Confidence inspiring care for the furrier members of the family is what to expect when visiting Saint Charles Animal Hospital. From bottom to top, the pet care facility is loaded with compassionate and knowledgeable individuals who will do their best to give excellent service at a fair cost. The hospital is truly dated upon initial impression, but the appearance should not fool you. The homey decor and vintage materials convey a sense of ease and familiarity for visitors. The location is practical in many aspects because the concern is for excellent care for your fur baby. My wife and I have been associated with many veterinary services in multiple counties and we have moved all of our furry family members care needs to Saint Charles Animal Hospital. If you are looking for a change or you are in need of vet service in the Saint Charles City area, please give the fine folks at St Charles Animal Hospital a try... you wont be disappointed!

It was a fateful day when my girl friend told me our kitten was not acting right. We took him to the nearest vet to be looked at because he wasnt breathing normally. When we arrived, granted, they promptly had the vet see him. But we were met with rudness and disbelief when we told her his symptoms. She was quick and dissmissive to tell us he was fine and when we asked her to take a closer look she just shrugged her shoulders and said there was no way she would know. We left feeling uncertain and concerned. Later that day our kitten passed away... Dont take your animals here if you really do care. They dont know what theyre doing here. Not to mention they declaw cats. Thats so sick!!!

Dr. Huebner and staff saved my antique kittys life! They are wonderful and compassionate, and very professional. I was distraught at how ill my baby was, and I went in several weeks ago fully expecting to not bring her home, she was so sick. They treated her, and gave her medicine for me to administer at home, which was dicey because even as sick as she was, she fought me every time I tried. They then saw her every day to give her the antibiotic, and now I have a helper to give the meds to her. She is improving, albeit slowly, but little by little, she is returning to her old self. The Doctors and Staff at this office are exceptional in there care and compassion for the owners and the pets they treat. When one of my animals came down with an auto immune problem, they did not hesitate to recommend a specialist that was familiar with the problem and had better resource to treat it. I never had to second guess if they were doing the right thing for my pets, they made sure she had the best treatment even if it was not at their office. I also appreciate that they take in sick and wounded animals and nurse them back to health and give them up for adoption, because of this practice I now have a precious cat that is healthy and full of energy.

After experiencing St Charles Animal Hospital second-hand through my parents as a child growing up with several dogs, my husband and I decided to become patrons ourselves. We have two boxers and Brutus & Betsy are always well taken care of. The vet-assistants are always friendly, helpful, and seem genuinely interested in our dogs. They remember us when we call and visit. The veterinarians on staff answer all of our questions and take superior care of our "fur babies." We couldnt be happier with these care-takers and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for care for their pet.

The doctors, nurses, and technicians have been the most caring individuals for me and my pets. Having dogs and cats, it doesnt always make timely appointments a reality. The people at St Charles Animal Hospital have been willing to take our pets at the moment an accident happens or when I can finally catch an unwilling kitty to be stuffed into the pet carrier and brought in for a late appointment. I trust their judgement and skill. My parents and I have been taking our animals there for as long as I can remember.

In that time period I have had to have 2 pets put down and the understanding and care they gave was very comforting. Whenever there is a problem with my pet I can count on them to see him in a timely manner and as well as for regular checkups. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet for their pet. Dr Mike and Dr Huebner and their whole team have been my vet since I got my first dog. They have cared for all of my animals ever since. They are the best! Excellent care, tremendous compassion, and kindness. When Ive lost a pet, I think theyve grieved right along with me. Best place to take your pets! I will always take my pets here; my dogs are loved while they are there and they are not afraid when they are here. We had to call for an emergency with out lab it was late on a Saturday and the Dr. stayed and performed an emergency surgery which saved her life! Thank you for all you do for the animals!

The staff is very caring, patient, and knowledgable. They have cared for eight of our familys pets over a twenty-five year period. When it was necessary to make some difficult decisions, the doctors explained every option which aided us in making informed choices. Our highest compliments to everyone there.

So friendly, everything was timely and efficient! I always love taking Sophie there. I ask questions(probably some interesting ones since I am a first time dog owner) they answer. Affordable and close to my house you cant beat the text alerts for appointments and the genuineness of the staff.
