I have had a series of x-rays and MRIs since a fall in Dec. 2010. I went to CDI in Maplewood for a specific test on my hand. My experience began with inconsistent answers during phone calls, which I attributed to someone new answering the phone. The staff was nice when I arrived and assured me they would do everything in their power to make me comfortable. I needed an injection in my wrist and that went well. Because I have several injuries it was difficult for me to be placed comfortably on a table and they worked hard to get me as comfortable as possible. I was given headphones playing an FM station. They could also use these to communicate with me. I learned my call button didnt work when I realized they had started the test and hadnt given me any blankets. Mid-test I was so cold that I was shivering. Instead of asking if there was anything wrong, they told me loudly to lay still. Mid-test they began giving me an update every time the sound changed. With each update, the volume on the headphones also went up and a second station was added. I could not hear music but a very loud mix of perhaps my FM station and maybe a satellite station. Everything was unrecognizable and extremely loud. My ears rang for at least 2 hours after the test. I suspect they were accidentally turning the level up each time they told me how many minutes a portion would take, which was silly and unnecessary anyway. One of their "selling points are glasses with a mirror that help you see outside. I could look out and see a dumpster covered with snow. This didnt help when I was already trying not to shiver- on their orders. Eventually I was so cold that I found myself crying. Again, no response to the call button but screaming updates on the headphones. When I was done, my body was so cold my husband could feel cold coming from me inches away. The technicians response was that I should have asked for a blanket. Apparently they could not see me shivering or crying, despite much of my body being out of the machine. About 15 minutes later, wearing my coat a stranger said, "Oh, that is odd, I feel cold coming from your coat and I didnt think it was that cold outside." I took my coat sleeve off and she could feel the cold was still coming from my body. Did I have an unuually set of bad experiences? Perhaps, but I would not chance returning to that site and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone else. An older and/or less healthy person would have been at serious risk laying in that cold. Finally, their big claim is the opportunity to see your results online "in a few days." More than a week later I am still waiting. When I called to ask about it I was hung up on. It was rude but consistent.

I dont normally post reviews bit noticed some folks had bad experiences so Ill share mine. I had a very good experience with everyone working at CDI from the receptionists to the Dr that performed the procedure. Everyone I met was friendly and made me feel comfortable before, during and after my procedure.

What can I say... my first experience was lousy. There are other radiologist to see and I told them so. Any business so arrogant and inconsiderate to their customers , is either ready to go out of business or is making too much money to care...
