My father had Alzheimers and we contacted Phoenix. They seemed to make a difficult situation even worse. The office staff was rude, unorganized and most of the time out of touch with what was going on. They would cancel someone at the last minute and have no options for us as far as sending a replacement. They sent people out with no experience at all with Alzheimers and those ladies admitted to feeling uncomfortable, but were sent anyway. We walked in once and the caregiver was completely asleep(day shift) on the couch and my dad was left unattended. The worst part was trying to communicate with the girls at the office, they lack simple communication skills. Its been two weeks since my dad passed and they have not contacted us through any means to express their condolences, which shows theyre not in it because they care about people. We did meet two of the best ladies that cared for my dad right to the very end and loved him, unfortunately the girl at the office called and was highly upset because one of them for came in early to help during my dads final days. Its a mess and I would look elsewhere. I heard they were rated number 1 in Missouri, if thats the case, then the state of our home health system is in a very sad place.
