I was dropped as a patient from primary care for questioning a contract. When picking up my first prescription of the new year I was met with a pain management contract. This had no relevance to my medical history. They said in order to get my prescription for "adhd" they would need a urine sample, something Ive never had to do before. I denied the test until someone could clearly explain what and why. No one could and I never got a call to confirm my questions. I received a letter in the mail a week later saying they were dropping me as a patient. No explanation why, just a list of referral practices. I called to question this and they said it was because I denied the urine test. I tried explaining the situation and they had no interest in hearing my side. I asked to talk to the doctor and they said he didnt want to. I tried scheduling an appointment and the only thing they had was months in advance. They were rude, inconsiderate, and extremely disrespectful. Seemed they were much more concerned in defending their poor policies then addressing my worries with their approach. Never have I been treated so poorly. Such a shame as Ive gone here pretty much my whole life and my business supports them. Neither will be happening anymore..

The WORST medical experience ever. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I was in a skiing accident where I was advised I had to go to the ER by the ski resort due to hitting my head and inability to bear weight on my leg. Id had three prior reconstructive joint surgeries and this was the MOST pain Id ever been in without pain meds. I went to this facilitys ER where they only had one other patient. I advised I was in 8/10 pain. All the physician did was give me a referral to my primary care physician and take an x-ray. Given that I was unable to walk, I followed up with an orthopedist whose med student glanced at the x-ray and advised the ER had missed a fracture indicative of an ACL rupture. I requested a copy of my medical records from New London Hospital to learn that the ER physician had taken NONE of my symptoms seriously and had marked my pain 3/10, that I had a sprain, and I noticed that my x-ray had not been reviewed until day(s) after I left the facility without any follow up. Their radiologist indefinitely found a fracture, however, it was so obvious I even saw it when I reviewed it with my ortho. Again, DO NOT GO HERE.

If negative stars were possible, then that would be what I give this place. I went in with reoccurring on and off blindness, pulse hitting 190 when just sitting and weakness. I was admitted into the NH Hospital for Anxiety a few months before and a doctor at New London was married to my doctor in the NH Hospital. When I went in with those problems, the doctor flat out told my "My wife told me about you." No lie. I was furious. Confidentiality my a**. He sent me home saying it was just anxiety. A couple months later I was admitted into Dartmouth Hitchcock and was diagnosed with two rare heart conditions. If the idiot had done something about it in New London, I would be fine. If you get Doctor Kenneth Call in the ER, leave for your own good.

I was driving my wife to Vermont and on the way back I started having chest pains. I recently had a major heart attack and didnt even know that New London hospital was there. I pulled off the side of the road and got to the hospital. I also have severe pancreatitis anyways, I was greeted with a smile and after being to follow me. I was rushed into a room. I didnt see the DR. For a little while ( she was the only one there so I understood) Rich my nurse was unbelievable and then when I finally saw the doctor ( Dr. Jonasson I believe) She was the best doctor I have ever had in my life. Doctors are great. Nurses are great. I live about 35 minutes. If it is not a life threatening emergency. I AM DRIVING TO THIS HOSPITAL WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Everyone was so nice from the nurseing staff to the Doctors to the house keeping people. I was going to Dartmouths Mary Hichcock Hospitol where the nurses were rude and bedside manners were horrible. I followed my surgeon to New London Hospital cause he is a great surgeon. Dr. Kantor replaced both of my hips. Thw right one at Dartmouth and did a great job and I trusted him and the left hip in New London Hospitol. The nurses that took care of me during my stay at dartmouth made me feel like I was a burden and the nurses at New London Hospitol really made me feel like I was like family. If I ever need to have another surgery (orthopdeicly) I will go back to new London Hospital.

Was recently an in-patient to the hospital. Staff very friendly. One of the Doctors covering was a surgeon from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Outstanding bedside manner, and very knowledgeable. The other Doctor covering, the Hospitalist, whom I saw during my 2 mornings was also outstanding!! I also have been at the hospital for same day procedures and all the staff from the lab to radiology to the pain management staff are great! I would recommend New London Hospital for anyone seeking healthcare.

This hospital makes you think they care when in reality a bowl of soup gets better treatment of their employees. The hospital is experiencing financial trouble. Per Diem wages were cut and so was some staffing, But Bruce King (President and Ceo) Did not take a pay cut neither did any of the higher ups just the people who actually deal with the patients got pay cuts (Awesome!). Some of the Management derived from McDonalds University(No joke or pun intended).

I have been a patient at New London Hospital for 15 years. The quality and professionalism of all the staff from the doctors to the surgeons is just great. I cannot understand why anyone would give this hospital a negative review. Remember that even doctors are humans. Our daughter is a doctor at a highly prestigious hospital in CA. She was at my bedside during a surgery and she was very pleased with the care I was given.

Reading some of the reviews, I guess there is just no pleasing some people! I had my left hip joint replaced a month ago and about to get my right hip joint replaced. I have to say that my treatment, care, handling and surgery at New London Hospital was nothing short of world class! Not bad for a small rural hospital in the heart of New Hampshire! Thumbs up to all the staff there - you are all doing an excellent job!

In the years between 2003-2009 I had surgery, X-rays, ultra sounds, blood work, bone density and mamagrams, and numerous doctor visits with their physicians, but no one, no one, can find my records. Its like theyve vanished into thin air!
