5, 10, 20, maybe even 30 years since youve seen a dentist. Sweaty palms, anxiety, and just overall fear? That was me. I had not seen a Dentist in many, many years due to a bad experience. My smile had badly deteriorated along with the overall condition of my teeth and gums. It was time for my son to get braces and have some dental work done and he was very nervous. I made a pact with him that we would do it together. I went to Dr. Ellard, my first visit to a Dentist in nearly 25 years with extreme anxiety. Walking into his office I began to relax slightly by the comfort of his North Woods lobby. My anxiety decreased even more once I began to interact with his office staff. Very accommodating and caring while maintaining a very professional presence. My first visit was an opportunity for Dr. Ellard to meet me and have his Dental staff examine me which was a combination of pictures and x-rays. The staff could sense my anxiety and were beyond accommodating and caring to my needs. Once all of the preliminary work was done, Dr Ellard sat down and described every step in detail of what I would need in order to be ready for Orthodontic treatment as my ultimate goal was to have braces at the same time as my son. I explained all of my anxieties with Dr. Ellard and his staff at which time Dr. Ellard offered the option of sedation Dentistry which I gladly accepted. I began my repairs and cleanings which took several visits over a two month period. I could not believe the difference. Every time I entered his practice my anxiety was less and less. His staff is beyond caring, compassionate, as well as very accommodating. Not to mention that Dr. Ellard has amazing taste in music, but that is just a personal bonus for me during my visits:) A year has now passed and I do not need any type of sedation or anxiety help. His staff has eliminated any of those needs. I am 6 months into my Invisalign, which I highly recommend to any adult needing Orthodontics, with about 12 months to go. I get to visit his wonderful staff monthly for new Invisalign trays and have cleanings done every 4 months. I would recommend Dr Ellard to anyone, but especially those with anxiety and fear. Dr. Ellard & his entire staff will set you at ease while providing you with the highest level of care.Dr. Ellard and his staff are giving me my smile and confidence back. I dont know how you can put a price on that. You will not be disappointed.

Like so many other people with extreme dental anxiety I started going to Dr Ellard when I had a terrible toothache that would not go away (they never do, they just get worse). I was around 50 years old at the time and I had seen my share of dentists, none of whom understood that fear and anxiety will keep the most sensible, normal people from going to a dentist until they have no choice. I looked through the phone book (yes, a paper yellow pages :) ) and chose Dr Ellard because his ad actually mentioned dental fear, and said "Dont stay away because you think its too late". My first visit was just about 9 years ago and I started my dental journey with my hygienist, Bianca, numbing my mouth for just a cleaning (!) and doing one quadrant at a time because that was what I felt comfortable with. Bianca is still my hygienist and we do my whole mouth at one visit and talk between rinses. Dr Ellard sat down with me and presented a treatment plan and was very up front with cost, procedure and time frame. He has been so great since that first crown, yikes!... through additional crowns, extractions, implants (love them!) and even braces for 2 1/2 years that he recommended to make treatment complete. Who knew?! In the beginning of course the anxiety was still there but Ive come a long way because I found a dentist who gets it, who realizes that dental anxiety is real. I told him that the one thing I hate to hear is "Let me know if it hurts"....I know Im not the only one who thought Why would I have to let you know? I can honestly say that I have never had anything happen that I was in any pain or discomfort during the many procedures I have had done. Dr Ellard is personable, funny, confident and extremely competent. He is meticulous and a perfectionist about his work and that is a benefit to his patients. And he plays Michael Buble and Jackson Browne videos among others so thats a plus too :) The office staff is friendly, attentive and always willing to help with a request. Dr Ellards dental assistants are friendly and knowledgeable and work so smoothly with him that you feel comfortable with the whole experience. I am writing this the night before an appointment for a crown and Im happy to say that my only anxiety is that I made an earlier morning appointment instead of afternoon!

Magnificent! When a dashboard had crushed the left side of my face so severely that it had fractured my neck, I was amazed at the precise re-alignment of my bite.Through the chaos & disappointments of all my cranio-facial reconstruction (including bone-grafts), my smile is the one thing that Im very proud of! When the lower jaw is broken its often "Re-set" to maintain proper bite,but when your upper-jaw has been forced downward on your face how will they ever correct the way you eat & speak? Im fascinated by the compassion & expertise of Dr.Ellard & his staff & the "state of the art" technology utilized along with the diligent battles with the insurance company. My occupation has put me in different parts of the country where I was forced to seek dental care wherever I was at the time (including the military), and I can say that their patience,confidence, & attitude go UNMATCHED! Of course I had fears of not only dentists , but plastic surgeons & neurologists! And in the midst of making all these appointments that were an hour-drive away, Dr.Ellards staff was the only practice that customized my plan to accommodate. I was skeptical,but after the first couple of visits it was very clear that I was where I SHOULD BE! Ive overcome my fears & instead look forward to every visit! I thank you DR, Ellard & your OUTSTANDING TEAM!

I was having major problems with two molars for over a year prior to contacting Dr. Ellard. After going to two other dentists that could not identify the problem, I was in need of a dentist that had the professional knowledge, education, and experience to quickly identify the cause. I knew right away when I walked into Dr. Ellard’s office that this experience was going to be wonderful. The staff are caring and professional and are sincerely concerned about your health. They will do all they can to ensure you fully understand the dental procedure and confusing insurance process. After seeing Dr. Ellard for the first time and getting an x-ray with the most advanced equipment available, he quickly identified the problem that required the removal of both molars. I scheduled an appointment quickly thanks to the very capable staff and the teeth were extracted. I had immediate relief and currently in the process of receiving two implants to replace the molars. I have since moved my entire family dentistry to Dr. Ellard and feel good knowing how well my family is cared for! I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ellard Dentistry for all of your dentistry needs!
