I came to Lens Doctors a few years ago soon after a major move to NH from New York City. From the moment I set foot in the door I was greeted with smiling faces, a professional environment and super educated customer friendly staff. My eye exam went well with Dr. Mocklis. Hes just the best really friendly and easy to talk too. From there, I was graciously helped by the staff. I think it was Andrea to assist me pick out a frames...and for a super picky, stubborn customer Andrea stayed with me the whole way and actually made the process fun. In fact, I just couldnt choose between 3 different pairs of frames and asked if it would be OK if I could come back in a few days after I had time to think about it. Absolutely no pressure. I returned in 5 days picked my frames, paid and in no time I had my new glasses. Since then, Lens Doctors is just where I go and over the years purchased another 3 pairs of glasses/frames and one pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. Listen, no business is perfect, but at every turn the staff at Lens Doctors immediately addressed any issues along the way and it was clear that I came first. I would highly recommend Lens Doctors to anyone seeking a solid, well-managed, excellent & super educated Doctors with a well-trained staff that have the wherewithal and the ability to address any problems that may arise.

I only gave three stars to Lens Doctors because of the long wait that I have experienced, as well as the lack of communication from the staff. I was asked to come in 15 minutes early to fill out 5 minutes of paperwork, and then waited an additional 10 minutes after my appointment time. I was told that my glasses would take 1-2 weeks to arrive. After 2 weeks I initiated a call to them, could not get an immediate answer, they called back but left a faulty voice message that could not be accessed. So the next day I called them back, and was told it would be 3 more days because the frames were on back order. I called on the designated day, and was told they would be 5 more days. I have been wearing glasses for 30 years and have never waited 3 1/2 weeks for my new ones. And of course, my credit card was billed immediately. So, $500+ dollars and 3 1/2 weeks later, I still do not have my glasses. I will go elsewhere next time!

I experienced floaters in my right eye vision a couple of months ago which escalated to red bubbles. I visited Lens Doctors in Portsmouth, NH. for advise. They immediately made an appointment for an examination and diagnosed my condition as a detached retina. They promptly made an appointment for me at the Eye Center in Portland Maine. One week later I had corrective surgery and now it is 2 weeks after and Im recovering as expected. I am grateful to the staff and Dr. Wendy Crusberg who were very helpful and professional. Thank you Lens Doctors !!

QUESTIONABLE BILLING PRACTICES -- Received a $125 bill with little explanation over 6 months after my appointment... after calling them without a reply for 4 months to get answers on why the additional charges for a routine eye visit, I just paid the money and will never go back. Be careful with these guys and make sure you understand the billing before the appointment. Despite EyeMed and BCBS coverages for routine visits being accepted, they tried to double bill the insurance and then went after me for extra $$.

VERY HAPPY!! I used to be so frustrated with my glasses. I had issues for a few years with my reading and up close vision and Progressive Lenses just were not my friend! LOL .. BUT now I have my new glasses and they are WONDERFUL, I can read, play games on my tablet, see to drive, and do everything! They took great care to listen to my concerns and gave me a great prescription. Everyone in the office was great to work with, very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Lens Dr,. to everyone!

Best experience Ive ever had at an eye doctor. I needed to get contacts, they made me an appointment within one day of me calling, did my exams quickly, gave me 9 free samples of my contacts, answered all my questions thoroughly and had me on my way. All and all it took me about 40 minutes. Also I didnt have a case for my glasses because I left wearing the contacts and they gave me a nice free case to bring them home in.

I could not be more pleased with Dr. Mocklis and the Lens Doctors staff. They are all very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Dr. Mocklis takes the time to listen to his patients and to explain his observations in plain English so that it is easily understood. I find these qualities are increasingly rare these days, but not at Lens Doctors. Our family of five will never go anywhere else!

I have been going to Lens Doctors for years and love them! I have been to both the Portsmouth and Manchester offices and have been very happy at both. The service and the doctors are great. I dont even request a specific doctor when I go because they are all wonderful. I have been there for routine eye exams as well as emergencies and have always been satisfied. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Mocklis and staff are outstanding! Exceptional customer service, thorough exam, very welcoming atmosphere! Frames and lens prescription are what you would expect to pay for a pair of glasses - I did not find them overly expensive and I looked at frames that would fall into most budgets. I highly recommend Dr. Mocklis and team!
