This vet office was phenomenal! Dr. Albright, the staff, and techs were all friendly, caring, and compassionate. I just knew they loved pets and their people and truly cared about us, our pet, and our situation. Dr. Albright was knowledgeable and straight forward while presenting all the information. He gave us all the options without pushing us in any one direction. Although this was a sad situation, it was the most positive pet death experience I have ever had. We are on vacation in Prior Lake and our dog was having issues with her back leg and not putting any weight on it. After waiting a couple days, her leg did not get better so we decided she needed to be seen by a vet. We got a same day appointment at Prior Lake Pet Hospital. The staff, techs, and Dr. Albright were very friendly and really cared about our pet. Dr. Albright did a thorough exam of her leg and recommended an x-ray which we agreed to. Dr. Albright was compassionate but also straight forward on the findings. Unfortunately, our dog had advanced stage bone cancer which pretty much dissolved the bone at her knee and this type of cancer always progresses to the lungs. Dr. Albright was very clear as to what our options were even explaining that regardless of what we did there is no recovery. All along Dr. Albright presented the options without pushing us in one direction. We made the decision to put our pet to sleep. This process too was compassionate and gentle as well. We were taken to a cozy comfortable room to be with our dog and offered the opportunity to pay the bill upfront before the euthanasia. The tech brought us a clay print of our dog’s paw with her name on the clay. There was a soft fluffy blanket for her to lay on. When we were ready, we rang a remote door bell and Dr. Albright came into the room. He explained exactly what would happen and stayed with us the whole time. He was compassionate and understanding of how our loss affected all the members of our family, even our 7 year old. Although this was a sad experience, it was the most positive pet death experience I have ever had. As other reviews have said, the office and exam rooms are clean, pretty, homey, and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Prior Lake Pet Hospital, Dr. Albright, staff, and techs. If I lived here, I would be switching to this vet.

I want to start off with stating how I am wondering how many other pet owners have had to choose to put their pets down because they couldnt afford expensive surgery this clinic insisted their pet NEEDED. After almost a week of the vet insisting my cat had an obstruction in his stomach and after almost a week of me insisting the pet in question was NOT the type of cat to eat things like string or cloth they made me feel I had no choice but to either do surgery at the cost of $2000 or put our pet down. I almost put him down. $2000 is a lot of money to come up with all at once. We bit the costs and chose to do it. Now...the one thing the vet never showed me was a letter they recieved from a consulting radiologist. In this letter it pretty much stated it could be one of 3 things. One of which was a simple stomach bug. All those conversations I had with the good Dr and not ONCE was that suggested to me as a cause. In fact the owner of the clinic called me and stated that the invasive exploratory surgery was a common diagnosis tool. Guess a course of antibiotics was the more dangerous ways we could have dealt with this? So...5 days later, poor boy has stiches all the way down his stomach, needs to be monitored closely for infection or any other problems that comes from opening him up and hes on antibotics. Oh...and a bill of over $1600 to the clinic. And I was the bad pet owner...a dangerous thing is a doctor who believes they are so right that they wont see the other possibilities! I would not bring my pets here for care ever again. I truely wish at the time I could have brought him to my regular vet.

I have finally had the last straw with this clinic after being a client there for over 10 years. They are extremely inflexible and are booked so tightly that if you would like to see a doctor on a same day basis, during office hours, they charge an additional $100 for the "inconvenience for them. I find this unacceptable--I certainly dont get treated like that by my human doctors and dentists. The front office staff are consistently unwelcoming, unfriendly, and often rude. Im certainly not going to pay the kind of money this place likes to charge with that kind of lack of customer service. Because Ive been taking my dog and cat there for so many years, Ive just put up with things. No more -- moving on to a vet clinic that values its customers and patients.

We rescued our puppy about 8 months ago and were recommended by family to take her to Prior Lake Pet Hospital. Since that first exam, we have not looked back! Our little puppy is a bit sickly and weve been there often over the last few months. Every interaction with their wonderful receptionists is friendly, educational, and nerve calming! The two veterinarians weve worked with, Dr. Hendrickson and Dr. Albright, have been nothing short of awesome. They are patient, explain everything thoroughly and dont beat around the bush. They keep things simple when they need to, and are always looking out for whats best for our dog as well as our budget. My brother and his wife have been taking their pets there for over 10 years as well. Cant recommend them enough!

A place to watch out. They are thieves. Today i revieved a call from them regarding my dog. The dog was found by a good Samaritan and handed over to this vet clinic. I recieved a call from them letting me know they got my dog and i should pick him up with $35.00 finders fee. When i arrived with $35.00 & my driving licence, after finding out im actually a colored person, they started asking a lot of questions and finally they required my vaccination papers or i have to pay for his vaccine. For sure i can afford owning a dog as a black person......but ignorant people owning rhis business find it hard to believe.

Took all three of my cats there for basic physical check-ups. All the staff were very knowledgeable and professional. The environment was very clean and friendly, you can tell everyone really cares and loves animals! One of my cats needed serious extractions during her routine dental cleaning. The techs call you throughout the entire process, and take generous care of you and your animals (they also send you pictures of your baby while theyre away from you!) The thoughtfulness of this building is awesome, Im happy its so close to where I reside, but even happier the care and handling my animals receive.

This weekend my dog got into something and started throwing up and shaking so bad. I took him into Prior Lake Pet Hospital and received some of the best service I have ever had. Dr. Sarah Clements and the staff were awesome. My dog has a tendency to be scared at vet clinics and at times does not like other people. But they made him feel so much at home that when we came to him up he came out with his tail wagging! I think he loved the attention he was getting from the ladies. He was the most relaxed I have seen him in another place. Thank you so much for helping Andy!
