lady in the waiting room since they dont like to answer the pbones . She told me jus gotta keep calling and calling to get ahold of someone. Finally got someone. Which took me at least 15 calls. Tells me she will schedule my tooth extraction which was a month away. So today. I go in for that procedure and they get me in check me in the chair. Remind u my nerves all through the roof. I havent ate for over 8 hours since my appt was at noon . The lady comes in and tells me theres no Doctor there to take my tooth out. I go to the front desk and the black guy there basically told me he didnt know who I was and basically made it seem like I was making my appt up . Telling me he dosent see me in the system and he dosent know what to tell me. But in a very rude way. He tells me that I didnt get a call from him so I dont have a appt set. How do I suppose to know I suppose to get a phone call from him. I had my paperwork for my appt and even confirmed my appt. I felt very disrespected. Now I have a tooth that is infected and was told that I need to go to Muskegon and have to wait another 2 months. My fiance is the only one working right now and took work off for me to get this done only to be told sorry I dont knoe what to tell u. Its bullshit. Now I understand all the reviews and all the angry people that were In the waiting office. THIS OFFICE SHOULD TREAT ALL PEOPLE WITH THE SAME RESPECT. JUST BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE HAVE MEDICAID OR ARE ON LOW INCOME DOSENT MEAN U SHOULD TREAT THEM ANY DIFFERENTLY. I AM A NURSE AND I KNOW THAT U SHOULDNT MAKE PATIENTS FEEL LESS THAN A PERSON OR BE TALKED TO AS IF U ARE HIGHER THAN THEM. IM SURE THAT I MAKE X2 WHAT HE MAKES A HOUR BUT IT DOESNT MATTER BECAUSE WE ARE HUMAN AND DESERVE RESPECT . Word of mouth goes along way and being In the medical field u always have resources. I will definitely be making a couple phone calls to see if this place can be looked into. I will be getting ahold of state also. There is to many on going problems with patients at the facility and it needs to be addressed. All the gossiping that goes on between the people in the front wheres people are calling with serious mouth infections are not OK. Treat your patients with respect. B. POWELL

If there was a zero star rated, they wouldve got that. I drove my three year old over two hours to visit this office since they have the nearest "specialist". We went over due to our family dentist saying they would be about to handle my shy little girl, but they treated us like another appointment. The "specialist" was told she needed to address herself to my daughter abd give her a chance to get comfortable. But rather since she didnt just willingly open her month, she had me turn her around to lay her down on our laps. Rather than letting me calmly try to lay her down, she grabbed her head and pulled her down. She screamed in fear and chocked on spit, but the dentist just kept going. Then when she had to work on the temporary filling, she was scrapping in the hole, my little girl screamed louder, she tried to tell her " she was fine and that it didnt hurt." Im sorry but Im sure it hurt, thats why they normally numb people getting a filling. They didnt even rub anything in her gum! By then I was so disappointed in the way they treated her, the dental hygienist walked us out, and on the way my little girl notices the token machine that she has seen her brother and sister get treated from. But instead of her getting a token the dh, she had the nerve to tell her "thats only for children that are good". Are you f###ing kidding me! Shes three and terrified her! Ill be lucky if I can even get her to visit a dentist again! No dentist, let alone a "pediatric specialist" should force themselves on a child! Then to hear that she regularly forces children, she shouldve have her career dealing with children and caring parents should never take there children here!

Perhaps it is because I live in the real world and realize that securing service is a contract which 2 (or more) enter and for it to be successful for both parties it requires equal diligence, through participation. In other words, you need to tell them what you need, what you can pay for or not, and not expect them to hold your hand and remind you every 5 seconds to go to the dentist. Personally, since I have a bad memory and do not trust Goggle calendar, I send myself emails and leave them in my inbox. Or if an alarm is needed I set 3 on my phone. As to rating service? **After one visit, I got in on time (as I was there early) the hygienist (Mandy) was very nice, and over all for being at the dentist (not my favorite thing) it was very stress free. The Doctor, while looking incredibly young (possibly because I am incredibly old?) was very good and designed a treatment plan, as to whether this is carried out(?) I believe it will depend more on me, than them. But if thing s turn out as terrible as some here claim(?) I will return.

I made an appointment and waited for months to get in just to be told when I arrived that my insurance wouldnt cover x-rays for another 6 months so they couldnt help me. So I grit my teeth and waited in pain for another 6 months until the day of my second appointment where I was told they took it upon themselves to cancel my appointment, and had called me (which they never did), i was told once again that my insurance wouldnt cover x rays by the same person who told me they WOULD cover them in November. I had to take the day off work and will probably lose my tooth thanks to these idiots.
