Very disappointed with our experience at West Lakes Dentistry. I took my 4 year old there last fall and was told that she had 4 cavities that needed filled, and that they needed to be filled immediately. I was guilt tripped and basically told that Im a bad parent for letting her teeth get that bad. After being provided an estimate of $400 to have the cavities filled, I said that we needed to hold off on scheduling the appointment while we worked to budget that in. The receptionist responded that "Each day you let it go your daughter is in more and more pain, so I guess you need to get your priorities straight!". I left in tears. I was then hounded with phone calls and emails for the next month, harassing me to get the appointment set up. I just took her to Camp Smile in Excelsior (which is absolutely amazing by the way) and was told that she has zero cavities and her teeth look great. Do not put your child through dental work at West Lakes Dentistry without getting a second opinion. This place is extremely money hungry, and does not look out for their patients best interest. Will never be back again!!

Unfortunately not a good experience for our family. Moving from Florida we were hoping to find a great local dentist we could trust. Westlake was very disappointing. Our first appt was 90 minutes, about 15 of it was spent actually cleaning our teeth, disappointing. Much of the time was an attempt to up-sell each of us on new services: X-rays $120, deep cleaning $1200, dental insurance $280, whitening, "are you happy with your current crowns?", "send us a referral and we will give you a free electric tooth brush", etc.... Was a bit exhausting really. we are regulars at our prior dentists and never miss our 2x per year visits ----never before have I had such an experience....or been told I need so many additional services. Either they know something no one other dentist I have ever met doesnt, or it seems they have a system which made me feel I was visiting a "used car lot". They seem like nice enough people and I Wish them well, but I hope someone there reads this and changes something quick--- makes me exhausted just thinking about it again.

I have not actually been there myself yet, but I called to schedule an appointment for my fiance and was very pleased. The lady on the phone was able to answer all of my questions and get an appointment made within a couple days. My fiance seemed to have a good experience. Well see how things continue to go, as they are actually not in network with his dental insurance provider. For visit number two we couldnt remember if the appointment was at 10 or 11, so we went online to get their phone number. The site said the office did not open until noon. It was only about 8:30, but we called anyways and they were open already. My fiancé later went in for his deep cleaning, and when I came home he had an appointment card for something another week out. I asked him and he said they only did half of his mouth. Im beginning to get a bit weary, but will continue to let things play out.

As a new customer - Ive received a great value for my investment with the new enrollment package. Theyve already helped me gain confidence in the future of my dental health. West Lakes has invested in top of the line technology and can offer me solutions my old dentist could not. Some of the problems they are fixing are issues Ive been begging to have corrected for over 16 years. Previous dentists have simply told me it could not be done, but now I have an appointment scheduled at West Lakes to make it happen. Todays cleaning and basic exam just might have been a life-changing positive experience! They have a friendly, experienced staff from start to finish - all of them professionals that are specific to the role they play at the office. Im happy to be supporting this new local business and the neighbors they employ :-)

I am a 65 year old woman who has had numerous experiences with dentists over the years and I can honestly say that I have never had such a positive experience than the one I had at West Lakes Dentistry. From the moment I walked into this new, professional office I was welcomed by a warm and friendly staff. Any fear that I have had towards dentists was completely dispelled by Dr. Stephanie Miner. Dr. Miner is sensitive to the needs of the patient, providing skilled and efficient care that gave me confidence that I was receiving excellent treatment. My appointment was a positive experience and I am relieved that I finally found a dentist that I dont dread going to every time I require dental work.

"First, West Lakes does good work. Second, there isnt any unnecessary up-sell on everything you dont need. anything you could want will be provided and any service you require will be offered, but nothing shady is going on with trying to find more work in your mouth. The hours are great for someone who has to work for a living to get in and see a dentist. The staff is very friendly. The lobby is welcoming and even has a gaming system for the kids. The toothbrush you get with the cleaning service is actually usable. The list goes on and on. I wish I had more cavities so I could go back and spend more time there, maybe Ill take up drinking more energy drinks and/or beer.

I just recently had my 4 year old in to get her first cavity filled, and a broken front tooth pulled. She was quite nervous the days leading up to it. We left for the dentist with a few stuffed animals for moral support. I cannot say enough, how amazing Dr. Minor and her assistant were with my daughter! They explained everything to her with words she knew and understood, and they treated her with such happiness and gentle care. I am over the moon excited that she wont have a scary thought in her head when thinking of the Dentist, as so many do, they are unmatched in my opinion with customer care and service, and I would recommend them to anyone at any age!!!

Yesterday I had my first visit with them. They took the time to get to know me a little before jumping right in with the cleaning and exam. I had Liz, who was absolutely great. The way she talked me through the stages of what she was going to do, and how she did everything was wonderful. Sometimes you may get a hygenist who is so over aggresive it turns you off, but she was gentle in her cleaning and yet I knew it was getting done right. I have a tooth that is a little sensitive and as soon as I made her aware, she was so accomadating to me, making sure I was ok. I will be going back for more services as the entire staff was so welcoming.
