His practice is the absolute worst experience Ive ever had in any medical institution. The very unprofessional guy who ran my EEG suggested, in hushed tones, that I should lie about or omit my seizures in order to get licensed to drive again. Dr. Garg didnt ask or give two rips about my medical history. The moment he heard my tonic-clonic seizures were ultimately triggered by the adderall to which I was prescribed, he had no further questions. No, he isnt aware of the other types of seizures Ive had for a couple years before having ever been prescribed adderall. In fact, I didnt know thats what I was experiencing for all that time until I encountered a doctor who actually asks questions. Mostly, Ive had to figure this stuff out myself. I was apprehensive about the anti-convulsant he had apparently told the ER doctor to prescribe me, because of some of its off-label uses (bi-polar disorder). I dont do well with these types of medications, and I am very cautious about which drugs Ill allow to tweak my brain chemistry. He raised his voice and denied it, saying "no. Its not FDA approved for that. Just google it." Do you know what off-label means? I tell him, "I DID my research. This IS true." He then googles it in the office right in front of me, and right there on the list of things it has been known to treat is... bi-polar disorder. Although, he must have been temporarily blind or illiterate, because he just continued with his BS. Finally, I relented and said "I will try it, but this doesnt address my other issues. I have inattentive-ADD that greatly impacts my functionality and quality of life. The doctor in the ER suggested I ask about Vyvanse or Focalin, which may not aggravate my seizure activity the way Adderall does." - he just pursed his lips, shook his head, refused, and said "take what I am prescribing you and come back in two weeks for a follow up." He also doesnt have a clear grasp of Michigan state laws around seizures and licensing... which makes going to him even more useless. The state will allow me to drive 6 months from my last seizure, with or without a doctors note. A neurologist can, if he chooses, clear you to drive 3 months from your last. Granted, its up to their judgment as to whether or not to sign one, but he said "no. 6 months no matter what. And 6 months get added for each seizure. Take these and come back in two weeks." I did not come back and never will :) your average patient may be less informed and perhaps less intelligent, but no one treats me like that... especially as a customer. You have a chance to impress your patients and earn their continued business, not the other way around

I went to Dr Garg twice for numb feet. The first time in his examination room, which is also the office of one of his female staff members, who sits there on a computer, he asked me to take off my shoes, socks and pants when all the while the secretary sat there and watched the exam while I was half naked. A female staff member actually walked in while I was half naked, lying on a table. When she left the room, she left the door open so that anyone and everyone that walked by could see in the room. The second time I went there, I was in the same room, this time with a different female secretary, who happened to be crying when I went in and Ill be god damn if the same thing didnt happen again! This time though, while I was on the exam table, in my underwear, he was evaluating the condition while he was talking on his cell phone talking about a stroke patient. When he hung up from the call, he looked at me and said thats it! Whats it? He said you have a pinched nerve. No MRI, no x-ray just a feel, around, with one hand, while hes on the phone. Then he walked out. I told the staff member, that sat there watching me in my underwear that I wouldnt be back that this was the second time Ive been through this and wouldnt be back because of this unprofessionalism. Then she has the nerve to say "all you had to do was ask me to leave". Really??? A person has to ask for a little privacy or consideration? To make matters even worse, he sent me for an arterial scan the last time I was there. I was there this time for the results. he didnt even discuss them with me. He did however call my foot doctor to get the MRI results of a test the foot doc had done two weeks ago. He didnt even look at them. He just up and walked out of the room. he didnt even say goodbye, be right back or fuckoff. he just left. I really dont recommend Dr Garg

I regret to inform you that my experience with this doctor was my worst experience ever. I have epilepsy. Every doctor Ive been to before saw me every 6 months {I was seizing monthly}. This doctor insisted on seeing me every 3 months, even tho I hadnt had a seizure in over a year, and wanted me to try more meds {I didnt}. It was hard to keep up with the co-pays seeing him that often though and I had to reschedule that following appt...Which left me with no more meds. Ive never had a problem with a doctor calling in a months worth of my meds to hold me over til my next appt. But this doctor would not call in my prescription...even knowing that if I stop taking this anti-convulsant, I will go into immediate status epilepticus- where I will seize every 2 hours! I have epilepsy and rely on one medication to stop convulsions. It is not a pain med or narcotic type drug. I feel he put me in harms way just because he wanted a co-pay before he wrote that prescription! I tried to reason with his nurses at no avail but thankfully the pharmacy granted me a weeks worth of pills til I found a a new doctor! I do not recommend this nuerologist at all- more interested in your money than your health.

If I could give this guy no stars I would. He cut my boyfriends prescription in half because he got in trouble for giving out prescriptions. Which caused my boyfriend to run out of medicine and have a seizure and refused to give him the corrected dose, then chased my boyfriend out of his office yelling at him in front of the whole waiting room that he is not allowed back becuse my boyfriend told him he would start seeing a different neurologist that would actually listen to him. Not to mention you wait in the waiting room for an hour and the doctor sees you for maybe all of 5 mins and trys his hardest to get you in and out of his rooms and doesnt listen to a damn thing you have to say.

Dr. Ram S. Garg is the worst Dr. I have ever been to. He is rude, sexist, and extremely unprofessional. I urge anyone that wants to become a patient of his not to. He overbooks patients and spends about 30 seconds on each one. He threatens his patients with there meds. His office constantly smells like septic and ass. There are so many more hateful words I would love to express but i will not. I have wasted over a year going there for no reason at all. I do not like switching Drs so i gave him the benefit of the doubt. As I have talked to other patients of his I am certain that I am not the only one who feels this way. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
