This place is extremely unprofessional. My boyfriend, after almost 6 years of struggling, finally did something and asked for help for himself. His first visit there he was greeted by an unpleasant older blonde lady who didnt even seem to care he was there. For a place offering help to people who need it, they dont act like they even want you there at all. He went in with the doctor and was told to do an extensive outpatient program. He doesnt have time for that so declined the offer. He started medication the next day and was told to come back for weekly appointments. Next visit, he was greeted the same way. This woman needs an attitude adjustment, and so do a few other receptionists. His copay was $30. Doesnt seem like much, but he cant afford $30 a week. They told him his only option to avoid the copay was the extensive outpatient program, as if his schedule magically opened up. He still does not have time for that. He planned to make that his last visit, however today he ran out of medication and he cant see another doctor until at least next week. When calling to get a prescription, the phone prompts you to select 2 and then says to have your pharmacy fax a refill request. He did that a few days ago so that he would have his medication, and Genpsych denied the request without explanation. For a mental health facility, these people should know how dangerous it can be to stop taking medication cold turkey. They are claiming it was an insurance issue, however there was no issue last time? I went in to speak to them on his behalf and it resolved nothing, and he has called numerous times. We are concerned for the side effects of stopping this medication so abruptly but no one there seems to care too much. This place sees you as a dollar sign and nothing more. Save yourself the time, money, and hassel and choose another facility.

About 5 years ago I met Dr. Ye, and putting it mildly she literally saved my life in so many ways. I have read the reviews about Dr.Ye, and I can tell you for certain she is ABSOLUTELY the most caring human being you will ever meet. Do not mistake someones accent/difference in their native language for lack of, caring, or poor communication skills. I can assure you she listens very intently to everything you say, and she without a doubt understands what you are saying, and more importantly she genuinely cares about your mental health, and well being. I met with Dr.Ye about 5 years ago after my marriage fell apart, and I was very sad after losing my immediate family to various unforeseen illnesses, basically I was completely devastated, and never felt so low. This PERSON/HUMAN BEING/LOVING AND CARING INDIVIDUAL Dr. Ye helped me see that life goes on, I am deserving of happiness, and she helped me find that. Please do not let some of these cruel people influence you who have made these terribly untrue statements about Dr.Ye change your mind. I am now in a very happy, and loving relationship for over 4 years, and my life has done a complete 180 degree turn, and yours can too. Last but not least, please understand that while these sites are helpful for others that the people you are reviewing are people with feelings, so please be careful, and chose your words carefully because you never know just how hurtful they can be. Best of luck if you are reading this review!

NEVER NEVER NEVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS PROGRAM. My daughter was in this program. She had an eating disorder, panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. Despite the seriousness of her illness, which got worse the longer she was in the program, we as her parents were never notified of such. They did not follow their Treatment Plan or their own protocol. She was supposed to be seeing the psychiatrist once a week but was seen only once at the beginning of her stay and then again at the end, before she was discharged with a happy face and a diploma. She died three weeks later. Despite what they say in their advertising, they have no one on staff who is qualified to treat eating disorders. She was basically supervised by a single, unqualified therapist whose only license was "LAC" which we believe stands for licensed abuse counselor. We did not discover how horrible her treatment in the program was until we were able to read our daughters medical records AFTER SHE DIED. She should have been referred for hospitalization but was not, even though she became a danger to herself. The HIPPA laws were used as an excuse for Genpsychs bad decision making and malpractice.

I really didnt like it. The groups had way too many people in them, DBT was horrible and done wrong, and the process groups were far too open for outpatient groups. And many of the groups werent even what they were supposed to be, nor were qualified people running them. I also managed to self harm while in a session with my therapist. I mean come on, it takes a pretty bad therapist not to notice that. The worst was probably something i think was called suicide watch. It was a piece of paper that you needed to fill out every day if they thought you were in danger of suicide. It basically asked you if you were suicidal, wanted to self harm, etc. It was completely stupid. If youre really suicidal, a piece of paper isnt gonna stop you. I also couldnt connect with the problems of others at all. A few people (who seemed to have the most trivial problems) just took up all the time. And i think they were shut down for insurance fraud anyway.

Had an appointment for May, they cancelled and told me to go elsewhere because they didnt have anyone to see me. WOW! Thats my problem? They said they would refill my scripts. They never followed through and now I have to call all the time. Cant get through! After Dr. T left the place is falling apart. There was only a nurse practitioner reducing my medication and not helping. However she is gone as well. It takes about 3 months to get on a waiting list for a new provider. There is no one in charge there. If you have an appointment, god help you! They will be out of business soon. I feel so bad for the patients that have to go on a dairy basis for therapy. They will be left hanging out to dry like me! I was with Gen Psych when started in Princton years ago. Dr. T was wonderful!

Everyone will have a different experience here. I had been to genpsych multiple times in the last two years. I was there when they had the adolescent and adults in the same building. I had a great experience other than with Dr. Ye. She did not know how to properly communicate with me. It was as if she didnt care. She didnt understand how I felt and could not connect with me. Being a doctor working with mental health patients, you cant assume how someone is feeling. I will no longer be going back, which is a shame considering the therapists and techs were nothing but caring and nice. She was not helping my situation and I dont want to see her again after everything.

If I could give this facility a negative rating I would. I had been seeing a doctor at this facility for medication management but recently left due to the doctor leaving and the facility unable to provide a new doctor to manage my medication for another three months. They didnt even care that I was all out of my necessary medication. Their response was that I should find a new doctor. The staff was completely unprofessional and incompetent for the most part. Its a sad state of our mental health care system when we have facilities like this in charge of caring for our most vulnerable.
