Dr Karen Niver delivered both of my children; my son in 2007 and my daughter just 7 months ago. She is caring, cheery, and overall a great OBGYN. She will hug you and your partner after every prenatal visit, she really makes you feel like you are her only patient. She is a very very busy doctor, but Ill tell you first hand that she will arrive promptly when you are unexpectedly ready to give birth to your child. I went into labor with my son on a night that Dr. Niver was not on call, I was crushed (but I knew that Dr. Hurtubis would have been great too). But before I knew it, Dr. Niver was at my side ready to deliver my son. Ive never had an episiotomy and she never was pushy about pain relief methods because I wanted to go drug-free. I highly recommend Dr. Niver. Dr. Giles is a great GYN as well. I have heard that Drs Tseng, Hurtabis, and Lensmeyer are great too.

Where do I begin? From November until the birth of my first child at the end of February I never saw Dr. Niver. She was always on vacation somewhere. At this point in my pregnancy you see the Doctor every other week. My water broke early and Dr. Niver told me if the baby was born after 12 oclock (noon) someone else was going to deliver my child because she was going on vacation again! She had a terrible bedside manner and was always impatient when I had questions. Dr. Tseng was rude to me as well. Dr. Lensmeyer delivered my daughter and he was the only one at this practice I felt comfortable with (I got to meet the whole OB-GYN staff from all of Dr. Nivers vacations). Needless to say that when I became pregnant with my second child, I went to a different practice.

My husband and I had Dr. Niver for prenatal care from beginning to end. What an amazing experience it was/is to have her as my OB. She is one of the nicest people and doctors we have ever met. Not once did I just feel like a patient being rushed in and out. She was kind and caring talking to us about any questions we had and always a hug at the end of our appointment. Disregard the negative review I seen below because if we had 12 kids she would deliver them all! Thank you again so much Dr. Karen Niver. Stephanie and Chad H.
