We had our first child (son) this past weekend, and set up our first visit with Country Creek based on location and reviews (Yelp, Angies List, Facebook, etc). The staff was friendly and courteous upon arrival. Once in the room, the Nurse Practitioner entered, introduced herself by reciting her resume, and proceeded to give us a 20 minute lecture regarding how to take care of our baby in an extremely condescending manner (she asked us ridiculously basic baby questions - if we knew how to tell if the bottle was the correct temperature, and she even told us that we should put the baby in a crib to sleep and asked do you have a crib already?)!. Mind you - we are two professional adults who have some clue about basic baby care, although she didnt take the time to first understand that. We are first time parents - however, she never once asked how the baby was doing, how he was sleeping, how the birth went, how we were doing since leaving the hospital, if there were any issues, or anything else. We left the office and immediately called another pediatrician.

Dr. Samuels is the best pediatrician I have had for my sons. We have moved every year, so Ive been to plenty of pediatricians across Michigan. She was the first doctor to actually address my concerns about my son and she also provided new insight about an eye problem my other son has. In just one visit she offered 3 referrals for issues I have tried to talk to previous doctors about but was always dismissed with "its nothing." Dr. Samuels understands that a parent deserves to have their concerns addressed, regardless if it is "nothing" after all. Finally a doctor who understands that if a parent has a concern and is willing to pay to follow up on that concern, no doctor has a right to withhold referrals because they believe its "nothing." As it turns out, my concerns were valid anyway, as the referrals revealed my son has a sensory issue and needs occupational therapy. Because of previous dismissive pediatricians, we have struggled with his sensory problems on our own, having no clue how to help him. She is the best best best anywhere around.

We love Dr. Samuels. She is perhaps the most caring and knowledgeable pediatrician we have ever had! She is so caring and often remembers small details about each of my kids. I have never felt rushed, and I always feel like my insight is important. She is also very thorough. If something doesnt seem right, she investigates it carefully, and if she is unsure, she refers you to another competent specialist. If she does refer you somewhere, she is good about communicating with that specialist and making sure that she stays in the loop. She is an impressive doctor. I would not hesitate at all about recommending her.

Even though we moved farther away we still bring our children to Dr. Samuels. She is personable, caring and goes beyond reasonable expectation to help. When our son was born last year, Dr. Samuels gave hugs and congratulated us, took our calls during off business hours and asked about blood test results while he was still in the hospital. I wish I could pack her up and bring her to my city!

Dr Rosie has been our pediatrician for the past 15 yrs. My kids have a lot of health issues that dont follow text book cases. She has always been on top of everything! She is very thorough and takes her time with you which makes her the best pediatrician around! You wont go wrong choosing her to take care of your kids.
