Dont go here... the first time I went in September 2015, I saw his PA. I had an several sores on my nose that would not go away. They were embarrassing. Id had the sores for 6 weeks and a month earlier had been to Elliot Emergency Care (dont go there either because they said just wash your nose and get plenty of fresh air!). When I went to Derry Dermatology, I had makeup on my nose to hide the infection as it was embarrassing. I had sores on my nose. She did not put me under a light and she did not put on gloves to examine my nose. I thought I had bad rosacea but she thought it was herpes simplex. I told her Elliot diagnosed impetigo (which I disagreed with) and she did too. She also said it was not rosacea. She gave me prescription cortisone cream and told me not to rub my nose with oils (Id been self treating with tea tree and frankincense) and to come back in 2 weeks. I really did not want the cortisone cream because cortisone exacerbates rosacea but she would not prescribe anything else. When I came back in 2 weeks, I saw the MD,, Ed Zabawski. He at least turned on a bright light and looked at my nose. He said it was damage from demodex mites (associated with rosacea). My nose was better than before but there were a few spots left. He said the demodex were gone (how he knew that, I do not know) and to do nothing. I thought he was pompous and a little condescending. I have a MS in Engineering and am quite educated but medicine is out of my speciality. However, Im not stupid. Fast forward 5 months... after going to another dermatologist in Huntsville AL (who threw me out of her office when I went for my 2nd appointment with her because I told her staff that unless she did a skin scraping, culture, biopsy or some sort of test to determine if I had a bacterial, fungal or parasite, I was not going to pay for the appointment -- guess that was too much to ask for a test!), I keep doing research and diagnosed myself. The skin on my nose was similar to impetigo but different. It was similar to rosacea (rhinophyma) but different. It was similar to cellulitis but different. Similar to lupus pernio but different.... I kept searching and searching. FINALLY, I found it. I had erysipelas... a skin infection not of the deep layers but just under the epidermis. It matched perfectly. The cure? 7 - 10 days of amoxicillin or penicilln, 500 to 1000 mgs, 3 X a day. I dreaded going to yet a FIFTH doctor but thought maybe my GP would prescribe the medicine. My nose had been infected for SEVEN MONTHS!!! I went to four doctors! If the 5th gave me a hard time, i thought Id go insane. My social life had been impacted for months. I was depressed because of the sores on my nose. So after researching some more, I found amoxicillin and penicillin for fish are human grade consumable. I had a bottle of 100 fish amoxicillin at 500 mg overnighted to me. Within 24 hours my nose greatly improved. I am sure this is the problem. I understand people make mistakes but out of four doctors I saw (three of them being SKIN SPECIALISTS, not one of them thought to do a skin scraping to analyze what was wrong. Not one. As a matter of fact, when I insisted on a test, I was thrown out of the dermatologist office. I dont know whats going on... maybe dermatologists today just want to give botox shots or other cosmetic procedures. It amazed me when I was searching for dermatologist how I had to week out the ones that specialized in cosmetic procedures. Thankfully, I kept researching and thank goodness fishs systems cannot tolerate impurities and their antibiotics are exactly the same as humans. In the futures, I am going to try to cut doctors out of my life because like Zabawski and his PA, theyre stupid, they dont examine patients closely and they dont take test... Doctors also compartmentalize everything but thats a different complaint. Dr Zabawski, the money my insurance company and I spent at your office was wasted and you wasted my time...

I had 2 surgeries on what I was told was multiple cysts and was then referred to a plastic surgeon by Dr Zabawski for a 3rd surgery. I had been on antibiotics at least 4 times and the problem just came back. I spent over $1000 on surgeries. I got on high dose probiotics and after 1 week by issue started to completely clear up so I was able to cancel the surgery. The antibiotics I was given was just making the issue much worse. It turned out to actually be a yeast infection.

All other dermatologist had at least 4-6 week waiting lists, but I was able to get in to see the PA within a week of calling. The staff is very nice, helpful, and pleasant. The PA took our history and gave us what we need for our skin problem. Scheduled a recheck in 6 weeks and expect that we will continue to be happy with the people in this office.
