Julie was helpful when I first picked up the CPAP machine from the local office more than a year ago. But it went downhill from there. Even if you try to call the local Lockhill Selma office, their system sends you to an overseas call center where some of the people (evidently) barely speak English. I called earlier today to report that my CPAP is leaking water and the woman hung up on me after about 60 seconds. In all fairness, I think she was frustrated because we were having trouble communicating. It sounded like she might have been Filipino. On the front end theyre fine (i.e., when you drop by to pick up the machine), but I really dont know how Apria stays in business with this almost total lack of customer service on the back end of the sale. EDIT: Its a week later now, and I just drove over to Lockhill Selma and had a very good customer experience. They were very helpful. So again, the problem is with the 800 number, not with the people here. When I told them about this, they said they know the 800 number needs help—but decisions about outsourcing incoming phone traffic are above their pay grade. They told me that even for their own intraoffice calls, they use their personal cell phones because the Apria phone system rings overseas. Yeah, I know—weird.

People at the local office are extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. Theyll do whatever it takes to get you taken care of. Unfortunately, the rest of Apria seems to be run by Vogons. Theyre completely uninformed and dont care. If you have them save your credit card info, you get random charges at random times without ever being told what youre being billed for. If not, you get statements that are no more descriptive than "Deductible ($price)". They dont even provide enough info for a FSA/HSA to reimburse.

They leave bills and medical information without envelopes on doorsteps of old addresses. Concerning that i know previous owners health issues, debts, and have their SSN readily available.
