Well they made the hospital bigger, even more ugly and have a long neon light that looks like you are entering a red light district. The receptionist on Tues. 4/22/14 fit the attitude of a no class ill trained red light district dweller. When I ran into emergency room gagging and holding my chest in a wet sweat, I was asked for my information. Before I could get through it I asked for a bucket and ran to the bathroom. I was in the bathroom for about 10 min. And no one in that emergency waiting room could avoid hearing how sick I was. No one from the hospital was sent in. When I finally could come out of the bathroom I asked if they could please put me in the ER . The receptionist needed the rest of my info. first while I dry heaved in a pink bucket. Then I was told to take a seat. Well being mortified and sick and scared I was having a heart attack, I sat for about 15 min. while two other people came in after me and were taken into the ER with complaints of fever both young adults, And looking fine. So my husband drove me to Lakewood. In Lakewood hospital they grabbed me put heart monitor on started IV fluids and anti nausea meds, blood work, An anti nausea shot, X-rays, Ultra sounds and admitted me. All within no time and they were crowded. So I would not send my dog to Meridian. Its nice that employees say they are treated fairly at Brick Meridian, maybe they should train the workers better. The workers should treat the patients better thats for sure. Thanks to Saint Barnabas I was taken care of. They diagnosed a few semi serious issues and took care of them. If my family ever needs an ER again it will NOT be Meridian.

UNBELIEVABLE..Not sure if the Brick or Neptune Meridian ER is worse. I had severe abdominal pain to the point I could not speak, I felt assured that my appendix was going to burst or something bad was going to happen if I didnt get help asap. I entered the ER with my husband & NO ONE was at the main desk, I slumped down on a chair by the entrance to ER pale & sweaty while my husband walked in circles peering through empty rooms with glass partitions & the wooden double doors that open to the ER were locked. I was in shock this was going on, how unacceptable. I got the strength to walk over to the Adminsions room & knocked loudly on the glass, I yelled "I need help"... the girl went to get someone else, who ofcourse didnt do anything except ask for my in ins & info. My husband then said how weve been there 10 mins waiting to "find" help, so he asked her if he could give my info cause I was in severe pain, she ignored him & just continued 2 ask me questions like she was good of emotion. When I got in the room I did not even get any help for over an hr, I was crying & moaning in agony. Go somewhere else where they care...I think they either get paid more, or they just might care!!
