Theres a reason why everyone who posted prior to me have been raving about the staff and Dr. Vorhies! My experience: I noticed some blood in my dogs urine and immediately took him to my local vet. The vet is very busy because it is located in a city, but it is walk-in based-no appointments. The doctor took x-rays and did the necessary routines, but also recommended that he get his shots that were due. She gave him his shots and asked that I schedule an appointment for surgery, if possible. I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Vorhies because my cousin went there when her dog was diagnosed with bladder stones. Dr. Vorhies stated that my dog needed surgery right away due to the risk of bladder obstruction, especially in male dogs. Of course, Dr. Vorhies did not want to talk badly about the vet I just came from, but the nurse informed me that it was odd for the first vet to recommend shots since this was a pretty urgent situation. After a successful surgery, Dr. Vorhies gave me all the information I needed to care for my dog and told me what I should expect. He called the next day to follow-up, which most vets dont do, and reassured me that I could reach him any time if I had any concerns. Overall, I highly recommend Complete Veterinary Care because of the amazing staff who really know how to care for the animals and the animals owners.

OMG. I couldnt have had a better experience. Will never go anywhere else. I took my brothers norfolk terrier there because he hurt his paw. he had already been taken to another vet in bernardsville who wanted to "put him on pain killers and if hes still in pain after two weeks, well x-ray it" then, they wanted to sell him insurance. I heard about this place from the Montville animal shelter. I have 3 dogs and will never go anywhere else. so fair, so kind, great hours (3 late nights) . he spent so much time evaluating, shaved down the paw and explained exactly what was wrong. my brother was so thrilled and relieved that he was given topical meds. the vet was sure no x-rays were needed and recommended that we hold off giving the little guy pain killers. my brother is letting everyone we know. me took.. what a great find!

My sister recommended that I give Dr Vorhies a try so I did and I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am.. Dr Vorhies cares, and has patience with my Chihuahua "ella who can be a difficult patient. I was impressed with his professionalism as to the consultation before treatment and to his planned procedure, cost, and the time he spends with you after the procedure/visit to explain thoroughly what needs to be done once my dog is taken home. I couldnt help but notice how clean the office and examination rooms are.. and the cages were just as clean. His Staff are very friendly and provide excellent customer service. I give Dr Vorhies a 5 star rating without hesitation.

Since moving to the area we had yet to have the need to find a Veterinarian locally. Our little fuzzy friend had a little bit of an incident today and after trying EVERY major (highly advertised) animal hospital in the area and only getting voicemail and promises it was so refreshing to have Dr. Vorhies answer the phone so quickly on a Saturday night! He gave us great advice and showed genuine concern, compassion and empathy- before weve even met in person, even offering to see our little buddy on his day off! You dont find many people or business owners like this anymore, ones who actually care! Without question, we have found our new Vet! :) Thank you Dr. Vorhies!

We were so upset when we went back to the animal hospital for our pup after he had a relapse and found out Dr. Vorhies was no longer there. Luckily the receptionist told me he had gone and started his own practice! He has been dealing with our dog from the beginning and treating him for a rare condition known to his breed. He is the reason our pup is still alive and well! He is so helpful, honest, and always there to talk to when ever you need him. He is always there for an emergency after hours and is so considerate of what youre going through as a pet parent. I have recommended him to as many people as possible because I truly feel he is the best!

Been to quite a few veterinarian’s but Dr. Robert L. Vorhies, DVM, puts the others to shame. This veterinarian actually listens to you, gives you and your pet the time needed to discuss and explain any diagnosis, treatment or procedures. He thoroughly answers any questions you can possibly throw at him and always calls to make sure everything is OK afterward. You don’t leave the office feeling like you are were rushed through and he always seems to be available when needed. I don’t think I ever left a review on Google before but felt compelled considering your pet is family and they could be missing quality care if or when needed.

We love Dr Vorhies so much. Were new pawrents and we can get to be a bit much. We worry about every stub and fuzz extra hard over our pup, and Dr. Vorhies has been along for the entire ride. I feel like they never sleep! No matter when I call, someone answers. Its been so wonderful, our pup loves going to the vet and always comes in with a his rump wagging. He didnt even squeek when the dr gave him shots because the staff did such a fantastic job making our pup feel safe and loved. I wouldnt trade the Dr for the world!!

Today, I came home from work and found my 12 year old beloved dog very ill. He was vomiting and have bloody diarrhea. My regular Vet was closed. I found Dr. Vorhies with a Google search. This wonderful Doctor and his devoted staff immediately took us in. Dr Vorhies was knowledgeable and very kind to my Charlie as well as my whole family. He gently treated my pup and even gave me his phone number in case I was worried over night. I was so impressed that I am seriously considering changing my veterinarian.

We love Dr Vorhies! We followed him to his new practice from our town where he worked for a while for others. We would follow him just about anywhere. He is wonderful with our babies and with us, always has been. He truly truly cares about the animals and he is honest and straightforward. Ive had dogs for 40 years and know vets well, and he is the best. His staff is lovely as well. Very happy to have him, thank you.

By chance I discovered Dr. Vorhiess magic through a co-worker. I have cats and he has been wonderful with each of them from my youngsters to my seniors. In addition to being an excellent diagnostician he is also kind . You know that the moment he is in the room with your pet that they are receiving the best care humanely possible. So grateful my pets have such a great Doctor.

My first visit to Dr. Vorhies office was for an emergency. My 13 year old dog was choking on a dog treat and could barely breathe. He immediately handled the situation and was able to get the treat out of her throat. He is an exceptional and kind veterinarian. I can never thank Dr. Vorhies and his staff enough for saving my dogs life.
