I began working for Triage as a traveling physical therapist in September 2016, and am about 3 weeks away from completing my first contract with them. The reason I chose to look into this company as a potential employer was because many previous grads from my school (University of Pittsburgh) had told me about how well the company and their recruiters (Carla Vigness and Angie Yost) had treated and managed them. I must say that I am VERY happy with my choice to become a Triage employee. Carla is my recruiter, and she is the sweetest, most hard working and caring person! I can tell in the interactions that we have that this is not just a job for her, and that she truly cares about my success as a PT and my complete happiness in the location where I have chosen to work. As a new grad searching for my first job, she was very thorough in explaining the process to me and always available for all questions I had. Carla will text me out of the blue, just to say hello, check in on how things are going, or to send me a Bitmoji telling me to have a nice day! On the first day of my first job, a conflict arose with the orientation process to this new job, which left me in a really difficult and unpleasant position. As soon as this happened, I reached out to Carla to tell her how I was struggling. She immediately kicked it into high gear and had the conflict with the contracted company resolved, and got me the help I needed by the following day. Her incredibly hard work and desire to help me acclimate to this new job allowed for a much smoother transition, for which I could not be more thankful! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Carla has been as a recruiter, and I look forward to working with her for all my future contracts!! As graduation from PT school was approaching, I still had questions about the traveling process and whether or not that lifestyle was for me. Something that I really appreciated about Triage was that one of their recruiters who has worked with Pitt grads before, Angie, flew out from Nebraska all the way to Pittsburgh, PA to speak with those of us who were interested in traveling. At that meeting, she was able to answer any questions we had about the traveling process and talk to us about how Triage managed their employees. That initiative and dedication to helping us, along with Angies warm and bubbly personality, sold me on the company right there. I am so very happy with my decision to work as a Triage employee and would recommend Triage, Carla and Angie to all of my friends interested in traveling!

My wife Chris is a Clinical Lab Scientist and I am a retired School Teacher. About 8 years ago, my wife and I were both out of work for over a month and our savings were dwindling fast. At that time, our son Matt was total bed care 24/7 so one of us had to be home to take care of him, so I stopped teaching. We were at our wits end when I decided to put Chriss resume online. As soon as I clicked the submit button, the phone rang. It was absolutely remarkable. It was an agent from TriAge Staffing calling for Christine Burden. It was remarkable. Our seeming hopeless situation was now filled with hope. I had no idea how providential TriAge would be in changing and shaping our lives in the years to come. Chris was hired immediately and she found that TriAge was offering the top pay for her industry. Her job was to fill in for other Clinical Lab Scientists sometimes for vacation, other times for short term illness, or other times when a CLS retired or was let go and someone was needed to fill in until a permanent CLS could be found. That was the situation she found herself in at the Howard Memorial Hospital in Ukiah. She was there for about 7 months while I stayed in Fresno as a Care-giver for our son. For seven months, Chris worked 10 days on and had 4 days off every 2 weeks. Without fail, she came back to Fresno for her 4 days off every 2 weeks. It was a 5 to 6 hour trip one way. As soon as her shift ended on her 10th day, she was on the road to Fresno. At that time I was between a rock and a hard place. I couldnt get a doctor to come to the house to see our son, nor could I get him to a doctor. Finally Dr. Fox, a Psychiatrist, agreed to come out to the house and our son began to get better over time. After seven months, the Lab Manager at the Ukiah Hospital was being transferred to the Hospital in the semi rural town of Willits about 22 miles North on 101 and he asked my wife to go with him as a permanent employee of the hospital. At that point, our son was well enough to make the move, so we decided to go for it. The trees and landscape around Willis are beautiful. Weve been here for about 7 years now. When my wife retires, we want to move to Crescent City to have a manufactured house built for Matt with a little mother in law unit in the back yard. I thank the Almighty Creator for providing TriAge Staffing just in time to make a difference in our lives!

I started working as a lab traveller around 2004 after working for a couple of the bigger companies for a few years I was happy to find Triage staffing. I really appreciate how honest and helpful they were. My original recruiter left after a few years of working with him and I was actually sad to lose him, but the others I worked with were just as good. I loved that I only had to work with my recruiter, and not 5 different people, or a different recruiter for each job. After working for a handful of different companies over the past 12 years I can say Triage was my favorite, I always felt like my recruiters were genuinely interested in making my experience with them a good one. I can also say that i found a few of my jobs and had Triage set up my contracts, the lab directors had previously worked with other companies and they were really impressed with the side of the company that works with the hospital as well. My only complaint is that there doesnt seem to be much "employee appreciation" After 12 years of traveling my wages didnt increase very much and the only way to get a bonus was to refer someone else to the company which I did a couple of times. I never received an extension bonus, a completion bonus etc, etc, etc... I think they offer a bonus if you dont take any days off during your contract but many of my contracts were close to a year and I find it difficult to think that anyone works a year without taking a day off. Irregardless they were still my favorite.

I spoke with several companies for a year, before I was referred to Triage Staff. I had never heard of them before, but my first interaction Jeff, the recruiter, was refreshing. He was able to put me at ease and be straight forward with me about where the assignments are. Then he put me in contact with my account manager Carla Vigness. What a match made in heaven!! I have heard horror stories of how recruiters have left the travelers stranded. I never had the problem, Carla always made sure to check on me, make sure I was safe and had what I needed, even when I was in locations with no cell service. I never have to worry about being fed incorrect information just to get me on the books, she has always been straight forward with me letting me know where the jobs are. I am on break from traveling now, but even while taking a very long break, we have maintained communication. I have heard that it is best to have at least 2 companies that you work with for travel jobs, but over the 2.5yrs that I traveled with Triage, I never had to work with another company. And I dont foresee working with another company as long as Carla is who I work with.
